Park Salad Bar

Had a pick-​your-​own-​items priced-​by-​the-​pound breakfast here very early in the morning. They serve so many good things so I piled it up and it became a bit pricey, but everything was delicious.

Park salad bar is what it is. It’s a great place to go to lunch and there will be something for pretty much anyone. There’s a lot of healthy options and there’s a lot of unhealthy options. It’s simple and it’s consistent. I like Park salad bar because I go in knowing what to expect and always walk out satisfied.

Very nice staff. I like the lunch here because there are so many options! They have salmon, pepper steak, lo mein, General Tso’s chicken, stuffed grape leaves, and more. It’s a really good deal considering the variety and freshness of the food, and the fact that you get to customize your lunch. Great lunch option!

My boss was stoked when this placed opened back up after renovations… We’ve had it several times in the last few weeks.
The 30% off «re-​opening» special was a really good deal.
Park has a nice selection of Chinese and American cuisine. The actual salad bar is really fresh. As long as you get here before 1pm, there’s quite a variety — any time after this they start removing pans and the selection is much more scant and sparse.
Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be able to go here anymore as the last several times there have been hair in my food which honestly makes me want to puke just thinking about it. The first time I convinced myself it was one of my own hairs… Then the next time I convinced myself it was a cat hair. I can’t do it anymore.

Let me say — I was so happy to see they reopened! I frequented this spot at least 1x/​week because of the choices they had available. In Center City at lunch, you are always looking for quick options. Park Salad Bar delivers in that category. The renovations have provided a brighter space and more seating in the back. The salad bar is large with regular buffet choices of hot, cold options.
I recommend park to all those who are in the area — nice and fresh food and friendly staff.

This place has reopened as Park Café. As of 12−1−14 they are offering 30% discount to celebrate their «Grand Reopening». I didn’t go to the old place, but from what I see in the reviews, the format has stayed the same with a Salad Bar and a Chinese Buffet bar.
This is a nice little place. It appears to be freshly renovated and is very clean.
The food was great. I got the typical buffet items– General Tso, Lo Mein, Pepper Steak etc… and it tasted much fresher and better than the majority of the buffets I go to. The price was great as well– I got a full carton of Chinese food and a large soda for $ 8.20. (Granted its temporarily discounted).
But this is a great place to get something quick (serve yourself), tasty, and healthy for lunch in Center City.

Also, probably the most consistently fresh salad bar I have ever been to. With real salad, not just iceberg and canned veggies. A lot of variety, so there is something for everyone.

This place gets 5 stars from me because every single time I go there, everything is clean, fresh, and delicious. I can always count on them to have a steady flow of fresh fruit and veggies, the lettuce is always crisp and doesn’t look like they try to stretch it out (you know what I mean, when the lettuce is browning).
They also have a full Chinese hot bar if you’re interested. The weight prices aren’t bad if you know how to restrain yourself and only get what you’ll actually eat. I always spend less here than I do at other pay-​by-​weight places.
There’s a little area you can sit in in the back and there’s a cooler of free water if you don’t care where your water comes from. They also have a wide variety of drinks (like all-​natural ginger ales and teas) along with your standard beverages.
It really is great!

Food can be pricey depending on what you pile on but the owners take care to offer fresh and a variety of food. I wonder if HGTV can come and spruce up this tasty but tacky restaurant ;)

Great spot to grab a quick and inexpensive lunch. I love the variety that Park’s offers (salads, pastas, turkey, mashed potatos, chinese food and soup). There are constantly employees out cleaning the buffet area or changing out the food so you know that it is fresh. I enjoy sitting in the rear dining area and reading to get away from my office for a bit.

I was trying to figure out why everything is so gigantic here: The pepper rings were more like pepper halves and the mushrooms weren’t those paper-​thin sliced ones but, like, actual mushrooms. When it was time for the dreaded weigh-​in, I had piled on $ 12 worth of just veggies. Clearly I was caught up in the frenzy of being able to use tongs. But everything was very fresh, and they were still bulking up choices even at 2pm. The rear dining room is perfect if you’re lunching solo and want to talk on the phone. Or eavesdrop: I actually heard a woman at the next table loudly give out her phone number, email address AND called someone «about the divorce.» Hopefully, not hers.

Great buffet to go get lunch cheap. It’s not just salad, they have Chinese food selections too. I like their dolmas, which were surprisingly decent considering the many Asian dishes.

Usually I am completely turned off by the thought of «food bars.» Typically I see food that has been sitting out under heat lamps for hours and the sauces are beginning to congeal. This is not the case at Park’s. The food is fresh and it seems to be rotated frequently. The selection is very large consisting of salads, Chinese, and even seafood.
I must admit, I was happily surprised with the food at Park’s.
