Giving a two-star rating because I went out to eat with my cousin and, although the food was good, the service was mediocre. I had the fish and shrimp and chips meal which was good and filling. She had a burrito filled with beans, served with rice and refried beans on the side. She enjoyed her plate. We both shared their Spinach dip as an appetizer, it was served with pita, which tasted good. The server looked like her life was a streamline of perpetual shit. She didn’t smile, introduce herself, I had to ask her for her name. The host wasn’t as terrible, but she didn’t seem too happy to be there either. The overall reason I gave this place a two, was because my cousin got food poisoning. She was sick for two days and it pretty much ruined our little stay in Philly. Aside from the bad experience, we went on a Saturday evening, and the place was popping. The décor is super comfortable and homey-like.

The atmosphere in Moriarty’s is spot on. I love the dim lighting, decorations, and friendly people that gives it a very comfortable feel. I usually always get one of their IPA’s from the bar because they always seem to have a great selection of those. If you’re looking for the typical domestic beer you’ll probably not have a whole lot of options, but that just leaves room for better tasting beers in my opinion. Unfortunately the one thing that isn’t the best here is the food. I’ve tried some of their burgers and sandwiches including the BLT, philly wrap, and BBQ pork. Some were better than others(the philly wrap is particularly good), but nothing amazing really stood out about them either. Since I haven’t tried much more than that off the menu I decided to give Moriarty’s four stars, if not for the food then for the atmosphere/people.

Moriarty’s claim to fame has to be their chicken wings. Everything else falls a notch lower in comparison — 3 stars primarily on the strength of their wings. Often busy but cozy pub for a beer and wings. I tried some of the other dishes and wasn’t a huge fan. The burger was OK and Corned Beef sandwich lacked real flavor. Shepherd’s pie was a little better. But those wings… stupid good. You get a massive portion of freakish large sized wings. The sauce is excellent and used sparingly. They are served slightly spicy but most can easily handle them I think. A good beer menu is available but a little expensive(outside of happy hour). All beers appear to be served in a small tulip glasses but come with full pint glass prices. Price aside, not all beer is meant to be served in a tulip glass. Service is good and your food is served incredibly fast. BK

Moriarty’s dishes out one killer spinach dip. Accompanied by warm pita, this dip is served in a small bowl and is mixed with the perfect amount of fresh cream and artichokes. And it’s no skimpy portion, either! Add extra pita for $ 1…you’re likely to need two helpings. This is currently my favorite dip in the city — by far — and you should probably give it a shot if you’re into spinach. On a meatier note, I keep hearing about their wings here, but I’m more into burgers, so I’ve ordered the Locust Street(bacon and cheese) burger a couple times now. It’s standard, cooked to your request, and comes with pretty good fries. Staff here has always been friendly and I love the décor and ambiance. It’s such a relaxing place to spend an afternoon with a good drink or a series of tasters. Definitely need to visit more often!

Ambience: Very much a pub. The eyes will never get bored from all the array of things hanging from the walls and ceilings! This place was jam packed, but had good energy. People were enjoying their food and company. They’re tv’s throughout this place with a variety of showings being displayed on them. This placed looks small from the outside and once inside, it’s at first very narrow as the bar sticks out, and they have seating at the bar, as well high-table seating across from the bar. But further back, it’s like they have a whole other dinning area with plenty seating. Food Presentation: typical bar/pup eatery! Multi-colored plates that remind you of eating at Tex/Mex places. Nothing real exciting! Taste: we had their Famous Wings($ 9.99), and my God they’re good! I’m not a huge fan of big wings, so I was kind of nervous trying them, but I just started right in on them! And to my surprise, loved it! We also shared their Nachos Supreme($ 10.99)– they were loaded nice portion as well, taste pretty good! Then I had to try the Locust Street Burger($ 10.99)– smoked bacon and cheese, it was ok! Nothing exciting. Server: was good despite the busy crowd. Drinks were constantly being refilled in a timely manner. Our server had multiply tables and seemed to be doing a good job managing them all! Revisit: Definitely! Ok food if you want to done on a budget! Prices were unbeatable for the amount of food and taste you get!

I used to think the best wings were a toss up between Midtown II, Buffalo Wild Wings or Wings to Go… But none of them can compete with Moriarty’s. My coworker put me on to these baby’s and so far I have order them at lest 5x. The sauce is amazing and they give you whole wings so you get a ton of food. enough to share. I have also ordered their appetizer called«wings and things» which gives you two(whole) wings, two mozzarella sticks with marinara and two potato skins. Its pretty decent, except, since I don’t eat bacon, the skins end up being covered in just whiz with a side of sour cream. Whatev.

They have a giant sign that reads ‘fresh vegetables’ hanging in bar, yet the only thing remotely healthy thing on the menu is a roasted veggie wrap that consisted of merely lettuce and tomato. I told the waitress that they left off the roasted vegetables, so she brought me a tiny cup with literally two small strips of red pepper soaked in oil most likely from a jar or can.

Great find in central Philly. Warm cozy pub atmosphere. Nicely decorated for Christmas/Holidays. Nice list of on draught beers. decent selection of house wines that won’t break the bank. Large menu of pub grub including some Mexican and Irish dishes. The real winner and house specialty is the Buffalo Wings. Tasty, with a decent amount of heat and a good dipping sauce. HUGE amount of large wings, are Terradactyls still alive somewhere? Safe bet for a nice meal and a tasty 12 year Jameson’s for dessert! Very reasonably priced.

The table was wobbly and the service was slow… also, I will never understand why some people expect to be tipped 20−25% when they have no lemonade at a full bar.

Excellent pub in the city. Good beer and food specials. Their wings are to die for! Really good sandwiches! Their veggie wrap might be the greatest thing in existence!

Very large beer selection — Karaōke upstairs on a Saturday night — full sized chicken wings(they give you the full wing) — staff was incredibly nice and accommodating. The menu looked good, but I only had room for the wings. It was a large order! This place was a lot of fun to hang out at. Would love to come back at some point in the future. There are plenty of parking garages in the area, so parking definitely isn’t a problem.

Moriarty’s has the best wings in the city. It has been my go to place for the past 5 years. I encourage you to get their wings since after all, they are delicious. Unfortunately I had to deal with their management which ruined this place for me. I ordered wings and got home to find there was no buffalo sauce on the wings. I rode back to Moriarty’s and was given the correct order. I figured I would see if Moriarty’s management would comp the charge for their mistake and my wasted time. The manager who will now be referred to as «the dingaling» said no because it was an honest mistake and they sell lots of wings. I agreed and told him I was only asking to see what kind of customer service Moriarty’s had. The dingaling then got smart and started to argue that it was not exactly a «customer service» issue. Excuse me if I used the wrong term dingaling. The dingaling then tried to compare it to ordering pizza from a pizza place and getting the wrong order. I told him that has never happened to me. The dingaling got insulted and told me that was«uncalled for»…okaaay. The dingaling offered the wings I brought back. For full disclosure, I took them. He then stared me down as I rode off. You would have thought the dingaling was a top executive at J.P. Morgan Chase who could give a flying F about their customers. I heard you loud and clear dingaling, you don’t care about my time, I won’t waste it at your business.

Great place. This is my 1st time come to this place. I came to have a brunch, and I got a big plate of rice, veggie, beef, cheese, chicken, etc. Traditional Irish warm food. Great place with harmonious atmosphere.

When I lived in Pennsylvania I always ate here. I had to come back so I brought friends with me. We stopped in for the hot wings and beer. They’re hot wings are legendary. We have been looking forward to it ever since we left Dallas. It didn’t disappoint. Plan ahead and make reservations. The location is very busy. Park in a parking structure. The Philadelphia parking Authority or a bunch of assholes. You don’t need an expensive parking ticket. The restaurant is friendly and busy. And it’s well worth the stop in to get the hot wings.

Went on a Friday night, so it was pretty loud and crowded. I went to meet friends, and sat in the back. For being so crowded, the wait staff was always available and attentive. I didn’t grab a bite to eat, but everyone who did said the food was pretty good. I had a few beers, their beer list isn’t the best, but certainly isn’t the worst. T The prices were pretty good for the area. Pretty good for a casual group get together, if you’re looking for a place to take a date, I’d advise elsewhere only because of the level of noise and how dark it is inside.

If you love the taste of tangy spicy wings, you HAVE to have their famous buffalo wings here!!! I love it so much I always ask for EXTRA sauce on the side to dip. — comes with 8 huge wings, recommend this to share, because it can get very tiring eating only wings for your meal. Crave this all the time! Call ahead of time to reserve your party, can get very busy at night time especially Friday and weekends! But day time during lunch, they are very chill with lots of open space inside and outside.

The inside made me feel like I was back in Ireland. While I wouldn’t want to spend an entire evening here, it’s smashing for a quick drink before dinner. The food is a definitive pass, but the staff is friendly and makes you feel welcomed. I was actually able to fill my own class from the tap whenever I wanted– something I’ve never done before. Literally entertained me for a solid hour. However, all that aside, beer is slightly over priced here.

You ABSOLUTELYCANNOT leave this place without getting an order of their BUFFALOWINGS! By far some of the best sauce I’ve ever had, perfect crunch, no batter, and GIANT wings! Bring a friend to share some with. While you are at it, just give yourself a full whole in your stomach and get some Spanish fries, they are seasoned curly fries that come with a hot pepper. Your intestines will thank me later. Mostly if we are not here for wings, we are here for drinks. The place really transports you to become a beer drinker and for us Northerners, I appreciate the NYC paraphernalia sprinkled on the walls here and there. The servers are really nice and always helpful in making a decision off of their massive beer list. This is a great place to catch up with a group of friends, happy hour or grab drinks in the midst of a serious bachelorette party bar crawl. #justsaying There’s also decent street parking in the area.

Staff was nice and friendly to begin with. We went for an outdoor seating as the weather was nice and warm. Went to this place with a friend. ordered wing and things’ and fish/shrimp and chips. My friend was a little disappointed by her fish, shrimp and chips order as she found it really bland. Coming to wings, this is by far the best wings in Philly I ever had. Enjoyed every bite of it. My wings and things came with mozzarella sticks and potato skins. I have to admit the potato skins were ah-mazing. My mouth is still watering as I write this. LOL Overall I’d totally suggest to checkout this place. Happy eating y’all :)

Hands down, the best buffalo chicken wings in Philly. And since I don’t really eat wings like that when I travel, it would default as the best wings I’ve ever had. An order gives you about 8 wings. But keep in mind, it’s 8 whole wings. Drum-wing-tip = one wing. There is the perfect amount of sauce on the wings. Not too wet, and I guess it is more on the dry side. But full on flavorful! And it is fried to perfection, every single time I’ve come here. Amazingly consistent. Crispy on the outside, moist on the inside. I highly recommend this place to any buffalo wing fans out there. The place acts as a bar/restaurant, so it can get a little loud with people standing around the bar. The beer selection is actually quite good as well, so good beer + great wings = heaven! You can’t NOT order wings when you get here. You smell it as soon as you walk into the establishment. And look around — every table with food will have wings. You don’t come here to eat salad(though my friend did get one and he said it was good.) They also have other popular Irish dishes like Shepherd’s Pie, but the wings and draft selection are definitely the most memorable. I could use a revisit right now!
