Why do you go to ‘Hood clubs? Barside dances. I stopped into Diamond Dolls after a long bus ride back from DC. This place is more titty bar than club but it’s nicer than I was expecting. Nothing special, but not as bad as you might expect. I’d say that it’s maybe a step up from somewhere like Centerfolds Lounge in South Philly, though obviously a different clientele. There were two other patrons and only two dancers when I arrived around 8:30 but the dancers were friendly and chatty without being too pushy for tips and dances. They were expecting $ 2 – 3 after their rounds on stage though. Since there were only two of them each dancer did spend more than the usual amount of time on stage so I guess the tips weren’t entirely unreasonable. After dances and tips they came around the outside of the bar and offered barside dances. I only stayed for one beer but all in all a decent outing without spending much cash.
