I love Moe’s. Qdoba and Chipolte may be all the rave, but Moe’s is where it is at. The food seem’s fresher, the portions are healthier and a great variety of options and salsa’s to suite every taste.

I’ve actually been a fan of the Moe’s chain for quite some time. I used to eat at the location in Chadds Ford a number of years ago when I worked nearby, and before they closed down. So I knew what to expect. I only wound up at this location because I was in the area to visit B&N for an author reading and signing, and I needed a quick bite. Usually when I come to the Rittenhouse Sq area, I try to find a non-chainy place to try that I hadn’t tried before. Given that I had limited time, this would have to do. I haven’t eaten enough Qdoba lately or Chipotle to make a comparison. And I certainly know that comparing Moe’s to a more local and authentic taqueria really isn’t fair. But bottom line… I got a huge chicken burrito(had to be over a pound) chock full of what I wanted. The ingredients were tasty enough. They give you a nice basket of chips and guacamole with it. The salsa bar has several different kinds to choose from, and it’s pretty fresh stuff. All of this with a large soda came to under 8 bucks. No matter how you slice it, Moe’s gives you a lot of decent food for a good price. If only there were one closer to me anymore.

I work in center city and heard about Moe’s from my friends. I came to Moe’s with my 5 year-old a few days ago & got a home wrecker burrito with extra chicken and a few toppings and got my daughter a kids burrito. It seemed as if the store was about to close but the employees treated me as if I was any other guest and didn’t get upset at me for coming in while they were preparing to close. My visit to Moe’s was as wonderful as a few of my friends said it would be. The highlight of my day though, was not the pleasant employees that made my food, or even the food itself(although it was delicious) the most memorable part of my trip to Moe’s was the beautiful girl on the cash register. I asked her for her name and I don’t remember it but it started with a ‘K’ my daughter was so happy because she let her pick a little colored straw and a cookie. She didn’t even seem freaked out when I asked her for her name and on top of that she was just so pretty. I will definitely be back to moe’s keep up the good work Moe’s . Shyheim Neeton

When I found out that Moe’s was moving onto Chestnut all the way from the Southeast USA, I was pretty excited. Well, I realize that they are already in the Northeast and have an «underground» location at Market East… But who really eats underground? Moe’s is literally my favorite fast food Mexican chain. Yes, that means it I think it is better than Qudoba, Chipotle, etc. WHY do you ask… Here is why Moe’s is superior: a) FREECHIPS b) FREESALSA — for your free chips(in a bar style format) c) «WELCOME to MOE’S» — every time you walk in the door d) The names of the items are AWESOME. But for serious. I do really like Moe’s as a fast food mexican joint. Like another reviewer wrote, these people working have probably never been to a Moe’s in their life but that is okay. They are learning. The food tastes the same and it is delicious. This location is very clean and they are doing an excellent job thus far. I’m absolutely a fan. Call me if you want to go ya’ll.

A new burrito place opened, awesome! They use hormone /antibiotic free meat, sweet! It’s a block away from by office, we’re match made in heaven! But we’re not a match made in heaven. I went here with boo the Sunday before Sandy hit and we loaded up on burritos to ride the storm out. I got the homewrecker with pork. As I went over to watch the girl make it I got a glimpse of the pork and it had clearly been sitting there all day and had barely been touched. There was a crust like film over it that would have sent Robert Irvine into hysterics. Whatever, I went with it. Boo got the chicken homewrecker and it looked fine. Then we got an order of the loaded nachos. When the one girl was finished making my burrito she looked over and began scolding the other girl that made the nachos for not putting queso on them and they began arguing right in front of us. Definitely not professional but as long as it doesn’t affect the food I don’t really care. With a soda the total order for 2 burritos and nachos was around $ 27, not too bad. The only problem is that the burritos had no flavor, nothing tasted fresh, and for the first time in our relationship neither of us finished our orders, for shame! If it wasn’t for the touch screen soda machine which allowed me to try eight different flavors of Fanta this would be a solid one star review but MMMM do I love fruit flavored sodas.

Chipotle is better. Go there. I stopped in for a burrito and got the«Joey Bag of Donuts» burrito. I watched as the server scooped out all the ingredients, and my goodness they were not close to being fresh. I trusted the cleanliness of the restaurant, and ate it. The flavors were fine. However, I’d rather spend my $ 7 – 8 at a place like Chipotle where flavors are better and ingredients look more fresh at least.

I am so happy that they opened up a Moe’s in the city! I I ordered a Home wrecker Jr. and it was great! The chips were a little bland but thank goodness for the queso! The only complaint that I have is that the employees seemed highly disinterested. Not one person shouted the traditional«Welcome to Moe’s!» when I walked in. Other than the boring employees the food was good and I would definitely go back!

Let me just say right off the bat: I’m in a relationship with Chipotle. We get along great. I have also heard plenty of great things about Moe’s. I decided we could meet up, see if we had any chemistry. so here’s the run down. It was worth trying, but I did not feel blown away. Except a little bit by the way the whole staff shouted at us when we walked in. The positive shouting, though. It caught me off guard. The staffmembers were super nice and chatty, clearly eager to make a good impression. The lettuce was not fresh, and there were no hot salsa options. Adding hot sauce made it a little better. Overall, I won’t go out of my way to have it again, but i did like the different sized options of burritos.

I was walking down Chestnut st, on my way home when a lady came up to me and said ’ excuse me sir, they are giving away free food at that Mexican restaurant down the street’. Now do I look hungry? Well I had just eaten but I hurried down the street to get some of that free food. There was a long line going in, but it moved fast. Moe’s is a typical fast food joint, with cafeteria style service. They make burritos, tacos, salads eitc and they had a army of the servers pounding out the free food. I got a steak burrito and I smiled at the girl serving me and she threw is 2 chicken tacos, then she filled my bag to the top with tortilla chips. They also supplied you with a free soft drink, and the soda machine had a huge selection including you 8 different flavors of Hi C. I sampled each flavor and the strawberries was definitely the best. Moe’s even had a small salsaa bar with four sauces with different degrees of heat. None of those sauces were as hot as the one in the bottle. I would have given them 3 stars, but free food always makes my day! Plus the staff was so eager to please.(they’re new)
