Pearls Pleasurable Eatery

Fried fish is amazing! Even the salad is good. Customer service and owner are great! There’s also a new school jukebox to play tunes and big screen tv for games. A must-​try hole in the wall

Didn’t live up to the IG hype. My bf had the salmon cheese steak. I had the jerk wings with Mac and collards. The cheese steak was drenched in some weird curry looking sauce included salmon, shrimp, onions and peppers. The bread began to fall apart because there was so much sauce and it overpowered the flavor if the salmon and shrimp. Let’s just say his stomach still isn’t right 2 weeks later.
The jerk wings were just average baked wings with light jerk seasoning, collards could of been cut up more rather than eating a whole leaf, and the Mac was just average… Nothing to brag about. The only thing I enjoyed was the vegetable fried rice, and would’ve been better if I didn’t see the owner use a Shoprite brand bag of mixed veggies to make it. The spice made it better.
We wont be going back again.

Guys this place is one to discuss. Their food is beyond amazing. By far some of the most flavorful Caribbean and soul food around. I have tried mostly everything they have to offer, including salmon cheese steak (fresh salmon diced on a long roll with chunks of shrimp). With that being said, the bad part is the restaurant is not the most well kept space. Though it’s clean its cluttered. Old looking furniture, limited seating, no true ambiance. I always take my food to go.

Lil’ hole in the wall joint in Olney. By far the best Caribbean food I’ve tasted in Philly. The interior of the store can be off putting but don’t let that deter you from picking up some delicious food. Everything is seasoned to perfection. The rice&peas are moist and flavorful and the all the meats are impeccable. Other jerk chickens I’ve tried are either under cooked or not seasoned well but at Pearl’s it’s top notch.
