I never knew that all the food places were in the basement until a few weeks ago

Gourmet Food Court is the other name but don’t expect gourmet foods here. The photos shows that they serve food here in glasswares but they don’t. It’s still a food court like your ghetto mall. I had phở at Younique Noodles and it was flavorless and served in a plastic bowl.

I came down to the basement level to eat/lounge and the tables were placed unreasonably far from the booth seats so I pulled it a bit closer. There were only a few people around and this worker walks by and COMMANDED me(well before I was leaving) to «fix the table» which was utterly rude since I do not even work here and he did not at least ask nicely. If that is the etiquette of this hotel’s hospitality, or lack of, then I won’t be coming back.

2.5 stars. Any place that admits it’s in the basement is honest, but it can only be so good. As far as food courts go, it’s «meh.» Pizza, faux Chinese, Salad Works, half-a**ed mediterranean, sandwiches, a grill, fake Mexican… for being at the Bellvue, it could step it up a notch. BUT, it’s fairly cheap, fairly fast, and has plenty of seats. I don’t go to the Bellvue to treat myself. I go there because I don’t feel like thinking about a quick lunch. NB– If you’re lucky, former Gov. Rendell will be down there buying some pizza. He’s approachable, so say«hi.»

I hate food courts, but amongst The Gallery, The Reading Terminal, The Bourse, The Liberty Place, and even The Comcast Center, this one is the oasis. For different reasons I dislike all the others. One thing particularly exclusive to Bellevue is the plush seating. It sounds so simple doesn’t it. Hard seats kill my buzz.

Best food court in Center City. Much better than Liberty Place. Bellevue has nicer wood tables and chairs compared to the cheap plastic ones at Liberty Place. Has some great places like the Maui Dog House and Angelos Pizza, along with a Saladworks, Bain’s Deli, Crêpe Town, Amazon Café, Asahi(Japanese), Tien Bo(Chinese), Ellen’s Bagels, Tom’s Grill, Boutros(Mediterranean), and the Yunique Noodle House. Usually a line at all of them during lunch. Personal favorites are Maui Dog House and Angelo’s.

A very fancy basement to have your lunch in! Stopped by for the first time today and was a little overwhelmed with the selection… I just got saladworks today but my coworker recommended the noodle place there… there is also a crêpe place! which i’ll be looking forward to next time. Then after lunch you can always get starbucks for dessert or a late afternoon pick-me-up! so perfect!

As far as FOODCOURTS go, the Basement at the Bellevue is just dandy. It offers selections from sushi, deli, ethnic, healthy-eating and much more. It’s a FOODCOURT… judge it based on that, not on it being a 5-star restaurant. To be able to walk to the Bellevue, pay $ 7 for my lunch and walk out with a satisfying meal is just fine with me!

I have been going to a conference at the Doubletree so this seemed like a good place to head for lunch. There is a good variety of cuisine offered: burgers/hot dogs, pizza, chinese, japanese, cheesesteak, deli, salads, etc. I went on a Saturday so it was pretty dead so finding a seat was not a problem. Unfortunately for me the ATM was broken and there were quite a few places that only accept cash. I ended up ordering at the burger place. It was okay. Nothing to rave about. Also, some places were closed during the weekends.

I’ve been working in the Bellevue for the last couple months, and it is incredibly difficult to motivate myself to pack a lunch when there are so many options just an elevator ride away. Until I run out of cash and realize how much I’ve spent on lunch already =P The food court has a great variety to choose from: Chinese, Japanese/Thai/Vietnamese(there are several places that offer a mix of those foods), pizza, deli, smoothies & wraps, salads, Greek, and they’re opening an «American» one soon I think. There’s more seating around the corner from the main area, so we’ve never had a problem finding tables. Just make sure you have some cash with you, as some of the places don’t take cards. There is an ATM down there tho just in case =) On a side note, I’ve found that the people who work in the various fooderies are all very friendly, and it’s always a pleasure.

This food court used to be much better. It now has a saladworks, a chinese place, and Italian place, a cheap mexican place and is only open for lunch. Super crowded. I am not a fan.

I’d heard about this place as an upscale food court with international offerings. That might have been true ten years ago, but these days most food courts have Japanese, Chinese, and Italian options as well as deli and fast food like McDonald’s. I was really disappointed. If you need fast food options in the area, it’s nice. They also have free wifi and plenty of seating.

This is not the place to go if you are feeling at all indecisive. I go about 2 times a week, usually with a good idea of what I want and I pretty much always get something different. There is a cute little sushi place that is really inexpensive and tasty, mexican, japanese, chinese, a few different delis and my new personal favorite… Noodle House! I had the beef pad thai and it was SO good! The guys cooking were happy to answer all my questions and asked before they put in any seperate ingredients(spice, peanuts and onions… I declined all three). I got a huge serving for around $ 6 and it was delicious. I think it will be my new go-to lunch.

This is probably the best food court I’ve ever been in. Tucked away in the basement of the Bellevue, the place isn’t nearly as popular as it should be with the quality and uniqueness of its restaurants and delis. There’s a Bain’s Deli where they make great sandwiches, a place that puts everything and anything on a bagel(Everything on a Bagel), and, my favorite, Full of Soup, which makes fresh, delicious soups everyday, many of them hearty enough to eat as a lunch. And the prices are no more than what you’d pay at a mall food court for crappy fast food.
