Curran’s Irish Inn

Came here for lunch on another helpers suggestion and it’s actually pretty close to my house. I ordered the pudgy wing sampler where you can order 15 wings with 2 – 3 sauces. I wanted to try all of them so I got mild, bow and garlic. Couldn’t decide which were my favorite probably the garlic which is surprising to me. They hit the spot perfectly. Will definitely be going back probably with my wing loving son. Plenty of bar, restaurants and outdoor seating.

Not impressed with the clothing the waitress wears. Not appropriate when dining with children. The wait for the wings extremely long.

Additional parking lot adjacent to Pub. Buffalo wings are delicious! However it would be nice if they use glasses instead of disposal cups for their beverages. Place is clean.

Love this place! I used to work here a long time ago and great food hasn’t changed! Great owner and great service!

Was driving by and decided to stop in for a drink. Luckily we has stumbled upon this place on Sunday Fun Day and they had live music playing upstairs, cheap beer specials, and great wings in different flavors. I can’t wait to get up here for St Patrick’s Day because they were advertising a big block party. All in all this place is spacious and fun and won’t break the bank.

Disappointed, went here the other day and got the appetizer for two. It did not come with the specified number of wings that was stated on the menu. Friend’s 20 wings never came out with the rest of our food. No discount, just a sorry.

I’ve been to this place a few times and have never been disappointed. The food is good and the bartenders are nice.

The wings are really good here. The Garlic parm and the Cajun were the table favorite.

The bartender there at night is very rude. My friend went there every Friday night all summer long and brought alot of friends with him. One night kicked him out during a free happy hour that he was called by Currans to host and the bartender called him a free loader and told him he could not come more than once.

I really love the food here. The restaurant is huge and they have many events that I’ve yet to attend. The dance/​DJ area looks pretty nice. The main thing I love are the wings! They are huge, meaty, & perfectly cooked. They have several sauce options as well. The cajun wings are my favorite. I also love the patty melts and nachos. If you just want damn good bar food this is the place to go. The variety of drinks and specials are great as well.

I went on Friday June 26. Patty, our server, was awesome! The food was good and the service was great. The food took kind of longer than it should have but otherwise a good experience. I’d go back here.

First of all their wings are phenomenal! I recommend the Cajun. Probably some of the best I’ve had, especially in philly. Other food is pretty good too and nice daily/​happy hour specials. The outside is great to hang with a group of friends. The staff could use a little more work but overall pretty good.

I want to sneak into this bar with a hand saw in the middle of the night and cut all their tables to the correct height. Why are the outside tables so much taller than the chairs?! I feel like I’m five years old sitting here.

It has excellent food and drinks. Their wings are the best and their French Onion Soup is phenomenal. It also has many bar sections plus an outside bar. In terms of Sports Bars in Philly, it stands alone at the top!

This place has excellent wings… I enjoy the garlic and the Cajun wings most… now the service is bad… at best… the upside is great if the service was decent… the atmosphere is good especially when the outside is open… this place could do better… I sat waiting for a drink for 20 minutes after just walking in… come on Jerry…

Wings were delicious. Went on a Thursday, 50 cent wing night. BBQ & Garlic were awesome! Will definitely be back!

Pros: good wings, good half price Thursday deal and nice wait staff. Ally was our waiter and she was nice and very responsive to get our order.
Cons: loudest dining area. Ever. It sounds like everyone is screaming over each other in a gymnasium. Bring ear plugs and be prepared to read lips. You can’t hear your own thoughts. They need some acoustic foam on the walls. Seriously.
Other con for me would be that they are a sports bar with lots of distracting TVs. I’m sure most people love the distraction and meaningless sports games, but that isn’t me.
I would not recommend this place at all if you are trying to have conversations with your friends.
I would recommend this place for cheap wings at the cost of loosing your hearing.

Absolutely love this place. I’ve been here more times than I can count (even had my graduation party here) and will keep coming back for sure. I definitely recommend it.
$$ — 70.20 for a 15 wing sampler, two cheesesteaks, BBQ pork sandwich, buffalo chicken wrap, 6 pints, and a sprite.
Drinks — the bar at Curran’s is stocked pretty well with lots of different drafts, including several IPAs and craft brews. happy hour Mon-​Thurs $ 2 domestic pints. my only complaint in this section is the coldness of the brews. they’re not warm but they could definitely be colder.
Food — Curran’s is definitely more bar than restaurant, but the menu is big and the food is good. the wings are known around here because they’re delicious. Cajun is the best flavor, but I love them all. the cheesesteaks are good also.
Service — not good by wait staff, bar staff is good. they’re all very nice, but we could’ve gotten our refills faster walking to the bar ourselves than by the waitress. manage your expectations here.
Ambiance — sports bar! lots of TVs throughout so you won’t miss your game. indoor and outdoor bars (summer time with the awning makes for a nice time). trivia: the seats they use for the restaurant are made from the old pews of our local church and Catholic school (representing St. Bernard’s). big windows mean lots of natural light and nice breeze. there’s also a juke box!
Extra — Fridays there’s live music and Saturdays there’s a DJ and live music. shuffleboard in the bar area! one thing I must add: sometimes there’s minimal parking on the street if you’re coming up State Road (southbound) towards the new 95 on-​ramp. make that right at the light on Longshore and there should be parking along Longshore. if not there’s a parking lot right there on the left (next to the on ramp) which always has room.

The wings were good, best in the city? I’ve had better. I went on a Thursday when wings are $.50, ordered the garlic parm and mild wings along with curly cheese fries and onion rings. The sides were great except the sauce that came with the onion rings. The wings were OK. Fried well but the garlic parm didn’t have much flavor/​seasoning, the mild was the right amount of spice but again no flavor.
The service on a scale of 1 to 5 was a 1.5. My waitress hardly checked on us, it took almost 30 min just to receive just the fries and another 30 to get the remainder of our food. 1 hour total. We ordered a beer that took 15 min to come and her excuse was that it was backed up but we watched… She never went to the bar to see if it was ready. How long does it take to pour beer in a glass?

Great food, great environment, reasonable pricing for their craft beer list and awesome place for parties out on their new beer garden on the patio! This location is also being voted for the best wings in philly! Here is the website to read the review for Curran’s inn @ tacony!
