Best place in the area to grab a case of beer. Large selection at fair prices. Parking lot on site makes things easy. Also my go-to spot for ice when I need it.

Best beer distributor this side of Frankford and/or Girard. Decent selection of large domestics and crafts alike. They sell ice at a decent price. And last time I was in, they had prices listed on all of the craft beer! If they don’t they’ll give you the list to walk around with.

i used to go here when it first opened. the owner was fantastic! the new crew… not so much. They seem indifferent. decent selection, but i recently called about sam adams boston«ale», and they never heard of it. ok, I HAVE! so they should have as well. you always get the feeling you are bothering them. probably wont go back.

They always close earlier than their posted hours. Kind of pricey. Great selection.

As a formerly lifelong Massachusetts resident, I’m still adjusting to the PA distributor ways. This location makes it easier, a mere handful of blocks from my place with plentiful parking. I can’t say their selection is massive aside from the usual snake piss offensively masquerading as beer, but they have enough good stuff to hold my interest. Firstly, Phila Beer had a case of Cisco Brewery’s Pumple Drumkin… for $ 40! Now, finding Cisco is hard enough and when I do, it’s their Whale’s Tale, Grey Lady, or other pale ale or lambic. Secondly, I find Warsteiner Dunkel for $ 27. That’s killer. Holy poop. Franziskaner as well? Yes, please! Pilsner Urquell, Guinness, Allagash, Dundee Honey Brown for $ 18, the usual Philly players PBC and Yards… I’ll be returning. They do however need to tone down their plentiful stock of snake piss because, you know, it’s not like you can’t get that shit anywhere. Also, closing at 8:00 or 9:00 sucks but I can only fault PA laws, not the establishment itself. Snacks are important. There are some mainstream types: kit kat, snickers… eh. Better than nothing I suppose. I can’t say the staff is overly friendly but they get the job done. I’d normally give Phila Beer 3.5 if I could but Cisco and Warsteiner Dunkel for $ 27 bumps them up to 4.

This is my go-to spot(in Fishtown) for cases. There hasn’t been an instance yet where I’ve gone in and NOT found what I was looking for – they’re always pretty well-stocked. They carry a ton of local stuff, plus everyone’s good ol’ favorites such as MGD and Natty Ice. This place makes it possible to stock up for a wannabe frat party as well as a swanky-beer-with-fancy-friends housewarming shindig. Whatever. I’ve yet to take advantage of the fact that they sell Boone’s Farm. If only they sold Zima – yes, I’m deducting a star for this but no, not really – I’d be so ready to throw a let’s-pretend-we’re-fifteen-again party. Who’s in? They also sell chips and beef jerky which is nice in a pinch because, honestly, what goes better with beer?(Limes, perhaps? They sell ‘em here, too.) Bonus points: A parking lot! Fishtown University(as if!) t-shirts for sale behind the checkout counter! Cashiers who aren’t as rough-and-tumble as other places in F-town! I like all of that.
