Look it was awesome, the whole thing, the location, the tents, the bars were extremely well stocked with high end liquor which was amazing. With all of that, I had this feeling that the food was playing 2nd fiddle. That is why I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5. I am still trying to figure out why the organizers put Laurel, rated the Best Restaurant in Philly in the back corner of the VIP tent. When we went back visited with Elmi he was all alone which seems odd until you realize that most of the people were swarming the bar and it seemed that people were more concerned with being seen than they were with trying the food from the award winners. My favorite bites of the night were definitely the toast with uni butter and 24 month prosciutto from Brigantessa and the drum stick from IndeBlue bar. Overall I thought the restaurants were putting out some really good bites and slices of pizza. The Di Bruno’s tasting menu was quite good and I did like the Dietz & Watson booth. I think that if I am able to get some tickets next year I will go and VIP is definitely the way to go, but I will probably be more excited for Philly Cooks.

Once upon a time, in the land of the Brotherlyhood, Sari won a pair of tickets from Verizon Wireless(thanks Michelle P.) Long story short, there is one truth to be told, it was a memorable night. Live music by performances by Dj Adrian Hardy, Serop & The Sermon, superb and professional waitstaff staff– down to the final moments. and the food? words fail – after all, its samples of the best restaurants in Philly. The entire evening was truly enjoyable. As Aristotle said, quality is not an act, it is a habit. Four and half Unilocal
