Decent burgers, great shakes, and fun sitting area. One of the best places in the Penn campus to have an under $ 10 real beef burger.

I had the Brunch burger, really a wise choice. Invest today! I’ve only ever had the dark chocolate shake, but I’m supremely satisfied with that as well.

We love coming here. The burgers are always fresh. The place is super clean and the servers are very friendly and helpful. Try the sweet potato fries. Yum

REALLYGOOD! Whatever you do. Make sure you get some of the burger sauces for your burger and fries. Thank me later.

The burger menu is quite extensive, with an innovative array of toppings that make the act of choosing what to get quite exciting. I got the New Mexico burger, which came with pickled red onions and queso and green peppers — it was quite messy to eat(not a great first date location), but was flavorful… not the best burger I’ve had(might be because of the texture of the bun, it seemed a bit limp), but decent. You also have the option of crunchifying the burger for free(which basically means adding chips in your burger, which seems like an unusual concept but 1) it’s free chips and you can get it on the side and 2) chips make everything better!) Also ordered the sweet potato fries, which were good but not as amazing and crunchy as I remembered — the horseradish mustard sauce that comes with it is quite yummy, so worth a try! They also have spiked milkshakes, which is great for a casual midday celebration when you want to drink but don’t feel like ordering an actual alcoholic drink. Overall, I like the menu selections and the innovative nature of it, but execution seems to have gone down a bit from the first few times I came here.

I’ve eaten here a couple of times and every single time i come back, i feel as though the service takes TOOLONG. The burgers are alright and easily comparable. I wouldn’t say that they are the best burgers for the price but It’s good enough to fill cravings of a burger. I came here yesterday just to get a Pistachio milk shake for the road and it took about 15 minutes just to receive a milk shake! That’s just crazy to me. The milkshakes are also pretty expensive when compared to the portion. Basically, you’re paying for a small milk shake(no other size available) for 5 dollars. That’s just crazy. The portion-cost comparison just isn’t there for me. I don’t think this place is ALL that BAD but I feel as though I have more cons about this place than pros.

We went before the movie theater. We were excited to try because it’s BObby Flay but the burgers were just ok. For an $ 8 burger, it was small and underwhelming. The French fries and onion rings were their saving grace. The service was excellent and they came over a few times to see if we needed anything. My friends got the pistachio milk shake and felt it was decent. If they came again they would get it but would not go out of their way to come for a shake. I think for the prices and the underwhelming burgers I wouldn’t come back. Shake shack is better and prices are cheaper.

I am a huge fan of burgers. Been to this place maybe half a dozen times. This place is OK — the burgers are interesting and the fries/onion rings are good. My favorite is the brunch burger, but its very rich and after downing it with a side of onion rings and a milk shake you just want to go outside, curl up in a ball, and hibernate. That being said it is a bit expensive for how small the burgers are. I return here not because the burgers are that extraordinary, but because I haven’t found a better place. Service is average. Had a few times when they gave me the wrong order.

I have no problem with the flavor of the food here. It tastes great each time I come. Two things keep this from being a 5 star review for me though. The rotating Burger of the Month keeps things interesting, but(unless I’m overlooking something or out of the loop) you can’t build your own. I am used to more choices and being able to customize. The burger selections seem pretty nice, but there’s only one that’s anything like what I would order if I got to choose the toppings. Since the one I always order is damn delicious, I might still rate five stars except for my other issue. Whenever I order to carry out, the service staff can never coordinate and get the food to me when it’s done. It sits in the window for a while with everyone peeking at it from time to time, then when I ask how much longer, I find out it’s the same bag I’ve been staring at for 10 minutes. I don’t understand why they don’t call out the order when it’s ready(if ordered in store) or why the order isn’t brought up when it’s paid for(if ordered over the phone). This has happened to me every time I’ve decided to do carry out, regardless of how busy the dining room appears to be & I’ve seen others experience the unnecessary wait as well. It’s not that hard to ask the people who are not dining in what the name of their order is, just to check. Everywhere else seems to be able to do it.

My friend has been hyping about this place for a while. He said it was better than Shake-Shack. I will have to disagree. The fries were hard, I had the brunch burger which came with eggs and bacon. The burger was somewhat salty and it tasted like a regular burger no «wow» factor. I will give 5 stars for service, the ladies cleaned up the table pretty quick for us and it was really pack. Some people were standing waiting for chairs. The restaurant was pretty clean, it kind of reminds of a modern diner. Will I come back? i was not impressed enough.

Bobby’s is one of those few places that I feel satisfied, after having to stomach the thought of plopping $ 15 down for a burger meal. While the service is friendly, it does take a loooong 10 – 15 minutes to get your burger; but that’s a small price of time to pay for something that comes out deliciously fresh each time. The fries are great, especially the sweet potato fries; much better than most places! And, it’s a great environment to chill with friends and people watch.

This is probably my third time being here and in times past, the service was decent and the food was always good. This last time, however, was not the greatest. A group of friends and I went this past Sunday in the late afternoon for burgers to sit in. We stood in the line for a while, a normal thing I’ve dealt with before. One of my friends asked how long the wait for the food would be and the cashier said«about 20 minutes.» We sat down right near the food window where we can see all the employees cooking and sending out orders. And then we waited… and waited… and waited some more, watching the very few servers scrambling with orders. Apparently, there were other customers waiting for their food before us and some even came up to the counter with receipts in hand asking about their orders. About 40 minutes passed and my one friend who ordered after all of us, received her order first. Then my other two friends received theirs but with a few sides missing and arriving one at a time. My order of one Turkey Crunchburger arrived 50 minutes after ordering. What made it worse was that it came after my repeated status requests and a huge mixup of burger orders at the counter. It seemed like the employees were making burgers and putting them out there with no order number and the three servers were confused. The back of house manager came out and reorganized, apologizing to each person whom she gave an order to. The actual Turkey Crunchburger was awesome! I really enjoyed it and the fresh lemonade along with it. I wish I received a refund or restaurant credit for the extremely long wait but I couldn’t find the manager on duty at the time and we had to rush out for a movie across the street. I would come back again for the food, but definitely not on a weekend. Maybe on a random weekday when it isn’t so busy.

Went there view months ago with my husband. Had a long line. Tried the burgers(i forget the names) and milkshake. It was fresh and taste good. The place is big and clean. But we think that its not worth to drive to come back since the burgers tasted not too special. Its a little overprice too

On our way home, my friend said«my burger was like really really good and that sh*t was perfect». He ordered the CrunchBurger with onion rings & fries with a strawberry milkshake, which was also really good with a lot of flavor according to him. He even said that it was probably the best food he’s ever had in Philadelphia(he’s from MD). I ordered the Dallas burger without the Cole Slaw so that made mine just a regular burger but it was still good. The French fries came with the BBP sauce which was a little spicy but a good combo with the fries! I also ordered the black + white milkshake and I was sipping that milkshake until the glass was empty lol. At the end, we were both very full & happy! For our entire order it was $ 36 so the prices were pretty reasonable and we would definitely come here again :)

This place a no for me. Spending $ 9 – 12 on a «gourmet» burger that is closer to a slider? It ain’t for me. The burgers are delicious, yes, but it’s definitely hyper-overpriced. It’s always really crowded here for lunch and dinner so prepare for a wait. The milkshakes are wonderful, but again, overpriced! It’s good food but you can get better for cheaper. University City has amazing restaurants — I wouldn’t suggest wasting your time on this one.

I’m not impressed like I should be since this is suppose to be bobby flay’s burgers joint. I had the LA burger and some fries. It is a good burger by all mean but it just isn’t exceptional, not something I’ll miss or something I’ll make into a destination. I do like that the fact that when I order a medium rare burger, I indeed get a medium rare burger which was a nice touch since a lot of place tend to over cook it to medium.

Bobby’s Burger Palace in Cherry Hill hit the spot for me. Perfect for the Cherry Hill Mall food scene and the location featured simple Americana burgers done right. So after waiting almost an hour for a table at The Fat Ham(they did away with reservations!), the GF and I decided to grab a bite at the Bobby’s Burger Palace in University City so we could make a movie time. It seems perfect for the Drexel-Penn crowd, burgers, fries, and onion rings for the college crowd. Makes sense! Classic Burger [$ 7.95] American cheese, lettuce, tomato, red onion The GF went with the classic. The sesame seeded bun housed a burger that wasn’t well-seasoned however. And even worse? The accompanying pickle. It had the texture of tofu, which is to say there was no texture. Sad. New Mexico Burger [$ 7.95] Queso, roasted green chiles, pickled red onions I went with the New Mexico, which was also surprisingly flavorless. I expected more acidity from the pickled red onions and some depth from the chilies. The medium rare burger was cooked to temperature, but again no seasoning. And in case you were wondering — my pickle was long past as well. Half and Half [$ 4.50] Onion rings, sweet potato fries We went with the sweet potato fries and onion rings for our half and half order. The onion rings were great, though at only two, it was a sad pair. The sweet potato fries were crisp and well-seasoned fortunately. I didn’t understand why honey mustard came with the order though. Vanilla Caramel Bourbon Milkshake [$ 9] Not to completely poo poo on the experience, but the milkshake was fairly standard. The undertones of whiskey were there, however slight. The milkshake was smooth, with the sweetness of the caramel coming through with each sip. Overall this location could do better in terms of seasoning and certainly with taking care to ensure that their ingredients are up to snuff. I don’t want anyone to think I’m some pickle police, but they should not disintegrate upon mastication.

I realized how much I love Bobby’s today, when I saw a sign posted that they are in Philly Magazine’s Battle of the Burgers competition and I found myself scrambling on my phone to vote for them. Bobby’s has hands down one of the best burgers I have ever eaten, at a great value. I have tried almost all of the menu, and while the service can be slow, it’s worth it every time. My go-to burger is the New Mexico burger, with melty cheese, green chiles, and red onions. Great if you love spice. My favorite thing about Bobby’s is that the patty is always thick, juicy, and well-cooked. The toppings are well-chosen to enhance the naturally delicious flavor of the high-quality meat. My boyfriend is a huge fan of the brunch burger which has an egg on top. If you come here often, the burger of the month is often worth a try. Bobby’s has an unparalleled array of dipping sauces that you can’t find at any other burger joint. I like the jalapeño sauce and the chipotle ketchup. If you’re looking for something a bit lighter than a burger but still delicious, get the grilled cheese with tomato. A bit overpriced for what it is but always a stomach pleaser. The fries are great, and I don’t know what they put in the fry sauce, but it’s phenomenal. The milkshakes are super tasty, and if you’re over 21 and looking for an unorthodox pregame, get the vanilla bourbon spiked milkshake. SO. GOOD. My only complaints are that fries should come with the burgers, and the speed of the service. The staff can be inattentive at times, and once I waited 45 minutes between calling for take-out and actually receiving my order(don’t worry, usually not that bad). So I wouldn’t recommend it if you’re running low on time and just want to stop in for a quick meal. Also, avoid the Bobby’s house wine(really really bad, as we kind of expected). Tip: students get 10% off on Mondays! And make sure to get a Bobby’s card if you plan on coming often(which you definitely should) — you get a free burger after you spend $ 100. Bobby’s has converted me into a die-hard Bobby Flay fan, and I don’t even like his personality very much when I watch his Food Network appearances. But I can’t help it, his burgers are just so great.

Looking for a place to take my sister while she was in town we decided on Bobby Flay’s on the University of Pennsylvania campus. The restaurant is decorated in different colors delivering a cool, hip vibe. The menu is basically upscale fast food which is well presented by happy and attentive staff. We had : The DALLAS which is Spice Crusted and contains Coleslaw, Monterey Jack. BBQ Sauce, Pickles and the NEWMEXICO which was made with Queso Sauce and Roasted Green Chiles. I added a side of creamy avocado. Both sandwiches were delightful and satisfying. Plan to return
