I love this place! I had previously been going to Salon L’Etoile, where I had gone consistently every other month for at least 6 times to the same stylist, and he never had any idea who I was. The second time I went, he said «same as last time?» to which I said yes, and he did something to my hair that was nothing I had ever had, which was really irritating. Enough about that– I came here frazzled for a place to call home. I am very particular about my hair, and I change it up frequently. I needed someone who could be on board to handle that. Platinum Hair Company totally exceeded my expectations. The first time I went, I just got an all over color. I loved the color, and it lasted beautifully for 3.5 months. Awesome! I just went for my second time with a picture of something I wanted, and the stylist executed it beautifully! I wanted something summer-​y, but without any blonde, as I don’t like it in my hair at all. She perfected the look, and I am so happy with it. This place is awesome, I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

I had a wonderful experience at this salon! I have very long, thick hair, and I currently have the ombré look. I wanted to keep the ombré, but make it more fall/​winter appropriate. My hairstylist, Candace, really did a nice job coloring my base, as well as darkening the lighter pieces, but not losing that contrast. I was very pleased. For a while now, I have wanted lots of layers in my hair. Since my hair is long and thick it has the tendency to kind of hang. Candace gave me one of the best haircuts that I’ve ever had in my life! My hair has so much bounce, and it feels so healthy, and just in general looks great. (Literally, all day I kept feeling my hair and looking in a mirror at it… I can’t remember the last time that this has happened.)

I have been coming to Platinum for over six years now to have Jackie do my cut and color and I wouldn’t dream of going anywhere else. She always takes the time with my very stubborn hair and the color always comes out great, and I’ve had everything from a short bob to long hair and always leave looking and feeling fabulous. They use excellent products, and the atmosphere of the salon is fun. I even had my wedding hair and makeup done by the Platinum girls in the comfort of my parent’s home. I wholeheartedly recommend this salon!

After trying many high priced salons in the city and after many disappointments i decided to give Platinum hair co a try. I’m glad i did, my hair looks great. My stylist Jackie took the time to listen to my ideas and nailed it. I will definitely be going back. Thank you Jackie my searching is over! !!

I really enjoy coming to this salon. The first time I got a haircut from here it was with Nichole. She did a fabulous job. The second time I went was with Lenny and he did a fantastic job as well! Both times I was here the staff was very friendly from checking in at the front desk, getting my hair washed, to then sitting in the chair. Both Nichole and Lenny listened to my request very carefully and showed a lot of interest in what I wanted & expertise when it came to the process and final product. I’ve had horrible experiences at other salons and I could not seem to pin down the salon for me — until now

I’m new to the area, and my neighbor (who has fantastic, regularly-​cut hair) highly recommended Platinum. I made an appointment with Lenny, and was not disappointed!
He gave me a great cut and style. He took his time and was very exact. I also really appreciated that he wasn’t snarky about how long it had been since I had a cut nor about my box-​dye job, though we gently discussed some in-​house coloring options. He was easy to talk with and very friendly.
The salon is classy, spacious and comfortable.
The only reason they don’t get five stars is because when I was paying, every single stylist gathered around the computer and waited for me to tip. It was mildly oppressive and creepy. Also, tips are cash only!
I will definitely be back

Love this place! It had been recommended by friend when I was looking for a hair place in the area after settling in the area after college a few years ago. Everyone is super friendly and while I do have my girl Candice who is great I wouldn’t be afraid of anyone there because I’ve seen them all do really good work. They’re reasonably priced and make you feel really comfortable. If you need your hair done go here.

Great salon! Called in last minute to get a haircut & they were able to get me in right away. Haircut was great, staff was super friendly & the cost was super affordable! Beautiful setup too! I would definitely recommend them to a friend!

Jess Marie is the stylist who cuts my hair, and she is fantastic! it’s a good atmosphere, all the girls are friendly, and it’s reasonably priced.

If you like caffine addicted shampoo girls shouting by disclosing personal information across the room within inches of your ear while being washed then try it. She was so loud and obnoxious my ears were ringing.
I left here very frazzled and stressed out. The noise of all these women talking over each other was overwhelming and other people whom moved on felt the same. It’s always busy and I guess they have their loyals in the neighborhood but if you are a new patron the atmosphere can be a bit harsh which is why I decided to move on and find another salon.
I find it common for hair salons to play up this banter but it’s unprofessional and not very productive.
If I were the owner I would discourage this obnoxious behavior but I actually think it’s encouraged. I think some customers may like this.
Shame. I think this place has potential but it needs less common neighborhood brissilly staff and they need to soften their approach.

I having been going to Nichole to get my hair cut and highlighted for over 6 years and followed her to this salon. Needless to say she is amazing and her color skills are by far, the best I have every experienced. This salon is beautiful — the décor is understated, but elegant and the staff is extremely friendly and professional. It is easy to get an appointment and the appointment always starts on time. I have not gone to any of the other stylists, but they all seem extremely nice and the women (and men) I saw leave their chairs always looked great. I have recommended this salon to friends and will continue to return (as long as Nichole is there — she is awesome!)
