Somehow, customer service gets worse every damn time. I’ve never seen a person work harder at doing the barest minimum. Took nearly 20 minutes to get my sandwich and 10 to get her to acknowledge I needed to pay. Next time, I’m not going to go out of my way to pay. If you want payment, don’t ignore me when I have my orange card out and ready.

Ordered at 2:10pm by phone, arrived at 2:20pm. Didn’t get my wrap until 2:50pm. They only had two guys working the back. Every other Primo’s I’ve been to usually has 4 – 5 people working it. 40 minutes to make a wrap is just horrible. The lady working the counter has told me she is refunding my credit card because of the long wait. She also yelled at them«how long does it take to make a wrap?!», which — seriously guys — she told you I was there 20 minutes ago. I don’t understand how they can expect only two guys to field not only pickup orders, but orders from the bar as well. If you order from this place, it’s probably going to be a 30 – 45 minute wait. The only reason I came here was because the Ritner location was closed after 1pm.

Dislocation clearly needs better help. I came in about 1 o’clock on a Wednesday and it was admittedly busy. But I had previously called in the order for pick up so that I wouldn’t have to wait long. I still ended up waiting 25 minutes and 3 people who ordered while I was there got their food before me. Not even an apology. Totally unacceptable. Step it up primo!

Located in the somewhat eclectic section street of South St, Primo sort of sticks out with a bit of franchise inauthentic vibe. However, results inside are solid. Standard Italian is done well, some little black pepper which adds a touch of simple heat is nice, and whole wheat options are available(but there’s no sesame on them). The full bar is expansive and large, which would make for a good day for a simple beer, a game, and sandwiches. Tap list could be a little more varied, there’s some Yard’s and of the like, but it’s filled with way too many macro offerings. Assembled well, good filling and flavorful, decent. Perhaps not the best but will do the job, I would however recommend sharp prov over the regular for a better tastier experience.

Since this was the only Primos open after 6 we made a trip over for dinner. We ordered to go when we got there. We ordered from the menu with small normal requests. I wanted the wacked chicken with the char grilled chicken, and he wanted a tuna wrap with no mayo. We both repeated ourselves twice because, you know when you can tell someones going to mess something up, thats how this girl was. We waited quite some time for two hoagies(they werent swamped or anytihng or else i’d understand) The staff was all eating behind the counter where we could see them(which is pretty gross if you ask me — i dont want to see the guy making my sandwich licking his fingers. You feel me?). Anyway… When we got home both of our orders were wrong and they went in the garbage. We went and got chipolte. It was pretty damn good.

I’m writing my review based solely on my bar experience. First off, I love the concept of a bar/deli. You can get a little saucy while you wait for your sandwich, how great is that? It’s very clean and modern and the bartender was young, energetic and courteous. Me and a friend ordered two margaritas. They didn’t have the glassware to accommodate however they tried their best and we ended up with a basic margarita in a highball. I was still pleased after I had my lacking margarita and kept them coming. I would go to primos solely for the bar. It’s a great chill atmosphere.

I tend to avoid chain restaurants like the plague unless I’m on a road trip. Do not let the fact that Primo is a chain affect your opinion(I realize it’s a small regional chain, but still…) Primo makes some of the best hoagies in Philly. It really is all about the bread, and their seeded roll is perfect. The sandwich toppings are fresh and top quality. I love the Knuckle Sandwich; it comes with roasted red peppers, sharp provolone, lettuce, tomatoes and I add broccoli rabe. There’s only one thing I don’t understand… the small hoagie comes with sub par bread. The bread is significantly different and seriously affects the quality of the sandwich. I have since learned my lesson and only order medium or large hoagies. Did I mention they have a full bar and serve ice cold beer on draft and in bottles? The beer prices are very good as well. If you haven’t been to Primo yet, you have to give it a try.

While visiting Philadelphia for a conference, I found this little hot spot with the Unilocal app on my phone. As usual, we have not been let down, as this was a solid little sub shop. It is kind of weird that it is attached to a bar, but again, thanks to Unilocal, this didn’t turn us away. This place was so tasty that we actually came here 3 times within 4 days. The first day I ordered a chicken sub that was pretty good, but the chicken parm sub that I ordered on the second day was downright amazing. Against my better judgment, the third day I went away from the chicken parm and ordered the buffalo chicken. It was just alright. They also have several appetizer and dessert options in a little cooler by the register. On the second occasion I bought a pickle and the third day I purchased some mud pie. Both of these items were really good additions to my meal. Overall, this place was a solid eatery in Philadelphia and if I return to this city, I will return to the location.

The place is kinda… eh to me. It did not help that when I got to the bar that all the bartenders were chilling outside, so I had to wait. The tap list was okay with a few decent beers, and the chicken parm sandwich was really good. I might stop back here only if spots like Tattooed Moms and Wooly Mammoth are crowded.

We all know of Primo, the wonderful local hoagie chain that fills our lives with sandwiches galore, and good ones at that. The extra exciting thing about having a Primo Hoagies in proximity is that, for one thing, Primo stays open well past the times when all other decent hoagie places are closed and snoozing snug in their beds. Hoagie hunger never sleeps. Hey world, sometimes the olé gal fancies a delicious Italian hoagie, or a chicken cutlet sandwich, or my go-to Turkey with Cooper Sharp, lettuce, tomato, and long hots… after 4PM. Primo reliably comes through cause they’re open at night. Night hoagies, for ya. Particularly, it’s highly helpful that they’re open til 2AM Friday and Saturday. This South Street spot is always quick and friendly friendly with the service, and clean as a whistle, too. This Primo locale has a good amount of seating, if you wanna eat in. Oh, and they have a full bar. Primo’s wit a bar. That’s something, for ya. They have cheapo PBR pounders, when you’re in need, like for instance, while you’re waiting for your hoagie. So parched, a powerful thirst… Newly realized by me was this exciting factoid: This location has a hoagie happy hour. HOAGIEHAPPYHOUR! That’s a winning combo. Commit this info to memory: Between the hours of 5−8PM, weekdays, all Primo sized hoagies are $ 5.99. The only caveat is that you have to eat in. You gotta order from the bar to get that bargain hoagie price. Not a bad place to be, as hoagie happy hour also features beer and drink specials too. I gots nooo problem enjoying a few while watching ESPN.

The sandwich was good but nothing to rave about. I was not a fan of the bread. Too tough for me but I could tell it was fresh. When it’s hard to bite through you just make a mess. And what sandwich place in Philly doesn’t have a cheesesteak on the menu?

So I was starving earlier and I needed food. Very fast delivery from there indeed. I ordered online and it was a very smooth process. I t got a diablo hoagie. I’m usually never a big fan of hoagies but these guys do it well. Italian bread is great but kinda hard in texture. Loads of meats stuffed right in. If you want quick delivery, check these guys out.

Primos is the best! Their sandwiches are the best in town, and they have $ 1.50 beer all day everyday! The bartender is super friendly!

Great sandwich shop franchise. Chipotle may brag about it’s organic ingredients, but in terms of objective quality, Primos has them beat. While you’ll never get a bad sandwich from a Primos hoagie shop, you can easily find superior sandwiches if you’re in the south Philly area. If you’re out in Jerz or other outskirts, you’re probably better off with the somewhat uninspired but consistently above average Primos.

WOOHOOASGOODASITGETS! Why? Hoagies and FULLBAR. Can’t rave enough about this place. Who would ever think that a hoagie shop would have a bar? And better yet, they have $ 1.50 Bud Lights, and if you want something classier– my Victory Golden Monkey was…$ 4. compared to $ 8 a bottle? I’ll take it. As for food, I ordered the Suprimo– Prosciutto, Mozz and Roasted Red Peppers. Damn, it was good. The bread rivaled Sarcone’s– topped with sesame seeds and CRUNCHY– I couldn’t have asked for a better texture. The prosciutto and mozz were flavorful and tasted exactly like the quality of meat found in the Italian Market. This place is my new go-to for watching sports games. They have a huge tv over the bar, cheap beer and reasonably priced hoagies. Your one stop shop.

I love primos. I especially love primos with decent hours and I really appreciate that this primos stays open past 3pm unlike the rest of the locations in the city. While I think you pay a slight premium with this location, as pricing seems to be a bit higher — it’s definitely worth it for one of their sandwiches.

You can not go wrong when chooseing to eat here. There Hoagies are sold in 3 size’s and are very affordable. It’s all about the bread when making a perfect Hoagie and there bread is pretty awesome. The place felt, warm, happy, clean and nice. The waiteress were all okay, a little slow, but I didn’t mind. The Dirt Pudding is amazeingly good. I loved the back ground music very 90’s.

I love Primo Hoagies. I love this particular location even more because it’s open later on the weekends. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you for being around! In my most recent late night excursion, I decided to get the suprimo(fress mozzarella, prosciutto, and roasted peppers) and my boyfriend devoured the turkey swartzie before I even got to take a look at it. As usual, the sandwiches were perfection — the bread was deliciously soft, the ingredients were fresh as fresh can be, and the staff was super friendly. I will definitely be back for more!
