I had gotten a nose piercing done in Syracuse on Marshall St, and I tell you not, it was re-infected every week, no matter what I used to treat it. When I took it out after 7 months to change the stud, it had never healed, and closed itself up in an hour. Saddened by the loss of money, I went to Ill Skillz and there was an incredible guy who was kind enough to offer to help me put my stud back in. And when he realized that it was closed, he offered to re-pierce it for me. It was quick, easy, and sanitary. It’s been over a month, and I’ve had NO problems. no infection, it’s healing well, and looks great. I’m eternally in his debt, and I will DEFINITELY be coming back here to get my 2nd and 3rd tattoos done by this guy – I wish I knew his name but only that he was heavyset and darker-skinned than the guy manning the front desk.

I came here to get my lady parts pierced and my sister got her face pierced. Although this is a painful piercing, the guy made me feel very comfortable. He was as quick as he could be. He assured me that he’d done plenty of them. And from his professional nature, I believed him. I can’t remember his name but he was married to one of the female tattoo artist there. There was a heavyset guy who was there at the time we came and he worked there as well. He was very personable and even gave my sis his number so we could call him if we ever wanted tattoos. Which we did. The only reason I won’t give them 5 stars is because when we actually came back to get our tattoos done there was a different guy there, none of the original staff, who tried to rush us in our decision making process as if this wasn’t something we would have on our bodies for life. A tattoo artist should NEVER rush you. But when we told the heavyset guy about his disgruntled employee, he was very apologetic and promised us that he would take care of us personally. SO I’m sure that was 1 isolated unpleasant experience because everyone else was very nice to us. Whoever that guy is – and I think he had locs – I just wouldnt let him touch me ever!

From the looks of her pictures, I’d have to say that she does great work! Your N., are you sure you weren’t in the back of McDonalds, getting your tattoo done?

I think personality, cleanliness and handwriting are very important when picking out a tattoo artist. At Ill Skill I got it all. Kyle was very cool and helped me pick out a design. I loved his hand writing and decided to go for it. Now it was time to pick a place to put the tattoo. Kyle helped with that too. We talked, we laughed, and I got inked for the third time. Kyle must have changed gloves a total of 10 times during our 45 min session. Everything came out of packages and nothing was left sitting around. I’d definitely recommend this place. I thank Kyle for helping me pick a tribute to my dad that I was comfortable with. I absolutely love it. :)
