I was doing a temp job for Wells Fargo and so I was commuting to the Gallery by train. Unlike most people, I need a smoothie to wake up rather than a coffee. Adam’s was the place to go. All fruit and ice. They had great stuff as Goldfinger(banana, strawberry and cantaloupe), and currently a monthly special of blueberry, rasperry and strawberry. Behind them is a buffet, that serves breakfast food and fried chicken, if you are need of something else besides smoothie. Adam, a personable and great guy, runs the register himself sometimes with assistance. When it was my last day at Wells Fargo, I told him personally I will miss the place. After all, how many places are there where health nuts and junk food junkies can go to?

Yes, yes, I know – the Gallery can be weird and gross and full of skeevy people. But since I’ve been taking the train to work, I have to traipse through it twice a day. In the morning, a quick stop at Adam’s for a smoothie makes it all better. My favorite is strawberry-banana but the others are pretty good too. Basically just fruit and ice blended into a creamy slush, they make me feel healthy and hydrated in the AM. Since Jamba Juice closed their South Street Whole Foods outpost, there’s been a void in my life that only blended fruit can fill. Adam’s, while no Jamba Juice, has certainly stepped up to the plate. Their bright containers of freshly cut fruit and bags of mixed nuts are a great grab for a midday snack, too.
