I came here to get highlights from Henry, and the subtle, pretty highlights were finely weaved. They’re natural, like I sat out in the sun and they look blended but with a little contrast.
Henry is sweet, friendly and I felt very comfortable going to him, he is very relaxed and funny! He’s a kind person and a pleasure to be around.
I think Oggi is a bit too expensive, and their pricing is a la carte. They do have a great location, right off of Rittenhouse Square!

Rae is awesome at explaining what she’s doing, why she’s doing it, and what she recommends for healthy, vibrant color. And Cathy has never given me a cut I didn’t love. They both listen to what I want, tell me how to achieve it and are honest. I have been going to them both for 3 years now. They are the only stylists I have been loyal to, other than my best friend, because I trust them with my locks!

Highly recommend Oggi Salon. I’ve been going to Oggi for 10 years. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Love the products, love the service and love my hair when they finish with it.

This salon employees front desk employees who appear to have never learned any customer service skills. After going to this salon periodically for a few years I was extremely disappointed with my most recent experience. In fact, the front desk employees were so rude, I won’t go back. Ever. They practically refused to be helpful (not sure if they know the definition). When I went to place the tip on the credit card, they told me only cash, and rudely informed me that if I’ve been here before, that I should already know that. First of all, how about some manners? And secondly, how am I supposed to remember that kind of fact when I’m only there 1 — 2x a year? Who doesn’t take a tip? Especially because I had so little cash on-​hand. And if that fact is so important, then why not remind customers when doing appt confirmations? If that is how they want to treat ‘customers’, then I’ll take my business and money elsewhere.

Made my facial today with Yelena. I’m impressed — Yelena is a high class professional. I found my face goddess in Philadelphia.

OMG. I got my hair cut here and I swear I walked out looking like I was wearing a mushroom on my head. I was so embarassed walking out of there. I walked with my head down because i didn’t want to run into anyone I knew and I immediately went to a drug store to buy bobby pins and headbands to try to tame this hideous mushroom of a haircut. I walked in looking cute and walked out looking like a turd

This place the absolute BEST place to get your hair done. I have tired a lot of high end salons all over the country– and this place is top notch.
You want to get your hair colored from Rae, Oggi’s hair colorist. The only thing she does at Oggi is color, so she really knows what she is doing. She does a beautiful job. She is also really great with blondes (which can be tricky). Rae is really sweet and pleasant to talk.
For your blow out and cut I highly recommend Kathy. She is really passionate about cutting and styling hair, and wants the best for you. She does a fabulous job and she is fun to talk to while she does your hair.
You really can’t go wrong at this place, but I highly recommend these two! I live in California and I come here to get my hair done.

Joanne, the manager, picked up the phone when I called to schedule an appointment since my friend got me a gift card for Oggi, and she started yelling at me because I wanted a massage and she was not telling me that apparently they don’t offer them anymore. She yelled at me on the phone for no reason when no where on their website they say they no longer offer massages. I will never go here and no one should. When you pay top $$ to get such services, the least you expect is some crazy woman picking up the phone and yelling at you.

I felt so comfortable at Oggi from the second I walked in the door! Since I moved into the city last year I have been getting my hair cut by Cathy and my color done by Rey. I have never left the salon unsatisfied and I have gotten SO MANY COMPLIMENTS!!! I def rate this salon #1!

First time at oggi. This was for a body wave perm. (yes, a perm) The goal was beach waves not poodle perm. My hair is naturally semi wavy, this perm was to boost the natural wave and give my hair more oomph.
Chris was spectacular, great to talk with and a perfectionist, which I appreciated as he was careful to get every hair and make sure the wave set. He cut my hair afterwards to help it fit the shape of the waves.
I’m happy with the results, it looks natural and frizz free. I’ll be back :)
*four stars only because it took a bit longer than expected, however that wasn’t a real biggie.

Outstanding experience at Oggi last week. Chris Harrison is a true perfectionist– (something to avoid in a spouse, but the best quality in someone who colors your hair.) My highlight looked great– really natural– and I loved it. But he saw a tiny little section he wasn’t happy with, and took the time to make it exactly right. I didn’t even notice it, but he wouldn’t let me leave until it was perfect. Who does that these days? Won’t go to anyone else.

Yelena at Oggi does the best facials AND the best eyebrows. Love her!

The two stylists I had were very friendly, yet inexperienced and rather amateurish. The location and price did not reflect the quality. If you have high standards and are used to high quality salons, you may be disappointed.

I made an appointment with Cynthia at Oggi after reading all of her reviews on Unilocal!I’ve been going to the same sylist and colorist for the past 10 years, so I was VERY nervous about trying something new (I’m psycho when it comes to my hair), but Cynthia lived up to all of the hype! She was extremely friendly and professional. I had very long hair and had been thinking about chopping it off for a while. Cynthia discussed with me what she thought would look good with my face shape and gave me some suggestions. She also brought out color samples for me to view before deciding on a color. I actually brought in a picutre of what wanted, and never showed it to her because she seemed so confident in her approach to cutting my hair. When she was finished and I looked in the mirror, it looked EXACTLY like the picture that I had brought in! She was able to recrate what I wanted based solely on our converastion. Overall, I am so happy with the outcome! My hair looks great and I’ve been getting so many compliments!
The entire staff at Oggi was so nice, from the front desk staff to all of the assistants. It was definately a nice change of pace to some of the other salons that I’ve been to. I’ll definitely be back!!!

Just got my hair cut at this salon with the best stylist… ever. Her name is Cathy with a C. The salon is very clean and organized. Cathy was oh so pleasant and oh so talented… along with being such a sweetie. Prices are very reasonable and they sell hair and make-​up, too.
Must try this salon.

First time there, thought the reviews were good and I would have a good experience. I was very clear with the stylist that I only wanted a trim and even elaborated at how so many stylists cut an inch or more off when all I want is a trim, but as with most places and past experiences, stylists don’t listen to what you want, they do what they want.
The stylist added layers (which had taken me months to grow out) and cut it much shorter than I wanted or instructed, and I hate the cut. He asked if he could add a little layering in the back which I said, ‘OK’, but when I saw him cutting 2″ off my hair I panicked and asked, «what are you doing? you are cutting a lot off!» His reply was he wasn’t changing the length just adding the layering. This is not what I had in mind! My bad for agreeing to the «little» layering as it’s all chopped up now.
What I did get was a bunch of funky layering that now frizzes out in the rain. I had zero desire to have this style. I am very disappointed and now almost cry when I see my hair. Why can’t stylists do what customers want??? All I wanted was a trim! Now it’s going to take me 4 months get to where I was before this latest disappointment.
Furthermore, before the cut I discussed with the stylist that I wanted to do a Keratin treatment, which he thought was a good idea (I have fine hair that gets wavy in humidity) so, again I ask, why did he give me layers? Having straightened hair with layers just doesn’t seem right, does it?
I don’t know why it’s so hard to find a good stylist in the city who can cut fine hair and just give a trim when you ask for a trim. If anyone can recommend someone please let me know.
Disappointed once again in Philly.
P. S. It’s humid tonight and I just got home. My hair looks like Marie Osmond. .. . I have wings, I can fly.

I’ve been coming to Oggi since I moved to Philadelphia on the advice of a friend whose hair always looked amazing. I heeded her advice and although I was not able to book her stylist (Noreen) I was able to grab an appointment the following week. I have been to three different Oggi stylists over the my years in Philadelphia and every experience has been awesome. The salon uses high quality color lines and great products which I’ve found is not always the case with other salons in the area.
My current stylist, Cathy, is phenomenal — she takes her time and honestly cares about her clients, their wishes and making them happy. She takes pride in her work and let me tell you, it shows. My sister now goes to Cathy and she has become her biggest fan as well — I would give more stars if Unilocal allowed it because of Cathy and her work ethic, energy and desire to make you look beautiful. She understands hair and what will/won’t work on your hair/​face type. I always listen to her and I’ve never regretted that decision either.
I always get compliments on my hair cut and color, and though I change it up periodically (recently went brunette) the results remain the same. Sad to recommend Cathy because I enjoy making same week appointments, but honestly if you need a great stylist and awesome salon, pick Cathy at Oggi — she’ll make your hair look amazing!

I have been searching for the right salon in Philadelphia for three years now. Oggi is the last stop!
Getting appointments is pretty painless and they have a good variety of days/​hours that they are open for those of us who have crazy and ever-​evolving work schedule. Ladies at front desk are very sweet. The inside of the salon is beautiful. Because it’s in an old house, it can feel like a maze. So many different levels.
I see Noreen here and she does a spectacular job and I highly recommend her. She gave me the best haircut I’ve had in three years and for a totally reasonable price.
This place is so awesome that ¼ of the women in my office all get their hair done here by Noreen now. We all look fly. Go here.

I cannot give enough compliments to Cynthia!
Once again I am super lazy with my hair and this is one of the areas where I know little to nothing. Cynthia was patient and discussed what I was looking for until we both agree on color and how much. Literally, I came in just going «I want purple hair!» and after establishing whether or not it was going to be all or highlights we chatted about color tones and then she worked her magic mixing an awesome color that made me grin from ear to ear! It is purple but not so cartoon-​y that I would have issues at work. I have gotten nothing but compliments even from random strangers on the street! She has a great sense of humor and will make you comfortable in seconds. I really cannot recommend her enough.
