So I’m new in town… Always open that you are new in town. Aaaaand I went here for a lunch or two in the past few weeks for work and have been pretty disappointed. I mention this in my other reviews that I travel for work and I must say the meat quantity was much lower than that of many other locations. It’s not like I went back to my office and dissected the sandwich and counted said meat slices, but it felt lite and I tasted hella lettuce and no delicious turkey or salami. It feels like a trend around here that portion sizes are smaller or im just getting older and am super cheap… You be the judge. Anywho Just heard DraftKings was made illegal in NY… Does this mean the end of their ads and a return of all males 18 – 65 sanity??? Only time will tell.

Quick and convenient. Still don’t understand why Jimmy Johns won’t toast their subs though.

Jimmy John’s is pretty much the best. Their employees are always so nice and polite. Last week I had some maintenance done on my bank account which resulted in my card not working when I went to pay for my lunch. I sighed and mentioned that the bank must have messed something up and started to walk out the door. They stopped me and said not to worry about it and to just to pay next time I stopped in. It’s little acts of kindness like this that give me hope in humanity. Totally made my day. Thanks again Jimmy John’s! I cannot express how much that meant to me that day.

I am familiar with Jimmy John’s since it originated from University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana and am originally from Chicago area. I prefer Jimmy John’s any day over Subway. I think they have better sandwiches and nicer employees not asking me why I didn’t put anything in tip jar. Yesterday had a quick lunch on way to movies. I requested the whole wheat bread, no mayo, alfalfa sprouts and Dijon mustard. They are very fast and get your order right.

I like your food… But the delivery locations are redic! You just lost a $ 450 order because you wouldn’t deliver south of locust on your same cross street. Extra time round trip might have been 4 total min. Someone should call Mr. John directly.

Slow down, and gimme your meat. Yes, I was in and out of there freaky fast, as they claim. But check out my sandwich. There is like… no meat. Im eating it, and it tastes like bread and lettuce. I seriously cant even taste those tiny slices of meat. For what its worth, the italian oil was delicious. Just not enough for a return customer

I arrived at this location just after they closed on a Friday night(when the rest of the city was also closing down for the night… who knew Philly was such a sleepy town!?). The owner/manager saw me looking to see if they were open and unlocked the door for me. He let me come in, sit down with my suitcase, look at the menu, order AND eat inside while he was closing down for the night. It was some of the best customer service that I’ve ever experienced and then the food was great. This is an excellent place to stop and grab a good, hearty sandwich that makes Subway look like their food is made in a janitor’s closet. If you’re in the area, stop by at Jimmy John’s for a great experience with good prices, great service and a damn good sandwich.

I feel bad, but I’m not a fan of jimmy johns. I’ve been here 3 times. The staff are super friendly, the prices are cheap, the the service is quick. But the hoagies remind me of subway. Slim fillers, my sandwich always leaves me still hungry. There’s no vegetarian options besides the veggie sub which is pathetically iceberg lettuce and tomato with a small amount of cucumber. Very disappointed, they need hearty veggies like broccoli or carrots, upgrade the lettuce to spring mix, spinach, or arugula. Or, get some veggie patties to stuff the sandwich with. Then I’ll be happy. The unwhich is a great idea(lettuce wrap instead of bread), but those are not stuffed well either and quite frankly very boring and bland. Go to Tony JR’s around the corner for a better hoagie.

Nothing about this place screams spectacular to me. I like to customize my sandwiches. And the lady got annoyed when I said«no mayo» as if the exact way of every sandwich listed on the board – has to be actually made that way. this is fine if you are in a rush, but you lose the quality of being able to customize the sandwich to your own taste buds. They make it so fast that you dont get to decide how you want, unlike most traditional hoagie places.

How an you not love Jimmy Johns? When I say fast delivery holy cow within like 10 minutes of submitting my online order I had sandwich in hand, granted I am one block away but still. Always fresh and never soggy. Get the vito, add mayo and hots, pair it with a side of jalapeño chips and call it a fantastic lunch :)

Jimmy Johns does sandwiches/subs. Thats about it. Dont expect to come here and get an order of fries, or anything else fancy. The sandwiches dont have any sort of special ingredients, or flavor combinations, but just rather a good ol’ ham and cheese sandwich. I come here namely because of the«unwich“es, which is just a lettuce wrap with all the ingredients in it. Prices are very very reasonable as well. $ 4.50 for a smaller sandwich, and $ 5.50 for a larger one(more meat). This location has always been pretty fast — Im in and out the door in about 3 – 4 minutes. They have a small seating area that only fits about 2 — 3 people, so plan on taking your sandwich to go.

I’ve only tried JJ when they were giving out samples on Temple’s campus but I tried out the real thing today. There are only 3 seats in this place so don’t expect to sit and eat most of the time. The boyfriend and cousin both had the Club Lulu which included fresh sliced turkey breast, bacon, lettuce, tomato, & mayo. My cousin says this is her usual. I had the Beach Club with fresh baked turkey breast, provolone cheese, avocado spread, sliced cucumber, lettuce, tomato, and mayo! At first, I thought I was getting actual avocados until I read the menu again. Boo; you really can’t taste the avocado spread at all. I have also never thought of putting cucumbers in my sandwiches but I will definitely do it now. The bread for their sandwiches is really smooth. Haha but not bad. I usually like my hoagie sandwiches with sesame though. I also had a pickle on the side. You get a whole pickle for 99cents. I’ll probably come back here again.

I don’t like waiting for my food and neither does Jimmy John’s I’m always in and out in under a few minutes with my sandwich. Fresh bread and veggies all for roughly $ 6.00. Quality is always spot on, my only nag is I wish the sandwiches were a bit larger but for the price you can’t really complain. It’s just light years ahead of the squeeze tube gluttony called subway. Great for quick in and out sandwiches made fresh in seconds.

People seem to like Jimmy Johns, they say the bread is great and they have a lot of good options. This is similar to the way people used to talk about Primos. Every week people would nag me to try Primos and then finally I did and three bites into it the roof of my mouth started bleeding. Since then I’ve been a skeptic of sandwich hearsay. Then one Friday someone put a JJ’s menu in the break room, I decided I’d peep it and I saw that they do an «unwich» which is a lettuce wrap instead of bread on any option. Hmmmm, now this is right in my wheelhouse. I figured I’d walk down and see what all they hype was about even though Public Enemy had warned against this decades prior. I walk in, its a small place but accommodating. I order the JJ Gargantuan which I guess is like their Italian only super sized. It comes with mayo and«housemade Italian». I asked if they would hold the mayo and give me extra Italian. The girl said sorry we don’t have Italian. I asked if it was out or what, she said shes never even heard of it. Come on girl don’t baller block me here, wheres the Italian? Asks the manager, nope no one had heard of it despite me pointing it out on the menu. Whatever its all good they gave me oil and vinegar which is an OK substitute in a pinch. When I got back to my desk and opened it up and the thing was a mess. I wasn’t happy. I have had similar emotions opening up a whopper and having the bun upside down and the onions on the outside but at BK its almost expected. I did my best to fold it up without making a mess but it was impossible. I ended up pulling the meat and cheese out with my hands and making rollups. It tasted like I’d pulled meat out of a sandwich and made rollups. It was really a one star experience but the staff while unhelpful was extremely friendly and I love the idea of a lettuce wrap for an Italian hoagie.

I had rushed through this Jimmy John’s once before, grabbing a sandwich before jumping on a train, ordering from my phone and picking up my order in a flash. In my most recent visit to Philly, my Dad and I made a point to visit this location. It was his first experience with JJ’s and he was instantly addicted. We both savored our Beach Clubs and he was a big fan of their chips. I went for the 1 lb. pickle(sliced in quarters) and just loved that fresh bread and the quality ingredients. I have yet to go wrong at a Jimmy John’s and this location is doing it right!

Not so speedy all the time. Free smells — depends on the time of day. Unfortunately, I go very close to closing, so the smell of Red Wine Vinegar and cleaning supplies is something that I don’t want to smell, even if it’s free. I go here at least once a week. Most of the time, I get what I ordered. There are a few times where I specifcally ask for wheat bread and get the the french roll instead. You only have 2 types of bread, grr! Staff is friendly. I recommend this place over Subway anyday in Center City.

Who leaves out ingredients when not requested? Jimmy John’s. I ordered the Turkey Thom – substituted mustard for mayonaise. The biggest draw to the sandwich was the sprouts since, without those, it would just be a turkey sandwich. Well… they forgot the sprouts. Additionally, the bread was not exceptional, the sandwich only filled with a couple pieces of turkey, and mostly lettuce and tomato(a signature move of Subway – never thought a reputable place like JJ’s would follow suit) I typically only write Unilocal reviews that compliment a restaurant, however, this was a major disappointment, and warning to other customers to make sure all ingredients go on the sandwich as listed.

It’s quick — it’s fresh — it’s loaded. With meat and veggies that is! Jimmy John’s was one of those iconic collegiate sandwich shops and brings back memories for me. The Big John(with roast beef) and additional avocado was always a must for me. Delicious. The ingredients are so fresh. Having moved to Philly two years — I was glad to see this joint be all up in this jawn(I’m sure I butchered that). This and Potbelly’s — what more do you need for sandwiches? Today — they had a customer appreciation day where their first six sandwiches were $ 1! Now that’s good PR and good customer service and appreciation. Can’t ask for much more from a company.

I don’t see what all the hype about JJ’s is. It’s a long, low-priced sandwich that’s made pretty quickly. The staff put quite a bit of mayonnaise on my sandwich, a roast beef sandwich. I was hoping the bread would be a little more crispy since it is a French roll. There was a minimal amount of meat on the sandwich but it tasted good. That’s about it, just a cheap sub sandwich.

Basic hoagies and sandwiches. Better than Subway — but nothing orgasmic. I prefer Primo’ any day. That being said, I am glad to see another moderately priced, FAST lunch option in the area.
