This place was overpriced and is now Out of Business… currently selling costume jewelry and hats.

Unfortunately overpriced, like many other business on South Street. What looked to be pretty promising was a bit of a bummer once we went. The store itself is clean, well lit, and overall up to date. It fits in nicely with the hustle and bustle of South Street, but it ultimately ends there. They don’t have their prices listed anywhere within the store, and only some quick math after your purchase reveals your overpayment. They don’t offer any free samples, which was bizarre since they had some pretty unique flavors that I wouldn’t buy without trying first. It might have just been the night I went, but their register wasn’t working. Of course they waited until we had filled our cups, put toppings on, and walked to the counter to tell us they only accepted cash. Which turned date night into«Hey babe, would you mind getting this…» If anything else, Phileo is a great spot for people watching.

My boyfriend and I were recently craving FroYo, and decided to check out Phileo Yogurt. The decision was based proximity– only a 2 minute walk from his apartment. The seating here is a little awkward. No outside seating, two small tables pushed against the wall and a counter lining the front window. The counter is my favorite spot, as it gives you the perfect view for South Street people watching. As for the Fro Yo quality… not great. The yogurt came out pre-melted and lacked flavor. The topping bar was okay, but not the best I’ve seen. Also I would stay away from any«fresh» toppings since they looked like they had been sitting out for hours. Additionally Phileo Yogurt was way over priced, and they only accepted cash.

Walked from center city just for this fro-yo! That’s says it all right there. Great flavor selection. Fresh toppings. Couldn’t ask for more :)

I enjoyed a tasty combination of cake batter, cheesecake bites, and nilla wafers crumbles. It was refreshing and hit the spot. This place was super clean and the staff was friendly. I don’t eat ice cream often and prefer frozen yogurt. Nice spot to go on the infamous South Street.

Love their yogurt. NY cheesecake and strawberry are my favorite flavors topped with gummy bears. I have been to other yogurt places in Philly but nothing comes close to this place

I’m very surprised this place is rated as highly as it is; it’s really bad in every way that matters. I’m assuming most people giving 4 and 5 stars are young and inexperienced and don’t know what’s good. I would never go here again. I had one experience, it was more than enough. Lots of flavors, and I tried five(cups are giant — remember you’re paying by weight). Every one of them had poor consistency and really weak, bland flavor. Like they used a lousy base and tried to save money by adding the least amount of flavoring possible. Fruit toppings weren’t fresh, just gloppy and aging. Cashier wasn’t friendly, he seemed annoyed to deal with a customer, impatient as I pulled my money out, like he had better things to do than sell the product to the only person in the store buying it. Behind him stood a sour-faced older man, very intense, very creepy, observing closely, zero friendliness or hospitality. Make that guy stay home, he’s repelling. Hire pleasant, helpful people to work the register. It’s not rocket science; make customers feel a little more welcome, a little less despised. That’s my best business advice. If you’re going to sell a product like this, you create a fun, happy atmosphere. The yogurt was bad, and too expensive for what it is. The service was bad. The seating was bad.

The BEST FroYo shop I’ve ever been! I love the atmosphere and self serve is quite amazing with many different choices to choose from. There is even a table full of toppings and it’s just very delicious! I’m writing this review pretty late as I’ve visited last year, but if you’re a fan of ice cream, you’ll love this this place! My only option is that it’s quite easily to fill your cup up to the top and just go over board with everything. The pricing goes by weight, so it can become very expensive even though this place is shown as cheap(go small and it can be cheap), at times depending on how much you get, it can be $$$. Give this place a visit, you’ll most likely enjoy it!

I LOVETHISPLACE. This is the best Fro-Yo I’ve ever had. The fruit toppings are FRESH and RIPE. Unlike some yogurt places that serve unripened mango or over ripened strawberries. My boyfriend became obssesed with their Taro flavored yogurt. He also really likes the Lychee flavored one. The Mango flavored yogurt was also fantastic! I tried the Belgian Waffle flavor and while it was very sweet it; it was delicious. The employees are also very nice and helpful. Whomever, complained that they were only given one sample cup… well that’s an old review. I asked for two cups and I was given two cups. Also…if you do only get one cup then a simple fix… is to finishing whatever amount of yogurt you had in it and then trying another flavor once you’re done.

This has been my go to spot for froyo. They always got my flavors and variety of toppings to choose from. I love frozen yogurt places that are self serve. I’ve tried sweet ending froyo place but didn’t like it as much. This place never fails. Spring is here and summer is near I’ll be here often. I love that it’s not far from home.

Best selection and freshest toppings of all of the places I have been! If you like tart flavored(or sweet flavors) they have more options than anyone else. Their fruit is always fresh and they always have a great selection. I have not found another comparable self serve froyo place in philly that compares!

In a world where everywhere is a FroYo shop, this is my favorite in Philly. They always have really unique FroYo flavors, and their toppings are always fresh. I’m usually against Skittles in FroYo because they freeze up and break your teeth. That’s more of a general FroYo rule, nothing specifically about this place. Prices are fair, and there’s seating inside. It’s a great stop if you’re on South Street looking for some sweets in the summer!

Great fro– yo on S. St! This place is clean and the flavors are varied; featuring many exotic ones such as taro(my fave). The yogurt has the right balance of tart and sweet. They all are either low or non fat. Self– serve, by the pound. Nice variety of toppings although I prefer mine w/o. Kinda sucks that they are stingy w/the samples(only 1per), but I’ve liked everything I’ve tried. Also the containers are HUGE so beware. Figure on $! per squirt. Also the owners kinda watch you and patrol the joint, and you must ask for a bathroom key.

This place rocks. With 16 different frozen yogurt flavors and over 30 toppings, the combinations are endless. I went with a strawberry yogurt crammed with gummy bears, M&Ms, jimmies, and Reese’s cups. My girlfriend opted for the much healthier plain tart frozen yogurt with a combination of different fruit chunks and coconut shredding. Pricing was fair and came out to nearly 7 $ per person. On a side note, the staff seemed distant and almost annoyed by people’s testing of the intimidating yogurt selection. This, however, was a small annoyance in comparison to this delicious treat!

Decent place in South Street to grab frozen yogurt. The Taro, Plain, Strawberry, and Cookies & Cream are all good flavors. Toppings are good as well. Definitely a place to come for dessert, or just to hang out.

Best froyo in Philly. Very clean, self-service, numerous flavors, nice assortment of fruity flavors(including mango and pumpkin), and fresh fruit toppings.

Oh dearest froyo location, how you have only improved since the last time we met. Your clean, friendly layout bursting with green, white and other colors draws me in as a moth to the flame. Your myriad flavors leave me hypnotized and longing for more. Your taro and lychee flavors are the best in the land, and your cake flavors are none to reckon with either. My how your toppings bar is fresh and neat. Kiwi, mango, mochi, jimmies, cake bites, and more complete the perfect cup. Phileo, you had me at «ph-». As in the best«phroyo» in Phileoyogurtelphia. Honestly, this place is still my favorite in the city. It’s a shame it has to be on South St. and not next to my apartment.

Came here with my cousins who were visiting from out of town. The location inside is very cute. They have white chairs and tables where you can sit and relax. The froyo flavor options and toppings were plentiful. It’s a little pricey for my taste but it’s clean and fruit was fresh.

Pretty much like any other yogurt place which isn’t bad. Funny story: The people are friendly but one day, my friends and I were eating inside when this PPA came in. He got a cup, got his yogurt, and was putting toppings on it. After putting stuff in his cup, he used his hands, and not the clips, to pick up a strawberry or something and ate it. The worker yelled at him and they both started arguing and the PPA walked out and said«don’t park your car outside.» Yup.
