Ceremony Tattoo Society

Ceremony Tattoo Society is a Philadelphia gem. I followed Andrew (resident tattooer) to Ceremony from another shop and I’m so glad I did! The space is beautiful and the entire staff is warm, talented, and generally rad to be around. You will not regret paying Ceremony Tattoo Society a visit!

My first thought upon entering was that I wanted to live there. Beautiful, comfortable space and a soundtrack peppered with Sisters of Mercy & Siouxsie Sioux. I had been emailing with Kristel for a few weeks regarding a half sleeve & was really excited to get started. Once she traced my arm she felt what we’d talked about would be too much to fit so after a few minutes discussing which parts were my favorite, she somehow managed to turn my idea into something I didn’t realize I desperately wanted. She was awesome. I’m in love with my tattoo & can’t wait to get back there for the color. Kristel was really sweet, her work was phenomenal & the entire place just had a really nice, laid back vibe. Like you’re hanging in the living room with some amazing artists. Highly recommend.

Do yourself a favor and get tattooed by Andrew at Ceremony.
First, this place is gorgeous, comfortable, quiet, and clean. So perfect.
Andrew is an excellent artist and all around rad guy. His style ranges from sweet to badass — my favorites are the pieces in between. He has worked with drawings I’ve brought in and also drawn stuff for me from scratch. He always makes sure I’m in love with my tattoo, that I’m super comfortable, and that I have a fun, chilled out, good time.
Highly recommend for first timers, seasoned professionals, locals, out of towners… anyone who wants an awesome tattoo and a really great experience.

This isn’t like a typical tattoo shop. The atmosphere of the shop and the people are very welcoming and laid back.
All of the artists have wonderful work. I have work done by Gia. She is such a wonderful person and amazing artist. I have two pieces done by her and my boyfriend has one. I’ll be returning for my third piece in a few months. Can’t wait!
