I love coming to JC to have Indonesian snacks. My favorite one is lemper, the sticky rice filled with chicken and wrapped in banana leaf. The shop is clean and has a few seats to enjoy a cup of coffee, bubble tea or even hot chocolate. The other plus of JC is the variety of desserts. Not just limited to Indonesian snacks they also offer delicious cupcakes, croissants, cake pops and even order your custom birthday cake. Definitley a must visit when in south philly.

I secretly love this place. Ok, maybe not a secret because I’ve been telling everyone to go here. Their cakes are delicious, beautiful, not too sweet, moist, soft and really fresh. I think the price is pretty standard– $ 22 for a small cake. You can also ask them to make it in whatever color you like! Lots of street parking around as well.

We ordered a birthday cake from here. The cake was decorated beautifully. The Cake itself was moist and very yummy. And the frosting was the happy medium between very sweet and very creamy that we like. Excellent bakery! Will definitely use again.

Soooo, I stopped in today to check out this new Indonesian Bakery in South Philly. Really cute establishment on Snyder Ave. I almost felt like I was somewhere in Center city. Yes the location might not be the best but its really a cute bakery to check out if your craving Indonesian sweets. They also serve American Pastry’s as shown in the pictures. Might I say they also bake cakes. I asked the lady at the counter about the prices for her cakes and it is comparable with other bakeries in the area. So I’m looking forward to ordering some time in the future. Today, I ordered some pastries. The almond croissant, pandan cake, a couple slices of the rainbow cake. They were pretty good. I can really say the pastries looked like eye candy. My favorite pastry was the Ice cream cone shaped pastry. It was sweet and the crust was light and not overly flaky. Prices were good not overly priced as another reviewer had posted. I will definitely be back here again.

One of my favorite Indonesian bakeries that happens to conveniently placed in my neighborhood. Food’s amazing, prices are incredibly affordable, and the workers are super friendly. Go check it out for a little taste of Indonesia!
