Happy Hour — Monday thru Friday 5−7pm — featuring $ 5 glasses of «house» red or white wine and half-price appetizers. Scattered along the bar are small bowls of crunchy, cheesy nuggets baked from some sort of dough. A fine display of 120 bottles of wine, all tapped and ready to pour via their cruvinet system. Pleasant and intimate-feeling atmosphere. The house red wine I enjoyed on a recent Friday was very nice for $ 5. I found it very drinkable(I don’t remember whether it was an Argentinian or Chilean wine) by itself and it also went well with the three different appetizers we ate. Recommended: the escargot and the calamari appetizers Bonus: after enjoying your wine and appetizers, staying the night at the Penn’s View Hotel

This bar is the best wine bar in Philadelphia. Located in the historic Penn’s View Hotel, this bar offers hundreds of vintages. Did I mention that the bottles are arranged in the wall and are tapped? Very interesting site I might add. I suggest getting a flight of wine. Their recommendations are spot on.
