i don’t tend to write reviews but out visit to Gunner’s Run last night 2.8.16 really deserves mentioning. Myself and a friend met up with a mutual friend who was in town on tour performing at The Fillmore. GR was walking distance to the venue so it seemed perfect. We sat at a booth along the back wall which must have bothered the bartender/waiter. We weren’t the needy customers making him go out of his way be we sure felt that way. I asked if there were any specials his response a very firm and uncaring«NO» He took our drink orders and skipped me, as I was about to speak he just walked away. We conversed about it giving him the benefit of the doubt, we came very close to getting up and walking out. Maybe he’s having a bad day. We didn’t feel welcome the whole time we were there. The food was great. But the experience ruined it. He drops our check at the table and again just walks away. The three of us look at our check. What we all saw due to the very dim lighting and what must have been a mess up with the printer 50.72. We all put $ 20s down and left it on the end of the table. Capt. Unhappy grabs the billfold thing heads back to the bar. He returns a few mins later mumbles something and sets it back down. We didn’t think anything of it. I check the change for his tip and our 3 $ 20s are still there. I glance over at him, from across the bar he yells«I’m not coming back over until there’s enough money in there» I had to use the light from my phone to see our error and that the actual total was $ 60.72. totally uncool. My biggest regret was leaving him a $ 4 tip. Had I had pocket change i would have left the exact amount. Sorry Gunners Run. Your food was decent but we won’t be back. Pretty uncool.

I came in on Sunday with a friend for brunch we sat at the bar. The bartender was very friendly and funny and helped us make our drink and food selections. I did notice that he was very busy with a demanding party in the back but I think he handled them well seeing he was all alone on the floor. I did feel the resturant felt very cluttered with stuff in the back near the bathrooms. Also the patio felt kind of like an on going garge sell with all the mismatched furniture and décor. The bartender said they had a new owner and that was why so items were different. I will definitely be back again, I had a great time and the service was great. Maybe they will have a little spring cleaning outside once it gets warmer.

Very down the middle bar for me. The man bartender guy ive seen there a couple times can be very rude if you dont say your order at lightening speed. The atmosphere is not very lively, example being that there can be a lot of slow songs played in a row

First time will be the last time. Similar sentiments to some others. The service staff was less than inviting and they were complaining amongst themselves about previous customers while ignoring us new customers. Wings were so bad I didn’t finish them or take them home. Beer tasted like the lines were not cleaned for some time. The décor was nice but that’s about it. We left after the wings and went to El Camino across the street. Experience was much better there.

I’ve been dying to try the food here for a while and was extra thrilled they had vegan options. We ordered the seitan cheesesteak(without cheese) and the seitan wings. The wings were flat out awful. I’m not hard to please at all but these were so disgustingly stiff. I’ve had vegan wings at a few other places and have never been so disappointed. My girlfriend said the cheesesteak had a nasty texture to it. We’re not ones to complain or demand any comps which is why we didn’t say anything but we definitely won’t be ordering food from here again. The only saving grace to our experience was our bartender, Reuben who was very friendly and attentive. I look forward to coming back for drinks especially if he’s working :)

Came here to watch the Sunday football games and grab some food. Ordered wings and omlettes. Waitress(name was Teagan) forgot about our wings for a half hour(although she didn’t admit that) and we had to ask for them. They came out lukewarm so they definitely had been sitting in the back for a while. And then the omlettes came out immediately after and sat to the side of the table while we finished the wings. We specifically asked for ranch instead of blue cheese yet they still came out with blue cheese. And then when we asked for the ranch she walked away to get it and forgot. The restaurant was not busy at all and he waitress had no sense of urgency even after all of the mishaps and was not apologetic. That being said — the food was delicious and I recommend the spicy barbecue wing sauce!

Ordered a simple breakfast of friend egg and bacon. It took 25 minutes for it to come out AFTER I I brought it to their notice. No apologies. The food comes out cold, the potatoes half cooked. Again no apologies just bad attitude and bad customer service. Don’t bother going there!!!

BACKTOTHEFUTURE day was great! They had this special cocktail called«1.21 Jigowatt» that was simply amazing. Me and my girl loved it. Food was pretty good too, chicken fingers are a must! Nachos however have to be avoided at all costs.

It’s oct.17th…5pm…temp is 53°…they leave the door open… its fucking freezing… the burger is dry, my bread is hard, the fries taste like plaster. The jerk wings were sub par as well. best thing was the steak nachos.

We ordered a 24 wings, plain, honey curry, and jerk flavor. All were delicious. The onion rings were beer battered. The sauce for the French fries was creamy with a lil kick to it. Also tasty. Management put the Dolphins game on one TV for me even during the Eagles/cowboys game of the year here in philly. thanks for the consideration. Come by and visit Tegan she’s a sweetheart. The atmosphere was fun, all sports fans fully dressed in team gear. Outside was an open courtyard where everyone was camped out watching the game on the large screen tv against the wall. Great vibes. Come dressed as you are. All ages, races, shapes and sizes. More collegeish environment but everyone welcome. Would happily come back.

It would be zero stars, but Unilocal doesn’t give me that option. Enjoy your tomato soup with out a spoon and if you love terrible servers with bad attitudes then this is the place to go. Bloody Mary… More like cocktail sauce and soda. Boo hoo gunners run. Boo hoo!

I like here a lot. But I get the same thing so there’s that. We come post bowling at North Bowl. Park once and walk on over. It’s a junk food and beer go to. We have never had a problem getting a table outside. Never a wait. Perfect views of the screen. The big chairs are so comfortable. The plants and lanterns and lights inside make for a vibe which is very chill. The wait staff is awesome and they have lots of vegan options! Woo Hoo! I’m obsessed with their vegan wings. I love the curry honey. So flavorful. Not super chewy as seitan can sometimes be. Even my meat eating hubby loves them. Fries are really good and the fried pickles were a hit with the entire crew. They also loved the onion rings. Side of mac and cheese is good for kiddo options. My hubs and I split the vegan cheesesteak which was delish! On the smaller side but prefect for sharing with the wings! Very Yummy! Good beer menu too. A few gems and they alway have seasonals Kiddos love playing on the stage and playing cornhole as we wait for our food so that’s a plus as well! Burger and calamari were said to be bland and burnt but I wouldn’t know from experience however I do trust my family’s judgement.

I was there because there was a 94.1 SportsRadio event being held there in the Piazza. The chef was sort of doting on the radio hosts. I wish the chef realized these guys were on the radio and couldn’t eat fancy things. The chef brought out a freaking fondue and some fancy messy looking dessert. The hosts were sitting in the sun for a while. Not the best foods for that situation. But I have to admit, when the chef brought out these dumpling/pierogi looking things and I was interested. So that’s what I ordered. They had apple in them. But they were sort of bland and I was surprised it was just served with sour cream. It should of had an apple based sauce or syrup. The place was clean(but there were some unflushed toilets in the ladies room.) I wouldn’t go out of my way to visit this place again. Northern Liberties is such a pretentious/hipster place. Real Eagles fans would be packing that Piazza(there is a large screen TV on a building.)

Sooo. I’d be in a whole heap of trouble if I still lived in Philly. this would definitely be my hang out spot. Stopped in on a Saturday night with a friend and grabbed a seat by the bar. I had no issues whatsoever with the service there and found our bartenders to be quite awesome. I loved the décor and the artwork. I was feeling it. The Baked Brie was a great appetizer to share… that apricot reduction is so addictive. Also tried the Bacon Jack Chicken Sandwich with a side of giant, crispy onion rings. It had a great flavor and rested on a tasty pretzel bun. Not a huge selection of craft beer but that was perfectly fine. There seemed to be something for everyone, including cans and bottles of cheaper beers(make sure to check in if you want a free can of PBR). I have to comment that the food was just as good as — if not better than — a lot of the craft beer bars in NYC. I’d love to return and try more on the food menu as well as their house-infused spirits.

It’s a nice place to watch the outdoor screenings at the Piazza, a decent place to start a night but maybe not somewhere I’d frequent without being in the area. Service was mediocre at best. It took quite some time for the server to come over to give us our drink and food menu, even after passing our table twice. I actually had to prompt her to bring them over. After ordering drinks, she actually messed up my sister’s beer order, not a huge deal, but something to note. Food was also very very mediocre. I’d actually probably give them 2.5 stars on this one. $ 7 mac and cheese was extremely underwhelming. They don’t use elbow macaroni, the cheese sauce was not flavorful, and they topped it with a bunch of cheddar cheese, baked it in the oven. solid 2.5 stars for that. I had to add a bunch of hot sauce to try to salvage it. Frites were your standard fries, A-OK. We also ordered mild wings — which ended up really being like. honey wings? I was expecting mild buffalo wings, that nice spicy tang. Insert sad face They do have happy hour specials though ~ $ 1 off drafts, half off wings etc etc. Although there is some discrepancy. One menu says«every day 5 to 7pm» where the other menu says«Monday thru Friday 5 to 7pm». Inconsistency is a pet peeve of mine.

Has a great location and therefore potential, but just not impressed. Bartenders seemed to have a difficult time developing a rapport with customers and no one seemed to display any sense of urgency. Wings were so/so and came with a teeny tiny cup of blue cheese. Menu could use some work. The décor here was a little bit artsy with a little hint of edge or attitude. Just not as welcoming as it could be. Bummer!
