Primo Hoagies

Got to love Primo’s. Sure, I love sarcones, but there’s a Primo all over the city and they are damn good Hoagies! Fresh mozzarella, thinly sliced sopprasotta, prosciutto. All good!

Great local hoagie done right. Everything made fresh right for your order and exactly how you want it. About 8 $ for the primo (10″) sized turkey and cheese, so it’s not cheap but it is very good. They use the sesame seed hoagie rolls and load it up so be hungry!

The best hoagies! Fresh bread really make the difference and quality ingredients… The chicken suprimo with fresh mozzarella is amazing!

Ordered 2 Old Italians with Lettuce, Tomato, Hot Peppers, and Oil. It was absolutley a five star sandwich until when I got near the end of the sandwich when I tasted onions and after looking at what was left of the sandwich saw 2 pieces of onion mixed with the lettuce. There is a very good reason I don’t ask for onions on my food whether I demand no onions on my fast food burgers or make sure I get no onions on a hoagie or cheese steak. I despise the way they taste. If you wanted to torture me in jail, feed me nothing but raw onions you WILL break me! I’m sure some onions probably got mixed in with the lettuce when adding the veggies to my sandwich it has happened to me before. But that doesn’t change the fact that it completely ruins the sandwich for me. 2 stars lost for hidden onions, that’s how much I hate them! Primo it’s very simple. Next time make sure your lettuce mixture is onion free and I’d have no problem giving your Old Italian Hoagie 5 stars because the non onion part of it was one of the best hoagies I ever had no doubt.

This is the ultimate best Primos! The people who work here are the nicest. They know all their regulars and always ask everyone how they are. Go in the morning when Shirley is in the house. You’re day will definitely start on a positive note. The hoagies are delicious and made well. There’s mozzarella balls and other prepared foods. You can buy your lottery tickets here too. The bread and rolls are also good. The bread is made fresh at the store.

The best hoagies in all of Philadelphia. I am partial to the turkey Diablo. Everyone is very friendly. Very clean. Order ahead for sandwiches because it can get very crowded in there especially during lunchtime.

I have visited many other Primo Hoagie locations, while all good, the Port Richmond location is my favorite. We have now ordered party trays for my office twice. Not only was the food delivered perfectly on time, the order was put together with care including ALL of the extra sandwich decorations, but the service of the people that I spoke to when I called to place my order were courteous on the phone, helpful making suggestions, and appreciative to receive the business no matter how big or small. I have not visited the shop, but the sandwich trays have been fabulous.

When it’s my turn to order lunch for the office (for birthdays, baby showers, etc.) I always pick Primo. Not only are the sandwiches fantastic, but the prices are great and the service is unbeatable. They always deliver on time, are very flexible, and ask the right questions to make sure we have a good experience (and we always do!).

Fast delivery, great hoagies like the other locations, and they even gave us a big bag of chips with my work’s order free.

WOW! I was lucky enough to stumble on to this spot. I only wish I had a sandwich shop like this near me. I’ve never had this great of a sandwich! People were very nice, shocking for Philly. Italian hoagie awesome. Get a pickle out of the barrel and have it sliced. Great food, value, and people.

I’ve been to other Primo Hoagies but this one takes the cake on taste, quality ingredients and consistency. There isn’t a weak spot on their menu and even the macaroni salad in the refrigerator is mind-​blowing on a hot summer’s day. Best of all, there’s no such thing as a ‘pre-​prepared’ sandwich. Everything is sliced and assembled on the spot and made to order.
They do get pretty slammed before games and mid-​day on weekends, so plan accordingly.

Always. Top quality meats on their sandwiches, I’m not a fan of the sarcone type rolls, always preferred a soft roll, either or it is the best and I highly recommend them !!!

The best Primo’s around. The staff is friendly, the sandwiches are the bomb diggity and the vibe is cool. I always stop and grab a sandwich when I’m in that area.

Better and cheaper than Campo’s.

Awesome awesome hoagies. I always get the sharp Italian. They slice everything on the spot and put it together fresh for you. And the woman at the counter is pretty much the nicest person I’ve ever met. For some reason, this location just makes a better sandwich then the one in fishtown, which is much closer to me. Its worth the extra drive!
