My improv team rents out space at Headlong weekly to practice and it’s been pretty nice so far. It’s easy to access, pretty cheap, and the rooms are a nice size. There are hooks to hang up your bike inside and a nice «green room» in the basement. I haven’t interacted with the staff (another member of our team takes care of booking and paying them), but if a no frills affordable practice space for your theater/​improv/​dance/​whatever then Headlong is a great space.

For 20 years Headlong has made dance accessible to non-​dancers and given dancers and theatre-​makers another avenue to explore beyond the confines of convention, past post-​modern into true expressions of artistic freedom without pretension. Look up «integrity» in any dictionary and you’ll see a picture of Headlong right next to it.
