I would love to review the food… IF IT EVER CAME!!! 2 hour wait and then I called to cancel since I had to leave for work. The guy on the phone said he would call his driver and then call me back right away. No call back. I even called the restarant again and they never picked up. Called on a friends phone and they answered, when I said it was me, they hung up on me. I called GrubHub to cancel my order for me since the restaurant was being rude and childish, and GrubHub gave me no problem. Another half an hour later I get a call from the delivery driver saying «Sorry for the wait, food will be there in 15 minutes.» At this point I already left for work and said that I canceled my order since it was taking way too long, and the delivery driver rudely said «whatever» and hung up on me. Unless you enjoy being treated this way and waiting forever for your food, I highly advise anyone to never order from here ever. Good Day Ms. Esthers! 0 stars if I could have rated that!

Ok final update, probably. The dude on the phone two weeks ago lied when he said he would refund my $ 15. After following up today, the girl who answered the phone (the nice one) gave me the helpful information that the guy withheld two weeks ago, which is that I have to go to grub hub for my refund. So ok. I’ll do that now. In short, Ms. Esther’s Breakfast is HORRIBLE. They don’t fill your order and then lie to you, hang up on you, lie to you again, and waste your time, in that order. Don’t ever order from this terrible place. If I could give them zero stars, I would.

Decent. I ordered on grubhub. From order to delivery took about an hour. Typical. Good time. Food was not piping hot but was still warm. The grits were good and thick. Everything was good.
Only negative: they forgot the sugar for my coffee.
Delivery guy was polite. Couldn’t find my house so he called. I’ll order again.

I live literally down the street from this place and would have walked to get my food if my 5 month old wasn’t home w/​me and sick. I ordered my food around 11:20am. At 1:00pm, my food still hadn’t arrived. I call to ask where my order is and the guy says the driver left 10 – 15 minutes ago. They could have came and went back 12 times in that time from my house. Never ordering from them again.

Ya know, I have heard from friends that this place is pretty good, so I went on grub hub, made my order at 9 this morning. Finding it hard to believe that this company after two phone calls couldn’t get my food here by 11:30 when I live a little over a block away. Gave and went to rose petal instead.
If you’re gunna be late, that fine, just call so I am not waiting around for you all morning long. This is ridiculous.

Never Got My Food
So I order my food a little bit before 9am they had exactly what I wanted, so I ordered. 930am goes by I say okay it’s rush hour for breakfast so ok. 10am goes by, stomach starts growling, 1030am rolls around okay I need to call! The lady can’t get in touch with the driver she tells me it’s out for delivery. Almost 11am I call back its been two hours y’all can keep that soggy cold BS. 2 hours for breakfast yeah okay –_–

The only thing better than having breakfast delivered is having a banging breakfast delivered!

If I could give zero stars believe me I would. This place is awful and the service is dismal. Breakfast turned into lunch which turned into nothing because after waiting 2 hours and 30 minutes I called to cancel. I can’t even review the food because it never came, but the service was enough to make me tell anyone thinking of eating here to steer clear of this place. They get mad that you cancel after waiting over two hours. The man who owns this place has a nasty attitude and no service skills.

I also can not post a review since my food never came. Ordered (11:45) via Eat24 with a guaranteed time for 1:23. At 1:30, I became concerned (based on other reviews) and called the restaurant directly and the voice on the other end asks my name and my address. I provided the info as requested and the voice let me know that it will be out once the driver returned. At 2:00 I was still waiting for my food to arrive and called again but this time the voice on the other answers with a «hello». I respond excuse me am I calling someone’s house she says no, Ms. Esther’s and says my food is on its way and they are so busy and only have 2 drivers but my question is why is this my problem? Maybe you should stop taking orders if you can’t deliver. I tried to patronize neighborhood businesses but when they have no respect for customers I have no repeat for them and I will never set foot on the premises. I texted Eat24 to ask them if I could cancel and then called the store to see where my food was and the voice told me Eat24 cancelled it. How could it be cancelled it the order was out the door? Bye Ms. Esther’s you just lost a good customer and a good tipper.

Cant write a review about the food if it never came! Placed order at 11am thru grub hub was told it would be here no later than 1220. Called geub hub at 1230 they said resturant told them it was on its way. Called back at 1240 they said resturant said the same thing. Called back at 1259 and finally cancelled my order. It should not take more than 2hrs for breakfast. I love supporting local small businesses but if u dont have the man power to offer delivery you shouldnt. Very disappointing!

I normally never take the time to write reviews but I have to share this. I ordered a fish and grits platter from here via grub hub on the 12^th and let me tell you if I wasn’t so hungry and the delivery guy hadn’t left I would have gave that crap right back. First off the fish was frozen ugh and they only gave me 1 piece! Secondly, i ordered a side of eggs of which they were too cheap to put in a separate container and decided to put along side the rest of the food. Lastly the total was like $ 15!!! And for what?! Whack ass food!!! Initially when I read the reviews about this place the majority of the complaints were about the long wait for delivery and I actually ordered from here before and the food wasn’t bad. This time was the last time tho. You all need to really go back to the drawing board. I just got a fish and grits platter from Dawns on Ogontz with a SIDE of eggs and if I could I would upload a picture of what your food should have looked like.
You’re lucky the lowest rating is a 1 because if I could I would give a 0!!!
Horrible! I will never order from here again!

I ordered a omelet from here at 1:30 in the afternoon and the food arrived at 2:53. And as soon as my fiancé took a bite into the omelet she got a mouthful of eggshells. Do not order from here!!!

I placed my order through GrubHub at 10:53am and it’s now 1:24 as I write this review! I chose Ms. Esther’s to give local eateries my business and I don’t think I’ll be ordering from this establishment ever again. I called the restaurant at 12:10 to find out where my food was. The young lady that answered the phone says «well your food isn’t even supposed to be there until 12:18» so I then ask her if my food was prepared and ready for delivery she tells me no. I then ask her how was it possible for my food to be here at 12:18 if it hasn’t even been prepared yet and she hung up the phone. I called back and got connected with a different young lady who apologized and told me my food was being prepared. I contacted GrubHub around 12:27 after my interactions with the restaurant staff and they called the restaurant to find out how much longer it would be. It’s now 1:33 and I STILL have NOT received my food. Never again will I order from this establishment!

They so called sent my order out at 12:30 but I never received it so I contacted eat24 because I made my order thru them and they tried to lie to them saying they had a gas leak … Bullshit !!! Never will I order from this place again …

Food is amazing but the wait for it is horrible!!! Even if u call ahead make sure u give them an hour at least smh

These turkey sausage fritters were RIDICULOUS! It’s everything a fried savory breakfast with sweetness should be and more. It’s a turkey sausage dipped in pancake batter, fried, sugared and served with syrup! I literally would slap somebody’s momma for these!
Never been to the eatery, it was a take out/​breakfast food delivery, so can’t say anything about the place.
They do have a selection on non pork meats for you non pork eaters. .and pork meat options as well.

Ordered once again on Saturday. The food is still good. The wait is still long. I called ahead to ask how they were running and if they were behind the GrubHub delivery window. I was assured they were not. Order took an hour and forty minutes. Better than the 3 hour fiasco but still a long wait. It’s solid breakfast food but the delivery is nightmarish.

I do not understand some of these negative reviews. Genuine reviews should be more about the food. Moreover, any new business will have to work through technical issues such as deliveries. This is a new business operated by a young man who has taken a leap that many of us do not have the courage to do.
I am a really picky about where I eat. I am concerned about the cleanliness of the establishment and the taste of the food. On a whim one morning, I walked over there for breakfast. I was pleased to see that the restaurant was clean and in order. You can even watch the chef cook your food. I ordered beef bacon, eggs and cheese cooked light and home fries burned. Typically, restaurants over cook my eggs and under cook my home fries. The food was perfectly cooked. I went over there for breakfast this past weekend and ordered beef bacon and pancakes. OMG, the pancakes were good!
Bottom line — the food is good and the restaurant is clean. Give them a break!

Horrible! I waited almost two hours for the food to get here. The nicest part about it was the delivery guy! My food was over cooked and undercooked. I ordered fish and grits platter with short stack of french toast. No syrup. They forgot my ginger ale. The fish tasted way too fishy. 5 pieces of bacon were under cooked minus two pieces. Uggghhh i was SO hungry! I only ordered bc i didn’t want to drive in this weather! Never heard of this place. Never will I order there again. So dissatisfied!

HORRIBLE!!! Disgusting!!! French toast and eggs and bacon was over cooked! Delivery took too long for it to only be around the corny! I’m never waiting my money on them again!
