Gimmy pizza. P I Z Z A. This place is a great stop for a mid week dinner. The food is very reasonably priced. Large pizza, salad for two and homemade house bread. Only $ 21. Cassizzi’s is byob. Which makes it that much more awesome. The pizza is always delicious. I happen to like it way more than Tacconelli’s.

first off, i am all about supporting local businesses, but 3 times now and this place has done nothing but disappoint, on every level. Real Italians would shoot up this place for slandering their cuisine. The margherita pie was insulting. It’s a shame, the crust was thin and crisp, but the rest was failure. Fried basil chips? U serious? The chicken parm wasn’t even worth half of it’s price. How hard is it to put out a decent Chicken Parm? We also have a 6 $ side of broccoli rabe, that was about 2 ounces and was littered w/tomatoes and red onions. What gives? Never again… Go to Franco’s in Fishtown if you want decent pizza.

I had a recent meal here. Service was slow, but extremely courteous. The server explained why my meal was a bit slow coming and took care of me well. I appreciate that food is prepared to order. The décor is nice, warm and cozy. Not overlit, overdark or overloud. Food is uneven. Well prepared, but ingredients coild have been higher quality. Salad was perfectly dressed with a tasty vinaigrette, but sadly was 90% made of iceberg lettuce. The risotto was perfectly cooked and seasoned — not gummy or runny, garlicky without being overwhelming — but the shrimp were substandard; the pieces were small and chewy. Nice, big, tasty Carolina shrimp are cheap enough these days and easy to prepare. It is a little disappointing when a restaurant is almost there. I would eat here again, but next time, I’ll try the pizza.

The last two times I ordered delivery from Cassizzi’s it came cold(not even slightly warm) and soggy. Such a disappointment to get cold pizza and calamari. Also, the prices changed on the menu, but not on Grub Hub. My order ended up being about $ 8.00 more than it advertised online. For this place, I’d say DONOTORDER! If you have time, visit this place and dine-in. Otherwise, I would say hold off on the delivery… this service seems to have more kinks to work out.

Before I get started… THISISLOCATEDINPORTRICHMOND, NOTKENSINGTON!!! Now that I got that out of the way… this place is a very solid neighborhood spot. I believe it is a BYOB& has very good food for fair prices. The chicken caesar salad is definitely the best I ever had. This is a great spot to get together with friends. I am hoping it takes off as it is a very cute little place.

In search of a deliverable pie, i gave Cassizzi’s another shot to win me over, as my girl is out of town. Man is this place close to being my go-to delivery pizza place. Here is all they need to do, and they got me along with my mouth, that will spread the news. 1. Less sauce on the Red Pie, 2. Less toppings(in my case too much pepperoni) 3 – 4 slices per slice, is max you need. 3. A little more Cheese. 3 steps, and I got you on speed dial and Tac’s may have competition

I support local business anyway, but I was excited to learn that Cassizzi’s has moved to the next level. They have a new chef, and it shows. James Molineri(sp?) used to work at Stephen Starr’s Bliss, and that’s a great word to describe his food. The mark of a good chef is how well he executes the simplest dishes, and this was a wonderful meal. I had a delightful and summery mozzarella and basil salad with sweet onions and basil in a vinaigrette, followed by a lightly seasoned rib-eye steak, covered with crisply browned mushrooms in a glazed sauce. The steak was accompanied by spinach cooked with garlic and oil, and small roasted brown potatoes with sea salt. For dessert, I had one of their wonderful cannolis, which are never soggy. The whole thing cost me $ 25WITHTIP.(They have a dinner club, which offers regulars a discount on entrees to regulars.) I’ve paid a lot more for less. I’m so thrilled that I get to eat like this without going to Center City. Parking can be a pain, but trust me, this place is worth it.

Margarita pizza was pretty good but given the other pizza places to order from in the area this wouldn’t be the first one i would call. As for dine in: Had an entrée but it was very forgettable.
