Not really sure what people are missing here? I get lunch here twice a week. I order the burrito bowl with spicy chicken. I love it. My only gripe is it’s a tad pricey but this is center city and the Comcast center so I deal. Service is quick, their setup is clean and employees are friendly. I’m a fan.

Terribly disappointed. The fish was definitely NOT fresh. It seemed like it was frozen or definitely refried. I will NOT be going back. I’ve been here before and have been satisfied. I haven’t eaten this type of food in quite sometime but wanted to treat myself. Unhappy and still hungry as I won’t finish this.

I’ve gone several times and can tell you, it’s not worth it. The staff have communication problems where no matter how many times you tell them what you did or didn’t order, they just keep doing what they are doing. I’ve had them tell me I couldn’t get more than 1 topping on tacos, that it’s «not a free for all». Keep in mind they have very limited toppings to begin with. Overall very mediocre mexican fast food and what can be rude and rushed service.

A solid choice in the Comcast Center — but by no means a Holy Grail. Betetr than the sit-down Mexican Post locations. Meh-x-ican, I usually play it safe with beans, rice and guacamole.(Or a chicken burrito) Not bad — but not mind blowing. Fairly priced. QUICK service even during the lunch rush.

Went here for SIPS because I was at a Philadelphia Sports Network kickball game at Friend’s Select. Really cool space, loved the outside veranda, lots of tables and space. Inside was airy and pretty, clean bathrooms. My waitress was a freaking saint. She had a lot to deal with and she never missed a step. Drinks prices were awesome SIPS specials, but the mixed drinks were kind of gross. Obviously their marg’s are 20% tequila 80% sour mix, and they premix it, so you know its bad news. Decent beer selection. My friends ate the food, it was ok. There is nothing that draws me to this place except the location. It reminds me of Drinkers and Tavern on Broad, I like a more sophist acted place.

We came here basically to charge our phones after a long journey of finding the art museum. The salsa was very tasty,… If you like spice. Chips are also pretty tasty… But that’s about it. I had the chicken quesadillas and I honestly could have made them better and made them taste more flavorful at home, in a microwave. Mango frozen margarita as said by my friend«tastes like cleaning products». Although they did rectify the situation in a very timely manner, we wouldn’t waste our time coming back here.

I’ve been here a few times over the past few years… usually at someone else’s suggestion. The food is ok. You can definitely find better Mexican food in this city. If you must eat here I recommend the chicken quesadillas. I’m game to go here for the drinks. The margaritas are tasty with the right amount of kick. It can get really loud in here and the service is hit or miss. I love the outdoor section when the weather is nice.

This place isn’t that great, however I continue to come back! Very strange, I know. So, I’ve been here at least 6 or 7 times. Mostly to sit outside in the huge courtyard dining area to enjoy nice weather. If it wasn’t for that courtyard, this place might not be in business any longer! The food is average, alot of the dishes are too spicy for me. Even if the menu doesn’t say spicy, they somehow add it to the ingredients. The chicken tinga was really good, but spicy. I love carnitas, that was also slightly spicy. I also love refried beans, and those were spicy too! Their guacamole is good, and so are the quesadelillas. The burrito/enchilata dishes are decent, they give you alot of food. The chips & salsa in the beginning are way too spicy, I can’t even touch that salsa. I’ve never had anyting seafood from here, and will not try it. Stick with the basics. The margarittas are OK, but the rail is weak, so you have to spend more $$ for a better tequila so you actually get more booze. The service is ALWAYS slow. Every time I’m here it does take forever. They forget silverware, waters, and take forever to get back to your table for drink orders, or to run your credit card. But, again, I keep coming back to sit outside, so I guess that says something! Oh btw, they DONOTTAKELEVELUPANYMORE! I was sad about that too. They got rid of it.

Having eaten here before, though not for a few years, I thought I knew what to expect. Pedestrian Mexican food. Nothing special, nothing terrible. Just a decent meal. Not! My wife and I sat outside to enjoy the nice evening. What we experienced was good weather, poor service, and terrible food. The service was slow and inattentive. They got the order correct, so I’ll give them that much. My chicken mole enchiladas were well below average, with the mole sauce tasting very bland and the chicken pretty dried out. My wife ordered steak fajitas. The steak was like shoe leather; she ate a bite and nothing more. We didn’t complain, and they didn’t seem to notice she had left her meal untouched. If you want a place to eat some chips and grab a beer, then you’ll be fine here. Otherwise I’d recommend you steer clear.

We ordered white sangria that came with cups with ice that had salted rims. The salad that I ordered without cheese, had cheese all over it that I couldn’t pick off. We asked for 7 waters since there were 7 of us; we recieved 6. We also only received 6 sets of silverware. By the time the server returned we had gotten our own from an empty table. My friend ordered tequila poppers and was brought beef tacos. The service was excruciatingly slow. We intended to stay all day but left as soon as we could due to poor service that we were required to tip on because of having a large party.

Disappointing customer service. I came for happy hour and was told it was gonna be a while. So I waited around hoping for a table to clear. Another couple came in and was told it would also be awhile. I noticed a table was clearing so I asked if I could take it. The host told me no it was for the other couple because they had out«put their name in» which is ridiculous because I was standing right there the whole time. I would not recommend Mexican post and will be telling ducom(drexels college of medicine)

I was in the mood for a burrito. I don’t care for«premade» menu selections — I prefer to do my on thang — and Mexican Post lets you do just that. The people were friendly, the line wasn’t long, got a discount using LevelUp! and my burrito MYWAY –was delicious. I’ll be going back.

Bad Mexican food. I say this as a native Texan who is admittedly snobbish about good mexican food — but that being said, I am not hard to please and this place was anything but pleasing. Bland, spice-less, lacking in flavor = tastes like it was made by Mitt Romney’s accountant. Try Las Cazuelas on Girard. Have yet to find any decent mexican food besides that place which was above average to good.

Gotta love the outdoor seating and specials on mexican beer on a mid-summer night. Met up with friends for dinner here. It was a chips & salsa free for all(may have eaten too much of it). The beer specials were great at $ 3.00 per bottle/can. I ordered the fish tacos, which turned out not so great. Some tilapia, salsa, and lettuce in a taco does not make it a fish taco. Must say I was some what disappointed. On a less positive note, when I checked in on Unilocal I got a coupon for a free appetizer or dessert. The server was adamant that they don’t take Unilocal check-in offers, I asked that he check with his manager, he said he’ll need to show him the coupon, willing I handed over my phone in this battle to get a free $ 6 appetizer. It was a matter of principle. In the end, they complied and brought us some poppers.

As long as you come in not during peak time, this Mexican Post is alright… they won’t skimp, but they will charge you for just about every add on they can argue. They have me convinced that Mexican Post needs margaritas in order to be great. And there aren’t margaritas in The Marketplace. Positives: They take LevelUp

A few of us met last weekend for a bday celebration. We sat outside and the restaurant was pretty quiet. Our waitress was very nice and attentive, service was good. I ordered the steak tacos — they were ok, I just found the avocado vinegrette to be very spicy and hot and could barely eat the tacos so that sucked. My friend had a quesidilla and said it was okay. The strawb margarita was excellent, the regular margarita was so-so. Overall we felt the food was okay, nothing to rave about. We paid the majority of the bill in cash and asked for the balance of $ 25 to be put on a credit card. The next day t he person who had paid via credit card noticed that the restaurant had billed her for the ENTIRE bill PLUS the $ 25 — so in effect double charging us and then some. We were pretty pissed. She then had to waste time calling the restaurant to get the payment reversed — find the manager etc… the fixed it up in a day or two — but we felt they should have given her a freebie for the mistake and her time/hassle. Not sure I’d return to Mexican Post.

The food of course is always yummy — but my last visit here was horrible — the service was unbelievably bad! After a long day of work we wanted to have a few drinks and enjoy dinner — our waiter took our order and after serving us our drinks — we never saw him again — we watched him check on other tables — but he never even saw us eating our food — we had empty drinks and weren’t even offered a refresh — the bus boy came to clear our table and we finally had our waiter stop by — he offered dessert but not another drink — we passed on dessert and he took forever to come get our payment — so i flagged down the hostess and told her we hadn’t seen our waiter and just wanted to leave — he came back with a long excuse as to why he didnt check on us — frankly i don’t care — it was horrible service!!! Ended up going to another bar and spending our money elsewhere for some much needed beverages!

I was pretty disappointed in my Mexican Post experience. Our first margaritas were absolutely terrible… it tasted like there was no sour mix in them(or they were just super watered down). My friend mentioned something to the waitress who recommended a different hand-mixed margarita(more expensive), so we decided to do those. Those were better, but tasted like there was no alcohol in them. Onto dinner — my casa salad was awful. There were a few grilled veggies on it, but overall it was really disappointing. I asked for no olives, but they gave me olives. The dressing was totally flavorless — it literally tasted like I was pouring oil on my salad. The only positive was the quality of the avocado — it was a good avocado. I can’t imagine coming back.

Take your pick; the Dirty Post in old city or the Clean Post on the parkway… either way a good margarita awaits! I’ve been to the ‘Dirty Post’ a handful of times before the new location opened on the Ben Franklin Parkway. It’s a bit dark and dingy and even cramped on a busy night, but that feeds into the ambience of a good, authentic Mexican restaurant! That and the margaritas… but make sure you specify your tequila; my wife and I got the check one night and realized we drank $ 40 margaritas… In addition to the booze, the food is good. From a plate of steaming fajitas to fish tacos, ropa vieja to guacamole dip, Mexican Post delivers every time.

Ditto to Brynn. I cannot stand the Mexican Post on Cherry. .. but the mexican post in the comcast center is one of my favorite places for lunch. Walking into the food court at comcast can be a bit overwhelming. I always pretend that I am thoughtfully considering all of my lunch options. .. but I always end up at Mexican Post. Sometimes all you need to make it through the work day is a hearty burrito, or delicious tacos. This is fast, friendly, and fabulous. I don’t think my work week would be complete without this place.

I was standing with my friends, waiting to get into class. Somehow the previous group having the room scheduled from 4 – 4:50 equates to making us wait to start our class that was scheduled for 5:30. Either way I digress. We were«patiently» waiting and the conversation went to the song Copacabana as a father daughter song at a wedding. That song was stuck in my head and gave me a serious hankering for a margarita. Off we went to the Mexican Post since it was the closest. The margarita was so weak and flavorless. It was like drinking flavored ice water. Not cool. So I left unsatisfied and hankering still intact.
