Good breakfast, decent price… except for some reason breakfast meat isn’t included in their breakfast sandwiches and they add an extra $ 4 for bacon on the sandwich. That’s more than the sandwich itself– $ 3.50 for a bagel sandwich, $ 4 for 3 pieces of bacon… Ridiculous. Update: I received my food, the breakfast sandwich was for myself, a bagel with extra cream cheese for a co-worker — the extra cream cheese also cost more than the original menu item. $ 2.50 for a bagel and cream cheese, an EXTRA $ 2.75JUST for cream cheese. From what I saw, it barely looked like there was any cream cheese on there, let alone extra. They also got mozzarella sticks, but instead of receiving said mozzarella sticks they received 3 sticks and an order of soggy crappy fries. We discussed, and I agreed, had they called and mentioned they didn’t have enough mozzarella sticks, we would have just cancelled the order. It ended up costing $ 20 for a bagel, a breakfast sandwich and 3 mozzarella sticks. Delivery also took over an hour for those 3 little things. Don’t bother, waste of money.

Walk in all hang around bums. Foods decent for a corner store. Sit down at around table with strangers. I want to sit with who I’m with not strangers !

Born and raised in south phila, i have been you can say every where there is to eat my favorite meal of the day, breakfast! Finding the perfect bacon eggs and cheese on a round roll sounds simple right? well i thought so too! everywhere i go Fat Joes, Tony’s, the diners, nothing compares to Oregon Express, the only place who still scrambles their eggs on a bacon egg and cheese sandwhich. Everytime I spot in before work to pick up my sandwhich i pray that they havent changed anything like most places do as the years go by, and i am always delighted becuase its always the same most delicious breakfast sandwhich. go oregon express!!!

My husband I first came to Oregon Express in 1999 while in town for the Atlantic 10 basketball tournament. We can’t even remember how we first came across this little hole in the wall breakfast/lunch joint. Each year when we come to town for a basketball game, Mike the owner remembers us as «Dayton.» Always asks if we’re playing St. Joe’s, Villanova, etc. This is where the Philly locals come for good coffee and conversation. On this trip, it was a debate over which is the better banana: Chiquita or Dole. One of the guys there unloads Chiquita bananas for work, so he put in his two cents and then some. There are only 4 tables. Most folks get their food to go. But for someone from Ohio who just likes to people-watch and listen, this place is the bomb! But it gets better – best cup of coffee, to my taste, in the world. 16 oz – $ 1.25. We always go for breakfast. As a couple – 2 cups of coffee, an omelet and toast for my husband, a bacon, eggs, toast platter for me. Grand total – $ 11.50! It is such good food, on our last trip, we spent $ 18 in taxi fare to get our meal and our people-watching fix(we figured out public transportation for the way back for under $ 5). It’s not a trip to Philly for us without a stop at Oregon Express.
