Sorry to burst everyone’s bubble but the Olive Oil & Herb sauce is DIS_GUST_ING. I went here today with my 6 year old(who wisely got a saladworks salad instead). The fettucine I ordered with Olive oil & Herbs with shrimp — sounded good in theory(and believe me, I asked for light on the oil) but it was swimming in grease(low quality Olive Oil), DRIED herbs that were still dessicated and crunchy(eew) and frozen baby shrimp(The same cheap kind used at Saladworks). I do not recommend the Olive Oil and(dry, icky) herb sauce, but I will try them ONE more time — and get a red(marinara or meat) sauce. The cop behind us in the line ordered Penne with Meatsauce — maybe that was a better choice? The pasta itself was fine — perfectly cooked, actually — and flaming hot. They also did not include any parmesan to top my pasta with — and I forgot to ask for some, so I guess that was my bad. At that point I just did not feel like going back. Oh — and I wanted to buy a bottle of water but they were all out — so I asked for a glass of tap water and the girl said, «We don’t have any cups», so I went to Dunkin Donuts for a rip-off bottle of Aqua Fina. Quel Dommage. I love pasta — and I really wanted to love it here. But I just don’t. And I really, really love pasta.

I discovered Pasta Fiesta on (also listed on Campusfood) because I was craving Italian at work, but the weather was too crappy to walk anywhere. I’ve ordered twice now, and I’ve got to say, it isn’t too bad. Sure, I can find better Italian food almost anywhere in the city. I can probably cook some things better too. But, this is affordable, edible Italian delivery, and I’ll take it. My first attempt was not very successful. I ordered the regular size pasta: Gnocchi with Spicy Marinara, Spinach & Shrimp w/garlic bread. What was right– The food was delivered in chinese take out fashion, ie white cardboard container with a baggie of bread instead of an eggroll. The portion size was great, I could eat lunch and still have enough for a leftover lunch/dinner the next day. The shrimp were the lil can kind, but they were plentiful so I couldn’t complain. What was wrong– the Spicy Marinara is pretty much just their marinara sauce with enough hot pepper added to sear my taste buds and leave little taste. The gnocchi were good enough, except the closer to the bottom of the container I got, the less defined they were and the more they resembled a pasta blob. On my second attempt, I ordered the regular pasta: Gnocchi with Marinara, Chicken and Mushrooms w/garlic bread. This time, it worked. The sauce is okay, if a little sugary for my personal taste. The gnocchi were okay(still blobbed at the bottom, nonetheless edible). The chicken was cut into small portions which made it feel like the Italian version of chicken fried rice. All in all, I’d say if you want quick cheap Italian food brought to your office or door, this place is passable.
