This place is very underwhelming to me. I enjoyed that it was on the water, so you get the cool breeze. This is where the positive ends. The customer service was incredibly slow. I swear that I would wait like over 10 minutes for a beer. The prices were also a bit pricey for what I usually spend. Honestly, this place is a one beer spot and move on.

I had a great time at Morgan’s Pier this past week with a group of friends. I didn’t realize how large the space was until I went in, but its really big and spacious — lots of room even though there were a ton of people enjoying the night there! I only drank beer, so I can’t speak to the other drinks and food, but I was happy with what I was drinking. The service was extremely quick as well — I went to the larger main bar in the center, and was served within five minutes. There were also a few floating waitresses who periodically asked me if I wanted anything throughout the night. I thought the ambience was great, especially on a nice clear summer night, its great to be able to sit outside and enjoy a view overlooking the waterfront. I would definitely come here again. PS — 5 $ cover

Contacted them for two weeks leaving a few voicemails and heard nothing back. I finally got ahold of a manager and asked about reserving a table for a bachelorette party. They tell me they don’t hold tables unless for a big party. So we show up and I ask to speak to someone and the costumer service is rude. The guest list is for people who know someone who works at the bar. So I guess if I slept with a bartender I could get in for free. They were very inconsiderate about it. Screw around with a employee is the best way to get in. If you plan on coming here for a bachelorette party don’t. It was so crowed you couldn’t even get a drink unless you waited in line for 15 min. I would suggest Cavanaughs river deck for a good time.

Getting carded to enter for what reason? I was firmly told ITISTHELAW, while my in laws just sashayed right past this law enforcer. I’m over 30, didn’t intend to drink alcohol. Came here to have a fun dinner with my family because they rave about the Chef’s food. So while they are seating themselves I’m stuck outside. I’m forbidden to enter this place because I don’t have a American ID, but a European one. This supposed rule is illogical and discriminatory. The dumbest thing is I’ve been to the Pier many times in the last couple of years and never had a issue with my foreign ID card, which I was only asked to show at the table when I was ordering a beer. Not going back. Not sad about it either.

Went Saturday early evening with a friend. It was very hot out but they had the mister’s on which was nice. The music was good, as well as the crowd. We had 2 specialty drinks which were strong and a few beers. We also tried the guacamole and chips appetizer which was very good. Would defiantly return.

Can’t give it any stars. Had reservations for 15 for a graduation dinner, on Saturday june 10, we arrived 15 minutes early to find they would not honor our reservation because they were ‘busy’. We spoke with Amanda to make the reservation on monday of this week. If she answers when you call hang up and go elswhere.

To be fair, I have only been here once, but here it goes… the most broish and the girls who like them place in Philly. It is super nice by the water but the customera ruin it. It is impossible to get a real beer from the bar so you are stuck getting crappy beers from the coolers they have all over the place.

Love this place for a summertime afternoon. Great place to enjoy the weather. The food… I don’t know if it was a bad day, a bad cook, or what but the salt level on their food was insane. The fries were so drowned in salt that after a few I felt my ankles swell and a stroke come on. The breakfast sandwich with scrapple had a very sorry small piece of scrapple. The service is so slow, even when it is not packed. Having said all that, I will go back cuz day drinking there is nice even if you have to order your 2nd round along with the first to ensure that you actually get a round two.

Came here for my 21st birthday and had a blast! The atmosphere of the bar and view of the river is like nothing else. They have plenty of picnic tables and places to sit and eat, as well as a ton of chairs at the bar. Although the drinks are a bit expensive, I don’t mind because I feel like I’m paying for the atmosphere too. The dance floor is a bit small, but they always have live bands and music playing so it’s fun no matter what. Definitely recommend coming here whenever the weather is nice!

I visited Morgan’s Pier last year, but the experience wasn’t that great, so I decided to give it another shot and decided to go at the beginning of the season vs. before it becomes the super crowded summer hang out spot. What I appreciated about this space is that it is roomy and of course the location where the view of the waterfront and the bridge is awesome. The menu has some tasty treats — I had the candied bacon and the other offerings are cool too. The drinks and beer list are average. The staff are friendly and the prices are a bit high, but remember — you are here for atmosphere and that is what you are paying for! I will def recommend to others because the vibe is cool — when it gets warmer — get there early because it gets pretty crowded.

Morgan’s Pier is one of my go-to places anytime I visits Philly. Their happy hours during late spring and summer get really crowded but there are plenty of bars and bar space for you to order your libations. Morgan’s Pier was able to accommodate my party of 8 this weekend for brunch. The $ 8 burger seemed like a good deal but it was very small. Even for a girl of my size and stature I could’ve eaten two. On top of the burger, I ordered 2 mimosas($ 511 am-1 pm, then $ 8 thereafter) and a half doz oysters($ 18). Service here is decent but I’ve always visited with a large party so I understand how hectic it can be running drinks and food orders.

Amazing view of the bridge and the ships coming in and out at night, but getting body checked by that 5% of the dudes who will absolutely hit on everyone, everywhere my friend and I walked? Not a big fan… And I looked like a potato that night, too. Cover fee $ 5, not a big deal, did not try the drinks or food; will update a review when I do next time. 4 stars for the venue location, outdoor seating and having Chef Jim Burke this year :)

This is my favorite bar to go in Philadelphia on a crisp summer night. Between the spacious room, the great location on the water, and the variety of vibes, it’s definitely a solid spot. If you come with a large group and just want to hang with your crew, grab a table near the water and enjoy the summer breeze with a bucket of beers. If you want to get your dance on, the DJ plays a great set on most weekend nights(usually electronic music). If you’re a weirdo who goes to bars solely for hot dogs, they have them too(seriously though, it is a cool little touch to have the hot dog stand near the entrance for some drunk munchies). The beer list is about average. Don’t go here for a fancy cocktail. But for what it is, Morgan’s pier does it right

Being that my younger brother got engaged here, I am going to be partial to it :) That being said, I came away impressed with this place. It is on the water and the drinks are pretty good. They have a good selection of mixed drinks and beers on draft. We had a private area, and they bartenders and waitress were very accommodating with any request for food or drinks we had. Security was good and they really did a great job of making sure everyone was of age who was inside the bar. It was a big venue and they mostly have outdoor seating so I am not sure what they do in the Winter season. But for the summer, it was a great and I would and will totally go back next time I am in Philly.

Atmosphere, drinks, and food make this place great, but don’t be fooled by their«brunch» menu. Pros — Sitting by the water next to the Ben Franklin Bridge on a warm day is very relaxing! You can see people boating and Seadooing while the bridge alone makes for a cool ambiance. Having grown up going to the lake every weekend makes me appreciate anything water related! — The Pier Burger is 5 stars! It comes with a special sauce and juicy flavors cooked medium/medium-well with no dryness! Everyone in Dallas claims to have the best burger, and they all do, so after moving from there, I was not expecting perfection in PA, but this place delivered an amazing burger! The Pier Burger is two patties, 8 oz. total, but was perfect for a meal. The Backyard Burger is one patty, but only 4 oz., and as the waitress described, it’s more of a «snack» burger. — The fries are crispy deliciousness! You have to order sides separately, so we shared the fries, and one order was enough for two of us. They are your classic potato fries… not too thin, not too thick! — The margarita and sangria were very refreshing and strong! The sangria had fresh fruit in it, which always adds a fun touch. — There is ample seating with several different sections… you can sit at the large, square-shaped bar under the«hut» with shade, at picnic tables with umbrellas(some shaded, some not), at large wooden table booths(great for groups, in the sun), in a separate square-shaped seating area with cushions, at a long table-top facing the water, or at a small upstairs area overlooking the water. We went at 1pm on a Saturday afternoon in September, and it was not crowded at all. However, by the time we left around 3pm, it was getting full! It looked like a great post-brunch drinking place. Cons — If we had gone to this place for brunch only, it would have been awful and lower star review. They only have one item on their«brunch menu» that even resembles breakfast… it’s a farm scrapple with egg. Otherwise, everything else on the menu is a lunch/dinner item. I’ve been to dozens of places that offer brunch, and they all have 50⁄50 breakfast/lunch items, which is the point of BRUNCH. It’s misleading and deceptive to have one item with egg on your menu and say you serve brunch. We compared the brunch and regular menus, and they are almost identical. While some people complained about prices, their full food and drinks menus with prices are online. You can expect to pay $ 7-$ 9 for mixed drinks and $ 6-$ 7 for beer/ciders. I don’t consider this a con since they provide the prices online plus this is standard for city living, do your research first! In our case, we were just looking for a fun, outdoor hangout with music, and this place met the requirements. If you want a cool atmosphere to hang out and drink, this is the place! TIP for parking: There is parallel street parking in front of Morgan’s Pier. If you cannot find a spot like us, you’ll have to pay $ 15 at a nearby parking lot. If you live in the city, it’s best to just Über there.

I went to Morgan’s pier on a Friday night. I got there in the evening and it wasn’t crowded yet. We sat at the bar and ordered drinks. The bar tenders were all very nice. They let us try drinks and when I told them that I didn’t like my drink, they made me a new one. We ordered some food: Tater tots and two different kind of burgers. The burgers were delicious and so were the Tater tots. As it got later, more people arrived and it became crowded. It was a good time. The music was decent. I would definitely return next time I visit Philadelphia.

This place has a great view of the Ben Franklin Bridge. However, it’s loud, dark, and filled with dudes on a Friday night. When people talk, their lips might be moving, but you might not hear what they are saying. Perhaps this is deliberate, so people need to get real close to carry out some semblance of a conversation, or to more easily tune out an uninteresting conversation without giving it away. Not sure if this is my cup of tea, especially when combined with a cover and overpriced drinks. The kitchen closes at 10PM, but if you need to eat something to help absorb your drink after 10PM, they have a hot dog stand near the entrance. I paid $ 4 for my hot dog with a piece of American cheese. I hear this place is more pleasant earlier in the day. I will probably come back to check it out. I’ve been here a couple times and my nighttime experiences here have not phased me from coming back.

It was a hot spot! I loved the location and the view. The place was jam packed, and I stood at the bar with my friends trying to get the bartender’s attention. When he finally did, he was inattentive. I understand that in addition to the lovely spring day, it was a big sport day as well, with the Kentucky derby, biggest fight and all. Thats not a valid reason for a bartender to be grumpy. Customer service, 101 of business! I did not eat there yet, I’m between go or no go. I think I’ll go for one Sunday brunch to be fair and square. Two Unilocal
