Champagne Cafe

If I could give less than 1 star I would but since I can’t, I’ll allocate the star to the music & friendly patrons.
My long time friend likes these types of places & I’m happy to tagalong… Wish I didn’t on this occasion.
Got here about 7:30pm, were seated promptly; although we hadn’t planned on staying… My friend ordered the salmon salad, that was recommended to her, well she should have gone out to grow her own leaves & fish for the salmon herself because it would have come quicker.
The waitress took our drink orders at the same time yet we didn’t get anything for 40mins. We flag her down and ask about the order she has the cheek to say, ‘well the bar is over there… I don’t know what is wrong in the kitchen. Do you want me to check?’ What the heck did she think her role was? And her disrespectful jibe at my accent didn’t go unnoticed either but my friend & I had no interest in ‘going there’.
I said we should just scrap it & go but my friend noticed the same waitress with her mates hovering near us & they wanted a table. Hmm.
My friend went to ask another server about the order who said it would be another 15mins for the salad… FOR A SALAD! She was adamant that crew wasn’t getting the table… We waited… By 9pm they put music on which was old skool & we reminisced… Did I mention it was now 9pm?
Waitress appears with drinks ‘on the house’ of which I said the 1^st round should have been too… She scurried away… Still no food. At 9:50pm my friend’s food appears, I was hoping fresh from Nova Scotia but no joy. We departed.
The moral of the tale, don’t ever go to this place if you’re hungry, speak with a non-​native accent or abhor bad service.

First time here, great food and drinks are reasonable price. Just found another hangout spot

Walking up to this establishment, I had no idea what to expect. I parked across the st. I’m unaware if they own some type of parking lot, but I dont think so.
I must say I was impressed with the venue. There’s a sort of older crowd here, which isn’t a problem for me.
They had a dj with live music (urban music), and football playing on a big screen which made me happy!
I heard they have a dance floor, which I did not see. I will return to this place on a weekend, and give an updated review.

Worst food I have ever had in Philadelphia. Soggy, half cooked frozen food.

It’s been a long time since I’ve been here!!! But things don’t change!!! We need the neighborhood establishments in order to stay abreast. Keep it up Champagne.

Came here fir a super bowl party. Who ever was the host of the party was so unorepared, drinks were not even out when the doors opened. the food fir what I heard was great. Sadly to say that I would had had a better time at home. they only had two 54″ tvs I was like really, but it was to late for me to leave… oh well is what it is.

This place is for grown folk. Food is on point to be a bar (owner’s call it café). Barmaids are very friendly and they always remember my drink. Much love to my girl Ashema she hooks me up with her drink called a Slow Motion, very friendly and easy on the eyes.
