I saw the service would at a local farmers market; I went to the market specifically to have my knives sharpened. I brought a few knives to the table and the assistant(nice guy, seemed like he knew what he was talking about) said the cost would be $ 30, I countered with $ 25. The assistant said no, the price is the price. Fair enough. I was going to agree to have them all done at the $ 30 price. Then a little man came around yelling at his assistant that it is insulting to haggle on price, and demanded the assistant not do the work. If his policy is not to haggle, that’s fine, but he came at me in a very hostile way. He then yelled at me at about how out of line I was; it almost seemed that he wanted to have a fist fight. I left his booth, and when he saw me buying things from other vendors, he came after me again. I at that point I thought I would need to call the police. The service may do a good job sharpening knives– I didn’t get to find out, but as far as treating customers with respect and dignity– forget it!

Had 4 kitchen knives sharpened today at his chestnut hill farmers market location. The good is you get it done immediately. The bad is they only sharpen one side’s edge. Go elsewhere
