Capturing your baby’s first professional pictures can be a herculean task. As first time parents, you are totally insecure and super reluctant to place your child in certain positions for fear that you’ll do something wrong — you’re able to snap a hundred of pictures on your iphone, but nothing truly compares to what a true professional can create.
Like everything else in this adventure, we were late to the party in getting these pictures done — while most people get their pictures done in the first week or two after their child’s birth, we got ours done right under the wire at one month old. I was nervous and worried that our baby would cry and that she wouldn’t cooperate.
Michelle was a great communicator, sending us all the information we needed before the session, regarding how we should prepare, dress and ready the baby for her first close-​ups. She showed up on time, and organized. She came prepped with all the bells, whistles and accessories that one would never know to have to make the photo session as comfortable and seamless as possible. Michelle was able to capture the most intimate and sweet pictures of our baby and of us as a little family. Instead of a studio, she took our pictures in our home (both our bedroom and the baby’s nursery) and she was extremely patient and sweet and made us all feel super comfortable.
Michelle readied the shots of our session very soon after (what a treat!) and she sent us the pictures from our package in less than two weeks. We used these pictures in our birth announcement (they turned out gorgeous) and we gave the beautiful little albums that came with our package to our thrilled parents. We plan to have Michelle capture our baby again as she grows (too fast!) — and look forward to her documenting our growing family.
