I was looking at a couple of «to go menus» from several places. Decided to see if there was a review for Old Country Pizza. Surely enough, there was one by Kelly S. It’s Sunday afternoon and I’m too lazy to make lunch. After some time deciding on what to order for lunch and where to order from, I settled for Old Country Pizza. The prices are good. Delivery charge is $ 1.50(if I calculated correctly). The person that took my order was nice and got my order right! I ordered a Large Meat Lover Pizza(with pepperoni, sausage and ground beef) on thin crust and Old Country Special Steak. The delivery arrived about 45 to 50 minutes later. I opened the pizza box, the pizza looks good and in terms of toppings from most to least(ground beef, pepperoni and sausage). The most to least has no bearing on my rating. Nonetheless, the pizza was pretty good. The Old Country Special Steak, it is a big sandwich. As of the writing of this review, I am having the first half. As Kelly S stated, the meat is chopped finely and piled on the roll and they also toasted the roll. Steak was good and a safe bet here. I am full from two slices from the large pizza and half of the steak. The leftovers will be for dinner! My delivery did come with a «to go menu» taped to the top of the pizza box. This adds to my collection of menu. I will certainly order from Old Country Pizza again in the future(2027?, that was the year Cameron Phillips was sent back from in Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles)! LOL I will have to concur with Kelly S, Old Country Pizza is «good stuff».

I love this place. This is my absolute favorite place to get a cheese steak in my neighborhood. First, the owners are Greek and are very, very nice. The store itself is nothing fancy — a counter, cold cases, tv, and chairs to wait for your order. That’s all you need, really. The prices are good. The pizza is pretty good, as are their hoagies, salads, sides, etc., but, like I said, this is mainly my go-to place for cheese steaks. Now, they’re a different style than South Philly. The meat is chopped finely and piled on the roll in a huge mound of meaty goodness. They also toast the rolls, which I love in a Northeast steak and not so much in a South Philly steak. It has something to do with the rolls used, I guess. Anyway, I like to get a steak with either mozzarella or provolone and a little bit of sauce, maybe mushrooms if I’m in the mood. Again, with a South Philly steak, I like only cheese and cherry peppers on my meat. But with an Old Country steak, the toasted roll, cheese, and sauce are heaven. It’s also such a big sandwich that I can’t eat it all in one sitting. I’m sure a guy can polish the whole one off at once, but I eat half and keep the other half for lunch or dinner the next day. How cheap is that — two meals for the price of one? Good stuff, so check it out if you’re in the neighborhood.
