Nice atmosphere however when attempting to order the items on the menu were not available. They only had one server while he was very nice it took him a long time to get to all the tables. I would just go down the street to Starbucks if you want something warm to drink.

I stopped in for a cup of coffee. The menu offers a «pot of coffee» for $ 3.50. There is no indication of the ounces of the«pot». The pot arrived with a bowl, not a cup nor a mug. The bowl was intended for drinking the coffee. The pot did not hold much more than the take out cup of coffee and the bowl for drinking will keep me walking over to Sabrina’s for my java.

The food is pretty good, but the service leaves much to be desired. The few times I’ve been to the location on Callowhill, there is always a sense of disorganization among the waitstaff; it’s like they don’t know which table is theirs. The food service can be pretty slow as well. I think it’s an overrated chain, but I do like the décor.

Awful soup and ridiculously overpriced ! I went in to grab some soup to go for lunch. The chicken vegetable quinoa soup was highly recommended. I ordered a small(according to the menu) and after the server rang it up it was $ 10 and change. The server then said that the large is the only takeout size. I reluctantly went for it. The soup was awful. Tasteless and bland and mushy. And the size was the same as any(actually kind of small) to go cardboard container. Never again.

My boyfriend and I went here after watching a friend in the Rock N Roll Half marathon the other day and really enjoyed it! He ordered a ham and cheese sandwich which was one of the daily specials, and I had a goat cheese and squash frittata. Both were delicious, and as always his was a bit better! Service was great and timely. The seats outside were nice and it looked the inside was very cute, as well! I had a macaroon after which was PERFECT. The only downside to the restaurant is the pricing… a bit much for what you get but I wasn’t surprised by any means. Will definitely come back again if we are in the area!

For starters I love the diversity and thoughtfulness of the menu. My friend and I literally took 15 minutes reading through all of the different items to choose from. The server was very friendly and we were able to sit outside and enjoy brunch on this beautiful Sunday. After a lot of questions we decided on the FRESHMOZZARELLA salad w/ shaved vegetables, apple, almonds, Parmesan, wild arugula and organic extra virgin olive oil and I added chicken and the farmhouse chicken salads hitch was today’s special … Both were delicious! I can’t wait to return and try one of the famous tartines.

It is generous to give this place even one star after the horrible experience I just had here. Le Pain Quotidien was Le Pain in the butt to get a basic sandwich in a timely manner. Long story short: I had some time to kill before starting a night class in the area and needed a bite to eat before hitting the books. I just finished a long day at work and wasn’t going to be very picky. As I walked around the area looking for a place that offered an outdoor seat and a decent price, I eventually stumble upon Le Pain Quotidien. I never heard of the joint but it was close and they had a turkey and avocado sandwich on the menu. Sold! With about 45 minutes to spare before class, I made a point let the server know that I’m on a slight time constraint. «No worries» he said, it wasn’t very busy. I take a seat, was brought a drink and was told that my plate will be served shortly. 10 minutes pass — nothing. 20 minutes later, I finish a lemonade that will likely require a visit to the dentist, but still no sandwich. Thirty minutes go by and I’m hungry as a hostage. Time is running out. I can’t be late on the first day! A couple minutes later the server finally comes out to tell me that my order is just about to get started and that he was sorry for he delay. I told him to cancel the order and eventually went to my two hour class with no fuel in the tank. I’m sorry that I gave this place a chance. Should have just gone to the WaWa instead! Unless you have an hour to spare while they make a simple sandwich, go elsewhere…

Stopped in here for brunch post-yoga so I was starving! We walked into what looked like a busy scene. It was obvious that the staff was overwhelmed with the number of patrons already present in the restaurant. There is table service at this place, but you’ve got to find a seat. There were a few tables open, but they hadn’t been cleared… remember when I said they were busy. It took a while to find someone to help clear the table and then even longer to just get a menu to order. Once we ordered, I opted for the smoked salmon and scallions omelette. My omelette was cooked very well, but I thought the incorporation of the salmon was strange(literally someone had placed it on top of the omelette). Nevertheless, it was tasty and I enjoyed it! Portion size was great for post-workout and it came with two pieces of bread that were good. Honestly, I just wasn’t sure about the prices here. I know this place is a chain, but I can’t say that the food warranted the $ 15 price tag on my omelette. It just seemed out of line with all the other great breakfast options in the area. Could be a fun option to go and study at if you like distractions whilst you work but I’m not so sure that I’ll be back with my budget.

Love LPQ! Always has the cutest pastries and their food is surprisingly delicious! They’ve also got a great rewards program with lots of little freebies every now and then

I hate to do this, to any bakery with a semi-solid reputation but I have to. Our apricot tart dessert had a center that was completely caked in green mold. We ate the tart the same evening that it was purchased and ended up consuming about 20% of it(eating and watching TV in the dark) before realizing that it was spoiled. Upon returning it the following morning we spoke with the female manager who agreed that it looked like the tart had been out for a month and she apologized for it and refunded the money. They also sent us a small gift certificate which was nice. Will try some of the other pastries again.

A very casual nice easy relaxed place right below the granary and a block away from my apt. Absolutely love this go to place. This is perfect for coffee, lunch or dinner. Their frittata this spring was the best frittata I have ever had. That being said, I also like their breads, parfait and most things on their menu. Stop by for a lazy afternoon and feel good

Really fancy coffee shop. I stopped in for a meeting and ordered a coffee. They sat me down, and brought me a glass pot of coffee, milk, and a cup. The coffee was fresh, bold and very flavorful. The atmosphere was really cool with high ceilings and decorations. I am interested in coming back and perhaps trying some pastries too that looked delicious.

Having been to a couple different locations now and trying several different things from the menu, I have to express my love for LPQ. First of all, most things on the menu are organic and nothing will kill your diet(as long as you stay away from the pastries). The last time I went I had the chia seed pudding, which was absolutely phenomenal. Coconut milk, chia seeds, and raspberry compote may not sound like heaven, but I’m not joking when I say it is. In addition, I had the smoked salmon breakfast. That included two substantial pieces of delicious smoked salmon, a little dab of ricotta cheese, capers, two small slices of baguette, and a soft boiled egg. All together, it was a light meal(but filling), and I felt like a healthy rockstar. A side note: I can’t recall seeing soft boiled eggs on the menu anywhere else in the United States, so it made me happy to pretend I was back in France eating them.(you should cut the top of the egg off and eat the rest out of the shell with a spoon if you want to eat like a true European!)

We were in a desperate search for an amazing French bakery since we are new to the east coast and stumbled upon Le Pain Quotidien on our trip to Whole Foods Market. Street parking only. The café is nice and bright with a good amount of tables as well as a large community table. You seat yourself here at this café. This location was pretty busy so expect to wait to find a seat. The service was okay. The manager was not very hospitable or nice, but our server was very nice. She forgot a few things, but I’m sure she was overwhelmed from the crowd. I ordered the ham & cheese croissant and spiced hot apple cider. Both items were delicious. My hubby ordered the charcuterie plate with a basket of assorted breads and a café au lait. Nothing spectacular or out of the ordinary. Overall, the look and feel of this bakery/café is nice. They offer organic and all natural items which is a big plus in my book. Their croissants are flaky and buttery and they had several different pastries that we haven’t had a chance to try yet. I would definitely come back for another visit.

I always think this place is very overpriced for what it really is. I liked the food, its not, just not worth it. For example, got salad with lox for $ 14 and there was literally 2 tiny pieces and was charged extra for the lox! I love the design and atmosphere of this particular one with its wooden furniture, it was really cozy. I did take a star off for service. We were here with a group of 8 on a random Saturday night around 8pm. Place was pretty deserted, yet the service was still horrible. We waited for the menus. We waited for our drinks. We waited for the food. Probably would not come back.

This place is cute! Very cozy. Sucks that I am always on the go. I get coffee and pastries from here all the time. Coffee is strong. Condiments are on the side bar. Chocolate Chip Walnut cookies here are amazing. Crispy, light and slightly sweet. The best. I have had other pastries here and it was ok. I will have to wake-up earlier and have a sit down breakfast here to enjoy the view and morning sun. This is a great additional business to the Fairmount, Art Museum area.

Earlier this fall, Le Pain Quotidien opened up shop beneath the Granary Apartments. That was a nice surprise since I’m used to the bevy of LPQ’s around NYC. In addition to a soft opening provided for the residents, they brought out a sample of baked goods for us to try. LPQ’s baked goods are all organic and not overly done with butter, so they tasted fresh and were certainly filling. Properly enticed, the GF and I have been stopping by often for a quick snack or breakfast. An added bonus for Granary residents? We’ve got our own entrance! Toasted Croissant [$ 6.95] Paris ham, aged Gruyère, salad Their toasted croissant breakfast features a crusty, buttery croissant, filled with fresh thick-sliced ham and aged Gruyère. A nice mixed green salad with lemon vinaigrette comes on the side, replete with a few cornichon. Croque Monsieur [$ 12.95] Their croque monsieur was toasted a bit over, but was nicely buttery and filled with an abundance of ham and cheese. It was quite substantial, though at $ 13, might be a bit much. It came similarly adorned with a salad and some cornichon. Goat Cheese Omelette [$ 11.75] For a goat cheese omelette, the price point was also a bit high. Still, this was perfectly cooked, with a well-seasoned pesto dressing the goat omelette. The omelette came with fresh-baked sour dough and wheat bread, with a few pats of butter. Prosciutto & Ricotta Tartine [$ 14.10] Peach, arugula, organic olive oil, lemon Do try the tartines for a burst of seasonal flavor. I would have preferred the bread to be toasted slightly for some texture. However, the peppery arugula balanced the salty prosciutto and the sweet peaches perfectly. The spritz of lemon helped to brighten up each bite, with a ricotta spread beneath to lend some creaminess. Nice. So if you’re in the Fairmount area(or by the Center city locations!), do stop by LPQ. You get what you pay for — organic, fresh, and delicious dishes that will give you the sustenance to get through the day.

Very friendly and attentive staff. They got perfectly with the simplicity of the place. It’s clean, nicely set up and lot of different option(single table, large communal table for group, window counter) I had a tasty Croque Monsieur. Nice melted cheese on a generous serving of ham between 2 toasted piece of bread. I will try the quinoa cake next time when I will visit the city,

Le Pain Quotidien has the best menu in theory — great ingredients, seasonal dishes, organic, vegetarian, vegan options, and literally everything sounds mouth-watering. The problem is the execution! Last night we got a cobb salad at this location, along with the Prosciutto and White Bean salad. I had the white bean salad previously and it was amazing before. This time, it had barely any flavor at all. The bread came out without any olive oil or butter. And then, the egg in the cobb salad was so overcooked it was GREEN. The service was also lackluster and at one point, I kid you not, we were the only customers in the whole place. I felt kind of silly spending something like $ 14 on my salad. I want to try this again, but there are just so many better options. The pros are that it’s BYOB and has outdoor seating. Anoter good thing about ths place is that you always feel good after your light, but filling meal. But I can have that feeling at home, too!

There are very few places in the city where to get good quality food. Though it’s a chain restaurant, it offers a vast array of healthy options. I visited this place for brunch today and I truly enjoyed my omlet. I even went nuts on the bread(excluded from my diet for the most part) and the hazelnut spread. Service was not the greatest but it’s okay. I’d come back again for brunch.
