So much food! The tacos were great, especially the tortillas. I would consider going back and just eating the tortillas plain they were that good.

Overall, really good. Heads up, the pork is actually al pastor, so it has pineapples. Which I love.

Friendly, clean, delicious. Got my money’s worth with a burrito. Nice place, will stop by again if I’m in the area.

3.5 star Mexican food if you’re in the area, but probably not worth a trek(especially if you live closer to Honest Tom’s). As with many Mexican establishments, the value of your food depends on what you order. The burritos are stuffed to the brim, while the tacos are rather lacking for a similar price. I enjoyed the chicken, but my tacos disappointingly came out at room temperature. Their guacamole isn’t very big and has maybe more tomato than avocado, and I was expecting something a little more special due to the name; honestly, I like Honest Tom’s guacamole so much better. However, after 3 tacos, guac and chips, and a Mexican Coke, I was definitely stuffed. The service is awesome though! They actually seem to have enough seating for everyone, and you order at the cash register and sit down and tables with set utensils and napkins and even chips and salsa — kind of confusing since you’re supposed to pay $ 4 if you order it, so I suggest you eat in. They bring your food out to your table and are extremely nice and attentive, even after you’re done!

Pork al Pastor tacos. $ 8.75 for 3 decent-sized tacos, enough for a meal. The best part of the tacos was the delightfully flavored pork, combined with the perfect amounts of pineapple, cheese and condiments. They gave me sour cream and spicy salsa(which was more like a runny sauce) on the side, which complemented the tacos perfectly. Cant wait to try their burritos and enchiladas.

If you are looking for great Mexican in West philly — this is your spot! Just plan on double checking if you have any food allergies or preferences and don’t expect to go in an hour before closing and feel welcome! I truly can’t say anything bad about the food though, it’s spot on but it has been better! It definitely used to live up to 4+ stars but it must have changed owners. Was disappointed to see the menu has been reduced to about 10 items and the churros were discontinued. They were the BEST! The«old» guacamole had great selection, service, and taste. They still have the taste down but are lacking in selection and service.
My girlfriend and I got to Guacamole around 8pm last night and from the start the girl working the register was pushing us to get it to go(they close at 9). We ate in and shared the Nachos and Tacos de casa(both veggie). While some menu items listed cilantro, these did not. Of course, both dishes came with cilantro which my girlfriend cannot stand! She was able to eat around it on the nachos but it was mixed in on the tacos and she couldn’t take it. I told the girl that the tacos have cilantro and she doesn’t like it and asked if they would be willing to make one(it came with 3) without cilantro for her. She said of course so I say back down and then she said that will be $ 3.25. Oh — did I mention I had already tipped her a generous $ 4 on our $ 19 meal PRIOR to getting our food or service? My girlfriend tried to explain to her that it wasn’t listed on the menu and had it been(like some other items) that we would have requested no cilantro. Neither of us were feeling terribly confrontational so we paid. Then she asked us about three times if we wanted the taco to go. Now, I am not typically someone that makes an issue of nothing but when I know something is wrong it bothers me on a core level. And this did. When her cilantro free taco was delivered to the table I said to the girl — it’s okay but you really should not have charged her for the taco. She was very defensive and insisted there was nothing wrong with the taco and that she had to charge her. THEN she started removing all of the unused silverware and putting the stools on the table(around 8:30). We left no later than 8:45pm and they practically locked the door behind us. My girlfriend was extremely disappointed because I told her about Guacamole and raved about it. She has been asking to go for months and unfortunately she will not be returning. I was very disappointed because I also know the owners to be very sweet and I cannot imagine they would have handled the situation this way.

This place is okay but a little overpriced for the quality of food. It’s the only place in the neighborhood to even sit down and eat though so you take what you can get. My favorite item on the menu was the Churros but they have since been discontinued. Totally bummed!

Wow this place is so good! Hands down the best tacos I have had in awhile. They have great customer service and their prices aren’t too bad. My favorite is their chicken tacos and a side of rice and beans! This place is my spot for some good tacos.

The restaurant has great Tex-Mex food especially for the area of Philadelphia it is in. Personally I would recommend the chicken tacos or the nachos. All the meat is fresh as well. If you’re looking for an interesting twist to the meat ask for«con mole». Also look for the international soda jarritos!

Hands down the best non-food truck tacos this side of the Schuylkill.(and by that, I guess all I’m really saying is — yeah, it’s better than Honest Tom’s) The flavor of the el pastor is glorious, the hot sauce adds just the right amount of heat, and the homemade flour tortilla make a galaxy of difference. BUTONLYIFIT’S FRESH. Like the Prince of Bel-Air. And unfortunately, you can’t assume it always will be here. The mole was underwhelming — and they opt for white meat chicken, weird. Burritos are a little disappointing, with too much filler and poor quality rice(go to Honest Tom’s for your West Philly burrito fix). When it’s good, it’s great! Like roulette, with better odds. I’d say it’s worth the risk!

I’ve always enjoyed this place — we love Mexican and it’s around the corner. However, I was disappointed when I called to place a takeout order and found that they’d taken enchiladas off the menu because they aren’t «fast» to make. I was truly bummed because it was the only place in West Philly to get enchiladas. **Side note — I didn’t see that they’d changed their menu because their website requires that you download an app to your phone in order to the view the menu!** I ended up ordering green pepper tacos which looked amazing, but after taking a bite out of it my mouth was on fire! I LOVE spicy stuff, but this was to a point that I couldn’t even enjoy it. I didn’t request anything hot on the tacos and didn’t put any hot sauce on it. By the time I got down to the last taco it was cold because it took so long to power through the burn. My partner got a burrito and he loved. But again, the salsa was WAY too spicy. Honestly, we love spice and literally house salsa at authentic Mexican places around the city. But this was to a level that it wasn’t enjoyable — as much as I tried to just keep eating. :P I love this place and I’d love to see them put the customer first and not their need for speed — aka removing a simple dish from the menu. I mean — it’s cheese, tortilla and sauce. The food really is delicious if you can get past the ridiculously spicy sauce, and if you aren’t jonesing for an enchilada, you’ll love their food.

This little gem is so hidden away from Philly, but the food is amazing. Very friendly lady took our order and never stopped smiling. All in-house made food, and the salsa had a nice kick to it! Definitely coming back here.

Bar none this is the best tasting taco I have ever tasted. The owner is the best and humblest person I have met she is such a wonderful women. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone. This café is located on woodland avenue right on the out skirts of university of the sciences campus. You can take mass transit septa to here. They are few blocks off of grays ferry avenue. I’ve had my fair share of places to eat In the city and continue to take many people here for a good bite to eat and I’ve made them loyal customers. Try it I promise you’ll enjoy.

Food: 5⁄5 Got the taco mix $ 8.75. 1) seasoned chicken, 2) chicken fajitas, 3) marinated pork. All were delicious and just made you go «Mmmmm» especially after drizzling in some lime juice. I would strongly recommend asking for a second slice of lime because it really gives the food a kick. I would say it could definitely fill you up for dinner and you might even be able to share it between two(or three if you consider them as appetizers). Service: 4⁄5 Very helpful when I had any questions, but could have been a little friendlier and cheerier. Though maybe because it was just a slow day. Recommendation: 4.5÷5 I would definitely recommend to foodies who like Mexican food. Go for the Jarritos! I got the mango soda flavor and it was delish! Price MIGHT be on the high end for local college students esp. considering the local Chinese take out next door, but for taste and flavors, it’s worth a go!

I’ve only ever ordered from here via GrubHub but have been very pleases. Their chicken tacos are gigantic and have a nice spicy kick that keeps things bright in the flavor department. Heir name sake, guacamole is also well done and always worth a side order. Always a great choice if your in the mood for Mexican.

Decent Tex-Mex. I’ve never had any luck with placing an order online, although I always try. I just end up calling, but the online menu is helpful for figuring out sizes and variations on things. I like the empanadas and churros, and they have good plantains as well. The spicy salsa is SPICY! In West Philly this tends to be my go-to for Mexican, although it’s by no means my favorite or a really«wow!!”-kinda place, the value is good for the amount of food you get and it’s good enough.

I must say that I am very disappointed in the food here. I recently went again after a while and the food was very disappointing from what I remember. I was soo excited and it totally fell short. We got Veg tacos and burritos and the tortilla was sort of weird, it looked gummy but wasn’t completely gummy but just wasn’t right. The food had absolutely NO flavor. Where did all the great food go Guacamole? the staff was still super nice though.

Their food is always good. Can’t go wrong with any of the menu items. Everyone that works here is super nice and accommodating. I’ve tried their tacos and burritos. The chicken ones are so flavorful. The burritos are huge — super filling. I think half of one is enough for me. Tacos, burritos & quesadillas — so gooddd.

Such good Mexican food. I’m from Southern California and let me say this — one of the best Mexican food I have found in the East Coast. The owners are super nice and they’ve been open for a little over a year now. They really decorated the restaurant well — super bright and happy décor. Come inside, order something, and you get COMPLIMENTARY tortilla chips. We got the chicken tacos(3 generous servings for $ 6.50) and the steak & onions entrée($ 11). We finished it off with the warm home-made churros.(These are a must get.) In addition, the location is superb. It’s in the heart of USP’s campus and a 10 – 15 minute walk from Penn. Definitely coming back here to try more!
