Great macarons, lots of interesting flavors!

This place was great, walking the dog in the blizzard and decided to stop in. Hot chocolate was rich and the pastries were delicious. Will be returning

A cute little café opposite the Betsy Ross House. The main entrée of the café is a great array of colorful and flavorful macaroons. Good coffee and tea selection. Great flavors and wonderful service. The macaroons are $ 2 a piece which is a bit pricey but fiscal restraint keeps you from eating a dozen of these chewy, colorful and tasty treats. The place is quiet and brightly lit. A welcome treat in the midst of Starbucks with mediocre food and Olde City Coffee where the cost of the baked goods is absurd because they are stall. Stick with ICI for better service and high quality baked goods.

This fantastic, little café is every macaroon lovers dream! They have approximately 25 different flavored macaroons to choose from, which are all made in-​house by the way. Though the macaroons are their main attraction, I am actually a huge fan of their Almond Croissants. The croissants are buttery and flakey, with a light sweet glaze over it.
Pros:
– Interior is very urban chic with seating spaced reasonably apart from one another.
– Regardless of where you sit, you are always near an outlet
– The macaroons are obviously a pro!
– They have free samples of some of their selected baked items
– The owners and staff are super friendly, engage in conversation with you, and remember you!
– Coffees and teas are delicious (there is no need to go to the Starbucks a few houses down the street… if you do, you obviously do not have a palette for coffees/​teas)
Cons:
– I wish there would be a discount of sorts if a patron ends up buying macaroons in bulk

This is the perfect little quaint shop in the artsy section of center city. The macarons are the best. I had the dark chocolate, hazelnut, passion fruit, lemon, Macha, café mocha and coconut. Let me tell you that you are going to love them. I’m in love with this place. If you like coconut, you must try it. It’s sooooo good.

So this is what macaron heaven looks like! There are more macaron flavors than I can count in this cute café. I admit my eyes were bigger than my stomach and I ordered a box of 12 macarons. I couldn’t help myself, I wanted to try as many flavors as possible. They have the traditional flavors you’d expect but also some neat ones like lime basil and lemon lavender. 5 stars for cute decoration, friendly service, and delicious macarons! Highly recommended and I will surely be back for more :)

The place’s décor is very cute, service is friendly, and they have several tables, although beware — if you decide to study/​read here, you will most likely end up purchasing and eating many macaroons!
While they sell other pastries (I saw some sticky buns), the macaroons are the main attraction. And wow, do they have a boatload of flavors! I decided to get a box of 8, even though they were $ 2 a macaroon. In this case, I thought it wise to indulge! The flavor variety is vast — you can get everything from Earl Grey, to the classic Double Chocolate and the exotic Lavender Vanilla. The macaroons are delicious too, so I recommend trying a bunch.
The one thing that I wish ICI would do is offer a discount when buying macaroons in bulk (like in packs of 6, 8, etc.) Definitely worth the visit when I’m in Old City!

Found this place through Unilocal in search of a macaron place and glad I did! Although I only tested out their macarons I can say I will be coming back to try out the rest of their menu. They had a large selection of macarons which is a huge plus. The actual macarons were consistent in texture, decent size and had a nice distinct flavor to each one, not too strong or mild. Best macaroons I’ve had in Philly.

Tried Ici for the first time today! Everything was delicious, especially the peanut butter dark chocolate macaroon and the white chocolate macaroon. I bought a total of 12 to go and I can’t wait to go back and try the other flavors. Definitely would recommend!

We literally just left this café a minute ago. First off, the ambience is very homey. We got inside and was greeted right away who I believe may be the owner. They had a range of flavors and was $ 2 per macaron which is a reasonable price. Picked out 8 for to go and 4 to snack inside.
I’ve had my fair share of macarons and ICI’s were perfect for my liking. Not too sweet but was filled with so much flavor. My favorite was the Black Sesame. My boyfriend also had the ice coffee which was pretty good. On our way out, I couldn’t resist but buy another box of 8 with different flavors from the first.
Overall, I see myself visiting ICI whenever I’m back in Philly again.

New coffee shop and macarons shop in old city. Really lovely place with tables in the back. A great find with friendly staff.

The best baked goods I’ve ever had. Their Macarons, Cookies, Croissants, and other fascinating things are all top notch. This place is amazing.
The owner is extremely nice, and everyone else who works there is very friendly!

I’m a huge fan of this new café on Arch Street near the Betsy Ross House! The French macarons keep me coming back. I intend to try all flavors… and there must be over 20 of them. The pastries, including macarons and shortbread-​fruit bars, are made onsite by the owner/​baker. Her name is Ici, hence the name of the café. She uses fresh ingredients. For example, the strawberry macarons are made from both fresh and frozen strawberries, making them highly delectable. They carry good quality looseleaf teas as well as an assortment of Harney & Sons bagged teas. I’m a tea person, so I can’t speak to the coffees; but I hear great things about the coffees. The seating area is intimate and often quiet, perfect for reading. The staff are friendly and happy to discuss any question about their macarons. I’ve brought 5 people with me the many times I’ve visited Ici Macaron Café, and the majority (if not all) have become hooked to the café. Check it out!

I really like the atmosphere of this place. Been there a few times and the owners are really nice. And yes, they have my addiction, macarons. The macarons are really good, almost as good at audabon, which sadly shut down, however, ICI has been a great replacement! They are wonderful

One of my new favorite places. Let me start of by saying I had the pleasure of meeting the baker a.k.a the owner and she is the sweetest woman!
On to the macarons… they are dangerous because you cannot have just one. HAHA. Seriously. They are made in-​house, fresh and no artificial flavoring. I tried only a small faction of what was offered. I had: grapefruit, lemon and basil and strawberry. I cannot pick a favorite because they were all great!
Aside from the macarons they also offer, from what I heard, nice tea, coffee and breakfast food. Which I can only imagine is just as delicious. Therefore, I shall return.
I only gave it a 4 because I didn’t try anything else on the menu – once I do. Expect an update!

The pastries are fresh and filling. Ambiance of the café is quiet and soothing. My favorite are the macaroons, distinct flavors and gorgeous colors. I cant decide on a favorite flavor yet, I like them all so far.

We went here right before we started a tour across the street. They were polite, knowledgeable, and served a damn good cup of coffee. Their coffee was smooth, but it had that bite your looking for. It seriously makes me sad that I ever have to drink Starbucks again! Such a perfect cup of coffee. Try the latte that is what she recommended and it was awesome. So glad we found this little gem we will be back!
We went back 2 more times in the 3 days we were in Philly. That is just how awesome their coffee was. We talked to the owner and it is their first month! We were shocked their service is impeccable, their coffee is so great and their macaroons are wonderful!
If you want some really, really good coffee try this place!

Love this new café. Their macaroons and pastries are delicious. They are the only ones I know that have green tea, jasmine green tea, chai and black currant macaroons. Each of them tasted true to its flavor and I can’t wait to go back and try their other flavors!

Fresh pastry, yummy macarons, nice environment, love my latte! Nice refreshment in a cold windy Saturday afternoon!
