Okay Curbside Chef bit the dust as this one of those«cursed corners» that you hear realtors talk about amongst themselves. However, the very good news is that Trios has moved in! I am waiting for them to deliver a special Sicilian pie even as I write this. We had it at the local poker game last week and the pizza was killing. We also ordered Santucci’s about fifteen minutes later… you figure it out Einstein… cough cough.

Just walked over here for a quick bite to eat on a Sunday at 2:30 in the afternoon when most other places are closed in the area. I was the only person there and placed my order with [agreed] the very adorable young woman behind the counter. It took about ten minutes for my quesadilla. I’m still debating if I think it should be faster than that. I would recommend calling ahead. For $ 8, it wasn’t the most filling quesadilla I’ve had but it was probably the most well prepared and it was very yummy. I’m only a couple blocks away so I’m happy that there’s a place like this in walking distance.

The Service that my friends and I received from here was beyond awesome! We stumbled upon here when we were looking for a quick bite to eat before they went back to The Fire, and I made my way to The Barbary for the YMD show at the Barbary. we were dreading our options of Long John Silvers, Pizza, and far Mcworse(I know there’s Johnny Brenda’s but you just don’t go there when you’re trying to make it to 2 other venues as is!). that’s when we noticed that the spot that used to be El Wingador’s failed restaurant had new tenants. we were apprehensive at first, but I’m glad we tried it out. We were expecting fast food by the look of the place. But we were surprised to find a spot that offered fresh home cooking and plenty of veggie options. it’s not altogether cheap, but it was worth every penny. we went for quick so between us we got chili, grilled vegetables, and a loaded baked potato. There were a couple kinks, one of my friends picked up a flat soda and they made 2 orders of vegetables. but it was rectified and given away to us for free with no problem. and they made sure that everything was fine every step of the way afterwards and before. Don’t let the fact that it looks like a fast food joint drive you away like it almost did for me. Otherwise you may miss out on pasta loaded up with seafood, fresh meatball sandwiches, vegetarian chili and SOMUCHMORE! the only complaint is that it does look like a fast food joint and there isn’t much seating aside from 3 stools. but they do take out and deliver. they even cater which is something I’d recommend.

This place just opened a week ago and doesn’t have signage yet. I had a meatball hoagie and a cup of soup and both tasted homemade and delicious while still being super quick. And although it’s not the cheapest food, it still earns it’s keep by being a cut above. It’s also open from 10a to 10p during the week and 10a to 3a during Saturday(no Sunday, boo.) The owner is super nice and willing to learn a name which is a far cry from the normally terrible service that lacks a personal touch. I hope they succeed!
