I asked Michael Pavol to paint a portrait as a 50th birthday gift. The result was an extraordinary, moving, unique oil pairing that has forever captured this individual in a moment in time as a work of art. The work is completely true to the subject yet imaginative. It’s simply beautiful. Pavol is a gifted artist.

Mike painted our portrait. He came our house to get to know us, to see how and where we lived. We talked for a while and then set a date for our photos to be taken in his studio. Mike took many photos and then present to us several possible poses for the portrait, asking our thoughts and opinions. We saw the portrait when it was almost finished, and again he asked for our thoughts. He put the finishing touches on it and made a great frame. It was a wonderful experience and Mike made you feel comfortable having your photo taken for the portrait.
We are very pleased and love the portrait!

Mike painted an incredible full size portrait of our son at 13. The painting truly captures his personality, attitude and likeness at that time. As we move through the teen years, it is wonderful to have this portrait hanging in our house and reminds us he is still the same kid! Mike was a pleasure to work with, put our son at ease during the photo session portion of the process. We have nothing but high praise for this artist!!!
