Bark. Play. Love.

My husband and I have lived in Philadelphia for five years. Two years ago we brought home a boxer puppy. We adore our dog so much and are very «picky» when it comes to dog sitters and walkers since our dog is more like a child to us. We went through several dog walkers and sitters that we were not happy with (didn’t stay over to watch our dog when they claimed to, didn’t show to walk our dog, we’re not flexible, etc). One day when I was googling dog sitters/​walkers I came across a new business called «Bark, Play, Love». The prices seemed very reasonable so my husband and I decided to hire Shannon as our dog walker for Norman. We were beyond pleased with their business– so when we had to go out of town for a wedding I had Shannon babysit Norman for the weekend (and I do not board my dog!) I usually take Norman everywhere with me and we travel a lot. However, Norman couldn’t come with us across the country. Shannon knew I was nervous about leaving Norman so she even let my husband and I along with Norman come over to get used to his surroundings. In addition, she knew I was nervous leaving Norman so she sent me pictures and updated me frequently. She always responded to my emails immediately. In addition, Shannon is so flexible. I often had to change days or times and she always understood and adjusted her schedule accordingly. She even brings Norman holiday treats. We are now moving out of state and I am so sad we won’t have «Bark, Play, Loves» services. I highly recommend them– you won’t be disappointed and I have tried several dog walkers in the area!

Shannon and bark.play.love are the best. Easy to deal with and dependable. She is open to working out what you need rather than making the client adhere to a set of «rules» like some other pet sitting services. I have also been very impressed by community involvement, I have seen representation at both Roxborough Dog Park meetings and at concerts in Gorgas Park. A great option for my pets and I am getting to support my neighborhood at the same time. Insured, pet-​sitter certified and pet CPR certified also adds to my peace of mind.
