If I could give this«café» a zero star, I would. First of all, you can barely call the coffee that they sell there coffee. It just tastes like watered down coffee-flavored tea. Not to mention there is NO caffeine worth a lick in there. Second of all, for a company who is so worried about social responsibility, why would you refuse to fill up my thermos, but instead charge me five cents for a small plastic cup of ice? I don’t care if you’re charging me for ice, but I do care that you’re spouting all kinds of eco-friendliness, but it’s about as watered down as your coffee. Let’s not even dwell on the prices because they are more expensive than Starbucks and they actually give less coffee(in terms of volume). Third, they refuse to fill any thermos, other than their own brand of thermos. They charge for their«perks» card, and if you have your own thermos, you can’t even get a discount for bringing in your own. Fourth of all, almost all of the baristas don’t know anything about customer service. They exude this sense that they don’t want to be there, because there’s no fulfillment in pressing a button to make someone a cup of coffee/latte/cappuccino. Finally, they have a $ 5 credit card minimum, so you have to fill up on their sugar laden pastries or go without coffee. Sodexo, the mother company, is just out for their bottom line. Sure, every company out there in existence is out to make money, but you shouldn’t make the customer feel like you are. For example, they charged me five cents for a cup of ice. 25 cents for any utensil, 5 cents to pour milk into your coffee, 5 cents for a Splenda, 5 cents for napkins. They are literally, nickel-and-dime-ing us students, residents, and attendings at Hahnemann. And for that, a zero star it is. And seriously, if you’re going to call yourself Jazzman’s Café, maybe you should play some… jazz?
