I learned about Ends Hair Design and Day Spa through Living Social. I am new to the area and was looking for a salon to become a life time client. I decided to purchase their living social coupon for a «Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy by Cappola» for $ 75 ($ 150 value). Before purchasing the coupon I contacted the salon to make sure I was getting what I wanted. I explained I have straight/​wavy hair and needed a keratin treatment to last 2 – 3 months. I also visited their website (
…) to learn about their service.
I purchased the coupon and visited the salon the very same day. My hairstylist was nice but did not seem to know what she was doing. She told me I could wash my hair the following day. I’ve had Keratin Treatments before and knew I needed to wait at least 48 – 72 hours before washing my hair.
I am extremely disappointed with the results. I’ve never had a bad result before. I contacted the salon and Natalie, manager, told me I got a keratin blow-​out. She said they offer a Keratin Blowout on Living Social, not a full Keratin treatment which costs $ 300 at their salon. She offered me $ 75 off a full Keratin Treatment. Please note, their website does not say they offer a keratin blowout or a full Keratin treatment. The only Keratin Treatment offered on their website is the one I purchased «Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy by Coppola».
Living social coupon does not say it is a Keratin Blowout neither does Ends Design’s website. And I was never notified by any of their employees they offered two different types of Keratin treatments. In fact, I was told many times that after my «Keratin Complex Smoothing Therapy by Coppola» my hair should be straight for 2 to 3 months.

I bought a groupon to have mani-​pedi.
The staff was friendly and warm. However, the mani-​pedi station was kinda not clean, with hair all over the table and all kinds of dust. The nail polish was also very thin that even the technician herself commented.
Unless I’m having mani-​pedi emergency and can’t find another place, it’s unlikely I’ll go back there.

I am still getting over my haircut at Ends Hair Salon in Northern Liberties.
It has been almost 3 months.
The layers in my hair that were butchered by a razor are finally growing out.
I have been traumatized. There is no price for this.
I have colored my own hair with better results!
I think Ends Hair Salon is very specific to a certain hair type, it is not a Salon for universal hair (I am being very culturally competent)

Best salon in the tri-​state area. Each one of the stylists is extremely professional and punctual. My appointment times are always on-​time. The atmosphere is beyond relaxing. It truly is a day spa. Top notch experience every time. I have been relaxer free for over 15 years. My stylist Shanda has been keeping my hair healthy and growing for years. thank you!!!

Went here today with the living social keratin express coupon and was extremely pleased with the service. everyone is so overwhelmingly nice and accommodating! The people who work here are great and the atmosphere is very friendly and welcoming and not stuffy like some spas can be.
They also have extremely cool specials like Sunday brunch spa packages and mani /​pedi deals. They so detoxing treatments and cleansing packages and everything looks affordable compared to center city prices.
I had a great experience here and look forward to going back soon!

When you move to a new city you simply have to try a lot of different salons before finding right one. After several attempts in the past several months to get a great hair cut for my loose curly & wavy hair I found myself at Ends last week expecting to be disappointed. Razor cuts are very popular but will look good on my hair for a few days and then grows in awkwardly, I’ve had a hard time finding a stylist who still has scissor skills which is the best way to cut my type of hair. I was so wrong because Ends was RIGHT ON, my hair looked amazing it’s been the best cut since I moved here. I have no need to look any further.

Look, if you dont want my business tell me. I had an appt for 3:30, show up early. They let me know the person is running late, about 45 mins. I can come back in one hour to be safe or wait. I come back an hour later. The person is still running late? I wait 10 mins and I ask about the problem and I am told it will be another 10 mins, which really means 15 – 20 mins, right? I leave. They had my phone number and could have called to reschedule or let me know. I will not be going here again. Its too bad because I really liked the person there. Plenty of other places in NoLibs!

I truly cherish a place that provides you with the service they promise. I called earlier in the week to make a hair appointment (loose curls and some volume) and felt comfortable with the friendly person who answered the phone who also gave me directions and all. Today, I walked by it and thinking I was lost, called the salon and Shanda, my stylist, was outside in less than a minute waving at me. She warmly greeted me as though we were casual, long-​time friends, asked me to have a seat and offered me a cappuccino which I graciously accepted.
I only waited for a couple minutes until I was sitting in the back, eyes closed and getting my hair washed and conditioned by her assistant. I was a little (read: mega) stressed out about the time (because I had somewhere to be and never plan accordingly for salons) but I was assured and then re-​assured by three different people that I would be okay. The salon is cash only, clean, great music selection and welcoming.
Long story short, my hair looked FABULOUS and as vain as it sounds, I just wanted to stare in a mirror because I’ve never seen my hair look that good. Loveloveloved everything about my experience here and count on it that I’ll be back.
