I love the vibe here. A lot of the frame shops in Center City feel a bit impersonal, and tend to sell a lot of tacky souvenirs and knick-​knacks for tourists. This place is both a frame shop and a studio, owned by a local artist duo. They host shows in one room, and the whole place was pretty bustling the few times I popped in. It’s fun to look around and browse the art and frames for sale. I needed to frame a vintage poster for a holiday gift. The owner made excellent suggestions of ways I could frame it and helped me pick out a frame that was on sale, which fit perfectly around my poster. Thank you to the lovely folks at Frameworks!

Liberty Art & Framing is the only place I recommend friends to go. I been a customer since Jay first opened! I’ve had countless original Art works, & prints framed by Jay over the yrs. I can be indecisive picking out a particular style of frame at times, but Jays confidence and knowledge of his Craft always leads me to a very pleased finished product. Anytime someone sees my artwork, they always complement the Frame & Matt. I highly recommend Libert Art & Framing!

This place is great. I got an awesome picture of the Philly skyline, and even got it framed the same day. The price was way less than I expected and it looks great. The owner had all sorts of advice regarding the choice of glass and frame, and was even willing to stay a bit late so we could pick everything up. We’re looking for a few more prints and will certainly be back.

I am not going for literary awards here, so I will be brief: this frame shop is great! Nestled between a few other shops on 20th Street just North of Walnut Street, Liberty Art & Framing is unassuming. The owner was helpful and patient when I went in to have some photographs framed, and his candid advice was much appreciated. While not inexpensive, his work was well executed, with clean mitres on the frames and crisply cut matting. Despite the fact that I live across the street, I had trouble getting out of work early enough to pick up the frames before the holidays, but the owner offered to keep his shop open an hour late to accommodate me — a really nice touch!
