Months later I find myself questioning how I was even set up with this business. In June of 2013 my mother passed away, I had never lost a parent before and I was in need of a lot of help. First, when I told Ms. Wilson I was not having a traditional funeral with a casket, flowers, and all the works, her attitude changed immediately. While I understand that funeral homes do not make a lot of money from cremations, I feel as though everyone should get the same respect. Ms. Wilson did not want to answer my questions and the two questions she did answer, were answered with attitude and irritation. Besides Ms. Wilson’s unprofessional attitude, I had to call multiple times to find out how the process with my mothers body was turning out; only to find out they needed more and more information every time I called. Why someone did not contact me is beyond me. Also, there were a few times I had to call two and three times to get a call back from Ms. Wilson. I don’t know what Ms. Wilson’s policy is with her employees, but I don’t understand why her assistant is there or what her purpose is. She cannot answer questions, fax paperwork, or give information without Ms. Wilson. Honestly, she’s a human voice mail service. I called the business today to have the final bill faxed to my mother’s bank to finish closing her accounts. I asked Ms. Wilson’s Human Answer Machine to please fax it over, in which she replied«Thank you for calling. I’ll give Ms. Wilson your message.» I fail to understand why I could not have a paid in full bill faxed over to the bank when i asked. I called an hour later, the fax still has not been sent and Ms. Wilson still did not get the«message». In conclusion, I wouldn’t recommend them to bury a dog.

The Deborah L Wilson Funeral Home is one of the worst«businesses» I have ever encountered. This woman was snippy when talking to family members. She made unauthorized changes to the funeral program. She was pushy and insensitive. Deborah Wilson gets an «F» in customer service, caring, and professionalism. Save yourself the heartache and find a funeral home that will do right by your loved one. I wish someone would have warned my relatives in Philadelphia before they made the mistake of using this establishment.
