Some of the best staff in town. Great food, great people, very knowledgeable. Happy hour is perfection.

Very nice place, it’s located right in the midst of I guess what you could consider«fishtown» on 2nd street. Nice sized bar, indoor and outdoor seating. We came for dinner a few hours before closing on a Sunday night. Opted not to sit outside because it was a little chilly, we took a nice window seat instead. My only complaint about our seating, was that the table was too small for all of our food! Lol the meal started with chips and dip(awesome) and we ordered chips and guacamole so good! Our next item was elote(corn), although too charred it was pretty good especially the spicy sauce they played it on. For our entrees I ordered Tilapia tacos so good! My gf ordered the faghita, it was so good she had to order extra sides. I’d definitely recommend this place, I’m looking forward to our next dinner date

the chimichanga is out of this world… tried several different proteins like shrimp, al pastor and carnita. they’re all VERY good! the passion fruit mojo wings are bangin’ too! a little dry at times but very appetizing and tasty! the margaritas are good~ tad pricey for the amount but nevertheless a must when dining for mexican food! i also love the late hours at this place, i can roll up whenever without worrying about what time it closes~

I had the pleasure of dining here tonight, upon arrival i was warmly greeted by a most friendly and helpful hostess a young lady who seated me promptly & was rather very pleasant and i couldn’t help but notice keeping very busy busing and setting tables and efficiently seating people simultaneously. My server was equally adept at her duties as well as i was promptly served complimentary generous portions of chips and 2 rather tasty dips. I ordered the chicken chimachanga .it was also very tasty with obvious high quality ingredients. All the patrons seemed to be enjoying themselves and there food all looked delish. I passed on the drinks and dessert perhaps next time. which will be soon.

Decided to give this place another shot after a hiatus from it for a while. We(party of 2) were seated inside and told there was a wait list for the garden. Our waitress greeted us and we placed our order within ten minutes. The mahi chimichanga was dry and inauthentic. Note that this restaurant is cheap; you want sour cream? $ 1 upcharge. Cheese? $ 1 upcharge. Side of guacamole? $ 1 upcharge. These upcharges add on top of already grossly overpriced food. My chimichanga w/mahi cost about $ 14 and didn’t come with a side of rice or beans. It was dry and there was barely any mahi in it. My partner’s Seitan fajitas were lackluster. Fajitas were not lightly toasted(soggy and microwaved), the vegetables were bland and worst of all — it wasn’t sizzling and barely hot! Margaritas are super weak here. We won’t return.

The food was good but but very authentic. Thw margaritas were very small and for what I call a regular size they up charge. .thwy up charge for frozen, it’s just ice in a blender. This place is good but way overpriced. And waiter did not pay much attention to us. I don’t think I’ll go back.

This place was so amazing. I went with two friends for dinner. The ambiance was really nice. Their outdoor patio looked amazing but was full, looked like the best seats in the house. The music was great and the food… fantastic. Even the bathrooms were clean, which is a big deal for me! My fellow vegans, they have a great selection of vegan options. You get complementary chips and salsa. This restaurant looks like a great place for late night drinks, but the drinks were really pricey. I got a 6oz drink for $ 12, and that was an average priced drink. If they have happy hour, which I didn’t notice if they did, I would definitely come back and bring more friends.

First off, to the people who made this place, I LOVEYOU! I’ve been here about three times and each time I’m just blown away. The food is always good and the drinks are great too! The service is what I really love about this place. My waiter checked up on me probably ever 10 – 15 minutes and I loved it! Its like he genuinely cared! Excellent, give that man a raise… I don’t remember his name though lol. Nevertheless, this is cool place, with great food, great atmosphere and its in a cool area!

Absolutely fantastic. The vibe in here is super cool. The guacamole is heavenly. I ordered a chicken chimichanga. I ask for no refried beans. No problem! It was delicious. The classic margarita was very tasty! I can’t wait to go back! 2 thumbs up!

I hate to give such low stars because the food was really good, but the service was THEWORST. We came into the city for a show at the Fillmore and walked over here because we were craving margaritas. We were seated with in seconds and then waited. We only saw our waitress once to take our order and she never came back. I had to ask hostesses and other random waitstaff for more drinks and whatever else we needed. Oh, and the Hair Nation station that was blasting so loud no one could talk didn’t help the situation. No one wants to listen to Bön Jovi that loud while they are eating.

Don’t get me wrong… the food is delicious. Love the menu and the drinks. 2 stars are for the service. Sometimes the service is on point and some days(not even when it’s busy) not so good. I would have given them 4 stars had it not been for a particular grievance… I love hard shell tacos, and they had an American hard shell taco served with ground beef on the daily special. The first time I ordered the taco I asked if I could replace the meat with beans. The waiter had to ask the cook(why? Is this a complicated dish), but they let me do it. Then, after eating there several times after that, they had the American hard shell taco on the special menu again. I asked a second time if I could replace the meat with beans(again, the waiter had to ask)… She came back to tell me the cook COULDNOTREPLACETHEMEATWITHBEANS!!! Wow! Really really? So apparently, tacos are such a complicated dish(meat, lettuce, tomato, cheese, hard shell taco), that they could not just reach over and scoop black beans into the hard shell instead of ground beef! So people, this is the service at Dos Segundos.

Came here with a group of 7 people for dinner. Was sat at a round table. Service was phenomenal! The restaurant was packed but you’d never know with how well they kept up with the our table. Great ambiance — very relaxed and chill vibe. Good was excellent with good portion sizes. Our waitress never rushed as or made us felt encroached upon either. I ordered the quesadilla and the tortilla it was made on was excellent. Definitely recommend coming out here with groups to kick back and have a good time.

We went there excited after reading good reviews on Unilocal. But it turned out to be a total disappointment! When we arrived, there was nobody in the front to seat us. After waiting about 5min, somebody seated us and left without even giving us a menu. Even as we were looking around to catch someone’s attention, the service staff ignored us the entire time. It is a shame because the place seemed like a nice place to go and our experience was disappointing. We felt awkward and unwanted. Had to leave without even getting chance to order our food.

My husband and I went to this place a couple days back and we really had a great time! The ambience is awesome and where we sat was perfect. I love the décor of this place and everyone that worked there was super nice. We got the carnita tacos and ceviche which was amaaazing! I am so in love with those tacos! And me and my husband shared 3 tacos and the ceviche and it was perfect. The drinks here are pretty good too, they made me a blended pineapple margarita… Delicious! Id say try this place out if your looking for a trendy mexican restaurant. Great for dates or celebrations… We also met a guy who works here from wisconsin(our home town) and he gave us some tequila shots and it was SO nice talking with someone from home, it made us really happy! We will be back:)

Okay — so I visited here a couple of weeks ago because my sister was in town. We arrived around 7 and didn’t get seated for over an hour and a half. Granted we didn’t have a reservation and it was Saturday night, but something seemed outstandingly unorganized. I will say — if they didn’t have such a nice, personable staff this review would be even worse. The hostesses seemed very concerned we weren’t seated, and the waitress was such a sweetheart and did everything in her power for us to get seated and served. I’m honestly surprised they didn’t offer to serve us a round of free drinks or something for having been so patient! Food: I had some of the corn soup, which was delicious and the portion is quite filling. I also ordered a chicken chimichanga which was slightly disappointing. It was sort of greasy and lacked heat in terms of spice. I also had a blood orange margarita which was so delicious! I would definitely have that again. All in all, I have to give it another chance. Maybe just not come on a Saturday night. It’s not conducive to sitting down and just having conversation over great food. The atmosphere was so loud and obnoxious that night between the hustle and bustle and the loud music.

I’m not sure if this is the true depiction of the service and quality of drinks. We came here on Christmas Eve to grab some margaritas, I was so disappointed with the margarita that we ordered. The lime tasted like concentrated lime juice and a fresh squeezed lime juice like it’s supposed to be. It was watered down and couldn’t taste tequila. To me consistency is very important regardless it’s Christmas Eve or any Wednesday, customer should be able to get the same quality no matter what. We didn’t get a chance to try the food since the kitchen was already closed… Perhaps in the future!

The food and margaritas at Cantina Dos Segundos is amazing! Although I was very upset at first because my reservation got screwed up, the hostess was so kind and quick to resolve the issue for our group of ten. Service was a little slow but they were busy. All of our friends raved about the food and drinks the whole time. The environment is very chill and dark. I love northern liberties and the fact that the Piazza is close for parking. The bar area has a large space with plenty of standing room and some high tables while the other side of the restaurant is almost a seperate sit-down area with lots of tables. There are tables for large parties and as far as I know, a nice outdoor area. I love that they accept reservations even on Saturdays. Food everyone tried: chicken nachos, tacos, enchiladas, quesadillas, chimichangas, chips and salsa, chicken wing sampler, tres leches cake. Everything was fantastic. I am excited to go back for a date night!

Met a girlfriend here for lunch because she’s a regular here. I had the beef empanadas, which were surprisingly filling for the size of the order, & she had the small order of chicken nachos. Both orders were pretty tasty, & I would like to try other dishes on future visits. We also had a couple flavored margaritas. watermelon for her, strawberry for me, then we tried the mango. All were yummy, & the mango one had nice juicy bits of fresh fruit in it. We were unfortunately disappointed with the dessert. We selected the chocolate churro beignets, which looked better than they tasted. They were bland on the inside & too hard/chewy on the outside, & it was $ 8⁄9 for 3 pieces. Server was friendly and attentive, though I didn’t get her name. Bathroom was downstairs & sort of dim in an «ambient» way, but it was cute.
