I was excited to check this place out for a card I needed in a pinch, but I came by at 6:20 and it was closed with no note or anything.

This store is filed with cute cards, trinkets, quick gifts, and housewares. They have the perfect cars to brighten someone’s day. My favorite part of this store is that it’s laid out so you’ll all always have something to look at. The owner is really nice, and you can tell he really loves what he does. The greatest part is he opens up earlier than most shops off south street. A great place to kill time and spend a few bucks.

The store looks super cute and has unique cards which is why I decided to check it out two separate times to look for unique wedding cards. Both times I was completely ignored by the man behind the counter. Both times I was the only one in the store. One time he was watching tv and another he was just staring at his phone. The killer is the second time he actually looked up at me and just looked back at his phone! I couldn’t believe it. I did need help but I decided to leave instead because I didn’t want to bother him.

I love this store! It’s very a small boutique that has something for everyone and feels like you’re visiting a neighbor. The greeting cards are unique and far from anything you’ll find in hallmark. You can find demure, beautiful, or fun, whimsical and campy but it’s all great quality. The staff is friendly and very helpful.

If a convenience store, newsstand, and bookstore had a threesome one-night stand, its lovechild would be Paper Moon. The minute you walk in, the first thing that catches your eye is the selection of cards, but upon walking further back into the store, you take note of the books; though on the adjacent wall you may find a fridge full of cold sodas or a shelf of Pop Chips! I wouldn’t say Paper Moon is a landmark establishment for those visiting Philly for the first time; however, if you’re in the area and are in need of a greeting card, now that Beyond the Wall is gone, consider this place.
