This small practice gives you such personalized, patient-centered care. It is fairly easy to get an appointment, and I have dealt with both Dr Friter and Dr Zarro, who are both great. The staff is wonderful, and very punctual with call backs, paperwork, etc. etc. I highly recommend this podiatry group to anyone in need :)

On Saturday, I limped myself into this office. I could barely walk on my left foot and the whole area around my ankle was killing me. I was in pain for a week and unable to walk properly. So I figured at this point it would be best, if I went and had my foot and ankle checked out. Finding parking was easy. They are located in a shopping center & there is plenty of parking to choose from. Thankfully, my parking spot required minimal walking. Once I went in I signed some papers, handed them my insurance info., and they took me in right away. They took x-rays of my left foot during my visit. Which was very convenient. I couldn’t imagine having to limp to a hospital and then go back to my doctor. Then the doctor came in to give me the news. I had strained a muscle in my foot and was basically told to rest and ice my ankle. As well as take some Advil & elevate it. She ordered a brace that I still have to pick up from a medical office. A follow up appointment was scheduled in two weeks. The office staff and the doctor were remarkably friendly. They were very positive and had lots of enthusiasm. Scheduling was also very easy. I called the office on a Friday and I was able to be seen on a Saturday. I am glad I came in. I had more peace of mind leaving then limping in.

A 23-year-old really has a favorite podiatrist? You’d better believe it! In the very early summer of 2009, I thought I’d just had a nagging, achy foot as I walk a LOT, and had been wearing the requisite summer sandals. Cut to a morning summer session class at Temple U — I’m practically crawling across the subway station at Cecil B. Moore. My achy foot had suddenly turned swollen and purple, just like Violet Beauregard! Hysterical, I literally dragged my foot home to South Philly behind me while on the phone with this office. They managed to squeeze me in, even though I was a new patient. I was assigned to Dr. Luong, who could not have been sweeter or more caring! After a round of thorough x-rays, I dragged my bum foot back to my chair and received the confirmation of what Google had told me earlier — my foot had a severe stress fracture & was about to break at any second. Dr. Luong set me up with a prescription for a knee-high cam walker — better known as das boot! — and a return date. Throughout the process of many return appointments, Dr. Luong, as personable and passionate as ever, helped guide me back to foot health. It is now March 5, 2012, and I’m back in the cam walker — aka Frankenfoot — for the THIRD time(which is not this office’s fault at all — it’s my own stubbornness, clumsy nature, and foot anatomy combined). I’ve had a long track record here now, and the office and its staff just gets better each time. The receptionists are always pleasant, friendly, and accomodating. I am always seen at my scheduled time, with my longest-ever wait being an earth shattering four minutes! It is very easy to get an appointment, and all of the doctors(trust me, I’ve definitely seen my share!) are very thorough and caring, even when they are gently yelling at you to wear your damn orthotics! So if one day, you too find yourself almost crawling on the streets of Philadelphia with a horrifically painful foot ailment, or maybe you just have an ingrown nail, call them! While I can’t guarantee all of your pain will magically disappear in an instant, they will do all they possibly can to grant you a speedy recovery — even if that means ending up with a Frankenfoot!
