Stopped into this delightful little custom knitgoods shop & felt like I was stepping into one of those lovely, little specialty shops of a bygone era. Diane Lawrence, the owner, greeted me & gave me a tour & the history of the shop. It’s located a few steps from Campbell’s Square Park in Port Richmond, a stone’s throw from Center City. She’s pretty much a lifer in this neighborhood & opened the store as an outlet for her love of creating beautifully knit one-off’s for tots & grown-ups. I didn’t know what to buy 1st, so I played it safe & settled on a colorful, nubby, fringed scarf. The last thing I need is another scarf, but it was too hard to resist. Custom orders are welcomed. She’s determined to help this neighborhood realize its potential, & after listening to her, so am I. Kudos to you Diane Lawrence. I will be cheering for you!
