Apollo’s Pizza

Turkey club very good. No fork or napkins again. Order of fries and coleslaw. No fork or napkins and I requested it when phone order was placed.

Its hit or miss with cheese steak. Club is good, service when calling is like they are doing me a favor. Every time we order they never give us napkins.

I ordered a Hawaiian pizza for pick up. not only was my pizza never made. They said they would not put bacon on my pizza they refused. I was very hungry and looking forward to a nice Hawaiian pizza with bacon. I could see if your out of bacon but to deny a request bexause of ego is not cool. I won’t be going back to apollo pizza on conrad st. EVER!

Apollos never fails! I grew up in East Falls eating here and they are still just as good! The owners are super nice and everything is made fresh and to order. It’s definitely more of a delivery or take out place rather than eating in but they do have some tables. You can’t go wrong with the menu… some neighborhood favs are the pizza, Stromboli, pizza steak, chicken parm sandwich, and any of the sides. If you’re looking for a healthier option the salads are a good size, fresh, and yummy! My fav is the chicken Cesar or the garden with chicken. There’s a reason Apollos has been in business for 30 plus years! This is without a doubt an East Falls gem!

It’s not perfect, but it is fast, pretty delicious, and within walking distance for most people in East Falls. Not a lot of room for sitting down to eat, but my guess is most of their revenue comes from take-​out and deliveries. Parking is pretty tough for this mom-​n-​pop (literally) shop. What they lack in robust menu choices they make up for in charm, quick delivery/​take-​out, and fair prices. Great strombolis and hot wraps.

Extremely clean; we ordered stromboli that seemed made to order with fresh, high quality ingredients. The staff are a delightful part of the dining experience – they’re just so nice!

If you’re in East Falls and you want some great pizza, you should order from Apollos Pizza. They have the best pizza around here. The sauce is sweet and the cheese is stringy and delicious. Their strombolis are also really good. I like the cheesesteak strombolis the best. Ive been ordering here for years and the food is always consistently great. Very small neighborhood pizza shop in East Falls. My mom and I were looking for somewhere to go quick during my lunch break at work. The place we were looking to go was closed and before I had time to check Unilocal,my mom had already found this place on her gps and we were on our way. The outside was unappealing and the inside could use a facelift. It’s weird because this doesn’t seem like a place anyone would wanna sit down and eat at, there are only like four tiny tables. But, when we got here all but one of the tables were being used. It seems like they have some locals who are regulars around lunch time. We each just ordered a slice of pizza as we were crunched for time and grabbed drinks from the cooler. The people working, who I assume were the owners were so nice! The pizza slices were surprisingly pretty good, I had no complaints. The slices were hot and large. One thing that made me laugh was they had one napkin dispenser for everyone eating in there to share. Prices were more than reasonable. I would maybe try Appollo’s again for takeout.

Local pizza place. Very small so don’t expect to go there with more than one other person. Everything is shared, garlic powder, red peppers, etc. If you can’t find it look on one of the other three tables in the place. Even the napkins were in a community napkin dispenser which another customer shared but promptly took back. Lol. There is a wide selection of food to choose from. We just had slices of pizza so I can’t comment on anything else. Pizza was hot and delicious. Slices were large enough that we only needed one each. Drink choices are from the fridge, no fountain sodas. Owners were friendly. I would eat here again but maybe just get take out next time.

By far the best pizza I’ve found in east falls. I have tried pretty much every where with varying success, but apollos is consistently great food. Always fresh, ready quickly, and the family run environment is great. Ive had their pizza, salads, subs, fries and have never been disappointed. After 2 years of trying out different places in EF i pretty much only call apollos for pizza night now.

I feel bad writing this because the staff is so nice. But the pizza is terrible. The crust is too thick and does not taste homemade, no chewy crispy traditional style here. The sauce was bland and the whole thing was soggy from piling on toppings in a more is more kind of way. I have had similar pizza in the Midwest but come on, this is Philadelphia.

WOW! What in the world took me so long to try this place? UGH! I could’ve been enjoying all that goodness when I first moved to East Falls!
It took a snow storm to drag myself in here and man was I so glad I did! Pulled up and the owner of the place was outside shoveling (didn’t find that out until afterwards) and was quite friendly. Young lady at the counter was so personable and offered up recommendations since it was our first time.
My friend and I ordered a steak Stromboli and it was the best that I’ve had in quite a long time. Went back another time and ordered pizza and I WAS BLOWN AWAY! The sauce was WOW! The sauce/​cheese ratio was perfect! Let me not even begin to talk about the chicken cheese steak my friend ordered. It was chunks of marinated chicken breasts that were to die for. Reminded me of the OLD Ishkabibble’s on South Street (those who knew that place back when know what I mean).
This place is such a treasure in East Falls and worth every penny.

Three star pizza, five star friendliness and convenience.
It’s true that the menu has a Greek twist — not surprising given the name «Apollo’s». But I still have yet to try the Gyro and Greek Saks as others have suggested.
So far, the best pizza has been with spinach and broccoli as topping. The veggies are fresh and plentiful. A large regular pizza is about $ 8.50!!! So, it’s better to get a whole pie than a few odd slices (they do sell by the slice). They’ll also make you a small, personal pizza on pita for $ 4.00.
The service is always pleasant.

Literally around the corner from my place, so high marks for convenience. Great pepperoni and cheese stromboli and mozz sticks. I think the pizza is decent but my boyfriend doesn’t care much for it. Always a clean storefront and nicely greeted.

The most important thing to know about East Falls is that there really is NOTHING there– no grocery stores (the Marketplace they claim is «at» East Falls is really Allegheny and a pretty far walk) only a couple bars, 2 «real» restaurants, and less than 10 fast food places. Each fast food spot has their specialty, and Apollo’s is one of my favorites.
Here’s why: the best salads and grilled chicken I’ve ever found in a fast food/​pizza place. No matter how you want the chicken– as a hoagie, as a sandwich, in a salad– it is juicy, tender and deliciously marinated. The salads are big fresh and their dressings are delicious. I think this is because, as others have noted, the family who owns Apollo’s is Greek. (P.S. their Greek specialties are amazing — awesome gyros!!!). There is not a genuinely *good* pizza spot in all of East Falls, but Apollo’s is one of the top two in my book– they have a nice, medium-​thick crust, they don’t skimp on toppings and the sauce has flavor. Their ravioli platter comes with a buttered roll, a small salad, and tons of raviolis– you will be full and satisfied (if not blown away by the taste)…
The other reason is that I’ve been working down the street from Apollo’s for almost 15 years now and I have never had an unpleasant experience. Even more, every time I have called or gone in, the people have been super nice. They are committed to the neighborhood (and donate to different boys and girls clubs and organizations– which I really like in a local spot) and it seems like they really work hard to keep their food affordable and fresh.

After a long day, the idea of ordering take out sounded like the right thing to do. We ended up just ordering a variety of items. We had stromboli, a hoagie (or a grinder), and spaghetti with sausage. The stromboli was good but I have no basis for comparison since Ive never had stromboli before. The hoagie was good but chicken probably makes it not an actual hoagie. The spaghetti noodles were overcooked and mushy but the sauce and sausages werent bad.
I would never go out of my way to order at Apollos again. But since, my cousins live within blocks (and they deliver) it might be worth another trip for them.

If you like Greek pizza and live in East Falls — this is the place to go. There aren’t a ton of places to get pizza in East Falls, so the competition is not too steep… but they are right around the corner, not very expensive, and they have a very nice selection of subs and things to compliment the pies.
They have recently fixed the awning outside that was an eyesore, so my only major complaint has been addressed!

Nice local place for a quick bite to eat. Really really liked the meatball sub.
