What is it with the Chinese food spots in Philly?! I DONTGETIT! How is it a «LUNCHSPECIAL,» if there is nothing special about the order! Everywhere else on the freakin planet, a LUNCHSPECIAL at a Chinese spot is: meal, egg roll, soda. All for like $ 6. The caveat is that it’s only available like 12 – 3, or, you know, LUNCH hours. Everywhere I’ve been to in this dumb city is: meal. Nothing else. All for like $ 6. I got the boneless spare ribs«lunch special,» with white rice, and bought a Snapple. The cost was $ 7.60. Boneless spare ribs are regularly $ 6.10. Add the Snapple and the cost is 7.60. Is my «special» white rice?! UGH. There’s really only one saving grace here, and it ain’t taste, as it’s pretty standard, but this is the ONLY Chinese place I’ve been to ANYWHERE that uses big chunks of rib instead of the skinny little strips. But, other than that, meh. The bathroom had no towels to dry my hands either.

There are a number of Chinese Restaurants on Rising Sun but Golden Garden is my chose. Their food is really good for a fast food chinese restarant. My favorite dishes are the Sesame Chicken and Chicken in Garlic Sauce. Also Golden Garden is the only place that I order Beef & Broccoli. The meat is very tender, not tough like some other places. All in all if you are in the area and looking for quick chinese food, this is the place to come.
