My first time here… and we put 48 credits in the jukebox. I bought Michael kors sunglasses from Sneaker Pete’s trunk for $ 20. Also I made friends in the bathroom that has no stall doors. Life =made

Greatest Bar ever. Larry, Joe and the staff are A+. Local S Philly food at reasonable prices. It was the best long before Chickie & Pete’s ever came along. I can walk in after not being there for a long while and my name will be shouted as soon as I enter.

Great food. Good atmosphere. Occasional grizzled men tote chainsaws, but still a good place to grab a cold one after work with buds.

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good food. Will be back! I had your typical wings and beer and was great. Went with the guys to watch the game. We were even a little distracted by sone of the women coming into this place. We will definitely be returning with my wingman to see if I have any luck!

Positive: (1) Good old school bar (2) Very friendly staff who greets you with a firm handshake (3) Speedy service (4) Garlic bread was awesome — has actual cloves of garlic on it (5) Portions were huge! Negative: (1) Roast beef could use a little seasoning — it was bland (2) In this day and age of dietary restrictions and allergies, be specific on what was a dish includes on the menu. My issue was as simple as seeds on the roll. I can’t have anything with seeds on it — on the menu is does not disclose«seeded roll» That is unusual, and if that’s what you want to use, that’s fine — but disclose it, so I can order accordingly. (3) A $ 2.00 upcharge for«Sharp Provolone»? Really? That’s a little heavy handed.

Have to say i really enjoyed this place. The staff made me feel really welcome here. Baseball tour Phills vs Red Sox game. I recieved down south hospitality to see how Philly backs the Phillies with pics all around My first time here i received a staple a soft pretzel which was amazing and to top it off the Philly cheese steak was awesome. Texans dont do the pretzel thing.

Saw the fairly good reviews on Unilocal so we gave it a try before the flyers game. Place was dumpy with stuff like duck tape holding up vents etc. service was horrible and food was just ok at best. We will wait in line and pay a few more bucks for the other places next time. Disappointed with those who gave ThIs place a 5 as they helped fake us out.

Great neighborhood spot to grab some food and drinks before, during, and after a game. Ice cold beer, friendly service… Make sure to ask for the Friday special.

Born and raised in the ‘burbs, but I still consider myself a legit«Phull ‘lelphian» when it comes to our food heritage, and I bear the suburban girl’s milder take on the sassy attytood, and the embarrassing accent, so that’s who I think I am. So don’t try to tell me I don’t know Wiz when I see it. My point? Call it blasphemy but I HATE Wiz and always get my cheesesteaks with American. Philadium filled my order as placed the first few times we went. Ate in and had a good time with a lower key atmosphere on week nights. Then, we used a Groupon local deal and were really happy they let us do it with takeout because my husband works right near them, and it made dinner really easy, and tasted awesome. Decided to do more of the Groupons because they kept offering them… Then? Then they gave me Wiz instead of American. Mistake? Apparently not, because after the first bad order they did it again. My husband called the second time and they tried to claim it was orange American… uh, that was REALLY melty… Yeah, right. C’mon, guys, NO. I know my Wiz, I grew up on it. And now I hate it. Believe me, I know what Wiz is. Why not just apologize and fix it? Why lose customers? So sorry to not be able to join the crowd and give a 5 on this one, but I was insulted they tried to pass Wiz off like that, and think I wouldn’t tell. How much more $ is a couple slices of American? Why not just please the customer? Were they trying to get rid of us? The place was GREAT before that. I would have given 5 stars if not for those two bad orders and the rude attitude that we got when we called. We haven’t been in since.

The perfect local bar. Aside from it being the sports bar of all sports bars, it is cozy, relaxed and a terrific place to get a sandwich. Roast pork with sharp provolone, chips, and an ice cold beer — perfect. Pretenders go across the street to that other place. Real Philly fans, and those who just dig a cool bar go to the Philadium.

This is an all around solid local bar. The bartenders are mainly older guys who know their sports. Ultimately, this is not a spot to come hang out if you’re looking for a club atmosphere. It’s quite the opposite. No frills– but very authentic. You catch a lot of industry people coming to grab drinks after work also. As far as the food goes– it’s all decent and greasy. Just the way bar food should be. The roast beef and pork sandwiches are pretty good, as are the cheesesteaks. Worth a try if you’re looking to hang out somewhere near the stadium to actually talk sports and not over pay for crinkle cut fries sporadically covered with old bay seasoning.

Highly recommended — much cheaper than the ballpark/Chickie’s when it comes to food and drink. Limited parking — usually you’ll be able to find a spot on Packer Ave, but I imagine it’s harder on Sunday afternoons when the Eagles are playing. Great place to go to before a sporting event in South Philly(Phillies, Eagles especially). Dad brings me here usually before games — his three friends(all in their 50’s) have been going here before every Phillies opening day for the past 20 years. More chill atmosphere than Chickie’s and Pete’s which is right across the street on Packer Ave. However, I went here for a Phillies NLCS game two years ago, and it was as packed and rowdy as they come. Pretty small inside — maybe about 10 tables or so. Because it is small, it’s not hard to see the TV’s(flatscreens all over the place). Suprisingly solid cheesesteak too.

Very cool local bar that is a nice alternative to Chickie’s if you’re way down South Philly. Nice menu and prices, plenty of TV’s and juke box. I prefer to come here if I’m going to a game and have a lot of time to kill.

This is the place to go for some pre-game action before you head to the Phillies or Flyers game… but if you don’t have tickets stick around and watch it here. A dive bar at it’s very best. Maybe a bit of an «old man» bar but everyone is super friendly and you will be utterly amazed at how tasty the food is. I recommend the Turkey Club, I often share with my boyfriend and it’s plenty. Tom is the bartender you want to have but they’re all awesome. This is the epitome of «Souff Philly» to me.
